About this property

The 13th century house is located in the historical center (closed to traffic) of the medieval town of Massa Marittima. Near the sea and surrounded by hills is ideal for both summer and winter. Recently renovated with stone walls, wooden ceilings.

The house has 3 floors. On the ground floor a large kitchen and living room with fireplace.
On the first floor a beautiful master bedroom, a bathroom with shower and washing machine, and a bedroom with a bed of a square and a half. Also on this floor a small courtyard gives access to a cave in which is stored the wood for the fireplace.
The second floor consists of two large double bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower and a balcony, which is perfect for enjoying the silence.

Remember that you can not get home with the car as it is in the city center, but you can leave the car at about 100 meters for a fee or 200 meters for free.

1 Woche Massa Matritima

Eine mit viel Liebe eingerichtete Ferienwohnung. Der Vermieter gibt sich große Mühe das es den Gästen gefällt. Das man nicht mit dem Auto bis vor die Tür fahren kann war kein Problem. es gibt genug kostenfrei Parkplätze in der Nähe. Die Ferienwohnung ist aber nicht für Menschen mit Gehbehinderung. Für uns war das eine sehr schöne Zeit dort!

Fazit

Gute Lage zur Erkundung des Ortes. Großzügige Räumlichkeit, man hat viel Platz. Sehr sauber. Leider kein W-Lan und kein kostenloses Parken in der Nähe, das würde uns aber an einer nochmaligen Buchung nicht hindern.

Caratteristica e fornita di tutto il necessario

Casa molto bella che permette di vivere appieno l'atmosfera medievale di Massa Marittima. Molto spaziosa (ha accolto due famiglie con rispettivamente uno e due figli) e dotata di tutto il necessario per una piacevole vacanza. Perfetta ad agosto per sfuggire dal caldo e per godersi da vicino il Balestro del Girifalco.

Unser Italien Urlaub

Nach 6 Jahren Sommerurlaub in Dänemark, hatten wir beschlossen nun endlich auch mal Urlaub im Süden zu machen. Wir haben 3 Kinder ( 2, 4, 12 Jahre alt).-dementsprechend auch viel Gepäck, daher sind wir selbst mit unserem VW Bus angereist. Das Haus liegt inmitten einer sehr schönen Altstadt. Hier ging das Problem auch schon los. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit in der Nähe beim Haus zu parken und die Koffer zu be-und endladen. Also waren wir gezwungen 2 KM weiter weg mit dem Auto zu parken und die Koffer durch die brütende italienische Mittagshitze zu schleppen. Unsere Kinder waren begeistert-:( das Haus selbst ist sehr schön toskanisch. Es ist sehr sauber und gepfleg-verteilt sich auf 3 Etagen.Nur leider gibt es kein Reisebett für Kleinkinder-somit hatten wir das nächste Problem. Die Treppen im Haus sind ziemlich steil und lang aus Stein. Unser kleiner war einmal abgestürzt (zum Glück ist nichts großes passiert). Der Urlaub wäre wirklich schön gewesen-aber mit Kleinkindern, kann ich das Haus nicht weiterempfehlen. Es war für uns keine Erholung, da wir ständig aufpassen mussten, dass kein Kind die Treppen runter stürzt oder aus dem Bett stürzt. Ich hätte mich gefreut wenn die Parksituation und Schlafsituation in der Beschreibung des Hauses gestanden hätte....denn dann hätte ich es nicht gebucht.

