The listing does not show pictures of the paint peeling off the walls in multiply rooms. The house needs deep cleaned. Dust on all the TV tables was awful. There were no handrails in the bathroom to help balance getting in and out of the shower/tub. Someone else's leftovers in the fridge. All the partial bottles of shampoo and body wash left in the shower is tacky. the first-floor bed needs a new mattress. Cute house but needs a lot of work. It could be a great little house with some TLC. there was a good-sized hole in the closet if you had little ones playing hide and seek could cause an injury. The front door had a good-sized crack that rain actually came in. Upstairs TV never would connect. Needs handrails on all stairs on both sides for better balance.

Had some cute features, but the lodging needed some TLC. Damage to drywall needed to be repaired and the whole house needed some Spring cleaning (dingy/dirty baseboards/doors, caked on dust on return vents). We appreciated the owner's attempt to keep with period of the house (when it was built), cleanliness should take priority.
The house was perfect for us. My wife and I had a weekend getaway to historic St Charles. We spent most of our time out walking around downtown and used the house to hang out in the evening and sleeping. The neighborhood was quiet, other than traffic on the main road out front. The neighbors across the alley out back have junk everywhere, but doesn’t affect the property. Parking was a giant concrete pad behind the house. Could be great for 4 people with a king bed downstairs and upstairs. Attic bedroom is a little short, with needing to bend your head because of the roofline, but once you are in bed it’s fine. That’s the room we stayed in and it was very cozy. Will definitely stay again.
Host was responsive and kind even though VRBO was a disaster to deal with on this reservation. But no fault of the host. House is in a transitional neighborhood but very close to all tourist areas and convenient to Lindenwood University
Overall it was a good place to stay. Clean quiet and close to everything. I do wish I would have known that the upstairs bedroom is not for anyone over 5’11. And there is no door separating the rooms. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this place.
The house was perfect for our needs. It had a well stocked kitchen with lots of spices. The bathroom had a nice supply of shampoo and body wash. The furniture was all very comfortable. The house was located conveniently located close to stores and historic St. Charles. We would definitely stay again.
Excellent! Comfortable, clean and great location for our visit. There is a little TLC that needs to happen but the upgrades that were done were perfect.
It was a great little house with lots of charm. Slept great there and a really nice location. Only negative is there were cobwebs in every corner of the bedroom's ceiling, but it is September. We will be back.
My wife and I really liked the house and location. It seemed like some of the communication was a little slow but nothing that posed an issue with us getting there and checked in. One thing I think would be nice upgrade would be some more blinds on the windows. Particularly the kitchen and upper bath room windows. Bu otherwise we really liked the size and furnishings of the place and would recommend.
We stayed here to see a show at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater and the location was perfect for not only that but to get anywhere around the city. The house was adorable and the beds were super comfy after running all over town… Will definitely be back!!
Close to all St. Charles shopping. Close to St. Louis , the loop. We have stayed here twice . And will be back . Cute place for 4 adults or a family . Fenced yard , close to a park .
This was the perfect place for us to stay for the Paint the Town weekend in St. Charles. We were close enough to Frenchtown, that we were able to walk back and forth. The home was clean and the traffic noise was not noticeable.
My wife and I visited STL to take in a Cards game. We wanted to stay outside the city in order to catch a plan to Minneapolis the day after the game. This property worked out great. It was convenient off the highway, and the neighborhood was quiet. Caryn was very responsive with our questions. We had a positive experience and would return if the occasion presents itself again.
Loved the charm of this old house, it was clean and comfortable, perfect for our weekend getaway. The location was great and we felt right at home. Being from a small rural town the traffic noise was noticeable but not annoying. We would stay here again without hesitation and probably will if it is available the next chance we get to visit St. Charles.
Property was exactly as advertised, clean and comfortable. Beautiful older home kept in excellent shape, with beautiful woodwork in home. Great communication with owners. Close to fast food, walmart if needed and also close to a very charming Main Street type area. We enjoyed our stay very much.
