Pros: Gorgeous space. Great location. Lots of room. Fireplace. Very clean. Cozy. Perfect vibe for a winter cabin weekend. Extra travel size toiletries in the master bathroom. Excellent showers and bathrooms. Good water quality especially considering it’s well water (not too metallic tasting). Historic building, but perfectly updated while holding on to historic charm. Excellent price. Essentially no cleaning or extra work for checkout - easiest checkout I’ve ever had.
Cons: A ton of perfume plug-ins, smell was overwhelming for us. Kitchen was not as well equipped as we needed. Beds weren’t very comfortable.
Every year a group of my friends stay at a cabin for NYE weekend, which also happens to be my birthday weekend. This is the nicest cabin we’ve stayed in. The views of the snow covered fields from the windows while sitting by the fire were priceless. We wished there were more hiking trail options within walking distance, but the ones we found were only about 15-25 minute drive away, not too bad. We did a few mile hike each day and were back to the cabin for lunch and afternoon naps. The appliances in the kitchen are new and work beautifully, we just wished the kitchen were a little better equipped for cooking in. A whisk, can opener, electric mixer to go with the electric mixing blades, some metal mixing bowls, tea kettle for boiling water, some serving bowls/plates are honestly the only upgrades I can think of for the place. We didn’t want for much while we were enjoying tour trip. We are suckers for old historic architecture so we especially appreciated the little write up about the property and photos of the renovations.
The cabin is obviously most often used for weddings, as the decorations and quotes are all geared toward happily ever after love stories. This is a cute space for couples.