Genau das was wir gesucht hatten ! :-)

Der Urlaub fand im August 2018 statt. Wir -meine Frau unsere 3 Mädchen (alle 14 Jahre alt) und ich- wollten dieses mal einen Urlaub weder in einer Feriensiedlung noch auf dem Lande verbringen. In Massa Marittima haben wir genau das gefunden. Die Stadtwohnung liegt am Rande des Innenstadtbereichs, welcher schöne kleine Geschäfte, viele Restaurants, Eisdielen und viel Kultur zu bieten hat. Parken kann man auf öffentlichen Parkplätzen in der Nähe der Unterkunft. Der am einfachsten zu erreichende war am Stadtwäldchen (Parco della Rimembranza, hier war immer etwas frei). Um die Koffer zum Haus zu bringen kam man kurzzeitig (30min) in der Nähe der Unterkunft parken. (ca. 150m entfernt, Vorsicht steiler Berg dazwischen) Hier kann das Auto auch über Nacht stehen lassen, leider nur von 20Uhr abends bis 8Uhr morgens. Das Haus ist schön eingerichtet und ist im unteren Bereich angenehm kühl. Die Schlafzimmer etwas wärmer, aber man kommt (wir hatten bis 38Grad) ohne Klimaanlage aus. Die Ausstattung im Haus ist ordentlich. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Der Internetzugang über das WLAN war problemlos und erlaubte sogar das Stream von Filmen. An unserem ersten Wochenende hatten wir ein kleines Stadtfest an der Stadtmauer am Zweiten dann das große Weinfest. Echt spitze man kauf ein Weinglas und kann dann den ganzen Abend von Weinstand zu Weinstand gehen und probieren. In dieser Woche gab es an drei Tagen eine Oper auf dem Kirchplatz. Für Kenner bestimmt ein Highlight. Die Bühne ist zwischen den alten Gebäuden aufgebaut. Echt beeindruckend. Der Supermarkt COOP könnte aus unserer Sicht besser ausgestattet sein, hat aber einiges da. Die Strände in Follonica haben uns nicht so gut gefallen, deshalb sind wir etwas weiter nach Grosseto gefahren. (Kite Beach Fiumare). Dort kann man auch Kite-Surfen lernen und mit der Wasserbanane gezogen werden. In der Nähe waren die Kinder Reiten mit Strandbesuch. (Cavallonatura Equestrian Center Grosseto) Wie auch bei den anderen Bewertungen, kann ich an dem Vermieter nur ein Lob aussprechen. Das Haus war sauber und die Kommunikation immer spitze. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir empfehlen das Haus weiter. (natürlich nur wenn man gut zu Fuß ist, wegen des fehlenden Parkplatzes am Haus)

Soggiorno perfetto.

Borgo molto bello,e si mangia bene nei vari ristori. Casa molto bella e pulita,il signor Francesco non lo visto di persona,ma solo telefonicamente. Però mi a fatto un'ottima impressione. La consiglio vivamente.

Great vacation home / Tolles Ferienhaus

We, a family of 6, stayed at this vacation home from mid to end of July 2017. The house was great! 4 bedrooms, each with double beds, 2 full bathrooms, great kitchen with large gas stove and full size fridge and enough seating for all as well. Washing machine and dryng rack also available. The town has a Coop Supermarket which is great, restaurants and shops about 3 min down the hill. Lots of things to see and going on in town and the beach in Follonica is a mere 20km away. We found parking at the beach every day with no problem, 100 meter walk no more, 1,30€ per hour for parking or 6€ for the entire day. The beach was not crowed at all, so plenty of space. The water was warm and you can walk far out before it gets deep. Ideal for families with kids! All communications with Francesco were very easy from start to finish. I highly recommend this vacation home to anyone! Wir, eine Familie mit 6 Personen, waren von Mitte bis Ende Juli 2017 zu Gast in diesem Ferienhaus. Das Haus hat 4 Schlafzimmer, jeweils mit Doppelbetten und 2 große Badezimmer mit Dusche usw. Eine Waschmachine ist auch vorhanden. Die Küche hat einen großen Gasherd/Ofen und einen großen Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfächern. Der Esstisch bietet auch genug Platz für alle. Der Ort selber hat einige Sehenswürdigkeiten die man sich angucken sollte und in der Hauptseason ist immer was los am Marktplatz. In 3 min ist man zu Fuß mitten im Geschehen, Restaurants und Souveniershops. Der Ort bietet auch einen Coop Supermarkt in dem man findet was man braucht. Lidl, Pam und Coop gibt es auch in Follonica. Zum Strand in Follonica fährt man nur 20km. Toller Strand, überhaupt nicht überfüllt und toll für Kinder. Warmes Wasser und man kann weit rausgehen bis es tiefer wird. Wir haben mitten im Juli jeden Tag einen Parkplatz gefunden, circa 100 meter Fußweg bis zum Strand. Die Kosten von 1,30€ pro Stunde oder 6€ pro Tag fürs parken waren leicht zu vertreten wenn man sieht wie toll der Strand ist, vorallem in der Hauptseason! Francesco, der Vermieter war toll. Alles kein Problem von Anfang bis Ende. Ich kann dieses Haus nur empfehlen. Uns tat es am Ende leid das wir nur 2 Wochen gebucht hatten. Wir hätten definitiv noch eine dritte Woche buchen sollen aber wir mussten leider los.

Bezauberndes Haus mitten in der Altstadt

Als Familie mit 2 Kindern waren wir eine Woche zu Gast in diesem historischen und sehr schön renovierten Haus mitten in der Alststadt von Massa Marittima. Das ganze Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Durch die zentrale Lage haben wir das Stadtfest Balestro gleich voll miterlebt. Einkaufen lässt sich schön in den Geschäften in der Hauptstraße ums Eck. Zu den schönen Stränden in Folonica ist es auch nur ca. 30 Minuten. Massa ist ein tolles Städtchen das wir gerne nochmal aufsuchen und uns dann sicher auch wieder bei Francesco einbuchen.

Una casa con carattere e storia

La casa è più bella dal vivo che in foto, disposta su tre livelli. Al piano terra c'è una grande cucina con un bel tavolo per tutti gli ospiti con accanto un camino favoloso che non ho resistito ad accendere (anche se era agosto) per una grigliata ma soprattutto perchè l'ambiente circostante di vita vissuta, come la collezione di macinini da caffè e di ferri da stiro (le altre le lascio scoprire a chi avrà la fortuna di andarci), ti invogliava a vivere quell'atmosfera . Al primo piano due camere da letto, di cui una enorme, un bagno ristrutturato con un'ampia doccia e lavatrice. Al secondo piano due camere matrimoniali e un altrettanto bagno nuovo con doccia. Noi che eravamo due famiglie ci siamo trovati benissimo perchè ognuna aveva un piano con relativo bagno. La cosa importante, che non si trova facilmente nelle case in affitto, è la pulizia e gli accessori; qui trovate tutto dalla biancheria alle stoviglie ma soprattutto la pulizia. Consiglio di andarci anche per la splendida posizione di Massa Marittima che si trova a pochi km dalle più belle città della Toscana e dal mare, come Siena o Cala Violino. Inoltre la casa è situata nel centro della città vecchia dove si respira il fascino dei borghi medioevali con le sue scale, i suoi vicoli e la piazza del Duomo a pochi metri che permette di assaporare tutto il clima Toscano. Il proprietario, Francesco, è stato gentilissimo e molto disponibile.

Could not get better!

Thank you to Francesco and Victoria! This casa is just a dream in a perfect location. We spend a whole month there and loved every minute. The house is lovingly renovated and is equipped with high standard. Massa Marittima is raped around you and one has easy excess to the beach in Folonica plus site seeing to Siena or San Gigmiano and further are only day trips away. We recommend it everyone who s seeking authentic Tuscany living.

Una casa splendida

Eccezionale! Casa bellissima, comoda super accessoriata, adatta alle famiglia o a piu coppie che condividono le stesse passioni per le vacanze. Ambiente favoloso, romantico e che ben rispecchia il clima del paese. Vicinissima al centro e alle attrazioni da visitare. Vale la pena pernottare in questa casa così suggestiva!
