Valhalla is a charming and spacious villa, ideal for families in the summer and for groups of walkers and cyclists in the off-season. It is located in the heart of Binibeca, on a quiet cul-de-sac, just a few minutes’ walk from the horse-shoe beach and a number of bars and restaurants along the coast.
All of the bedrooms have air-conditioning (which double up as heating in the low season). The master double bedroom has views of the Mediterranean from its own terrace, and a newly renovated en-suite shower room. Another double bedroom also has a new en-suite shower room, whilst the twin and single rooms share a well-sized family bathroom with a modern shower.
The main indoor area comprises the kitchen, with a gas hob and microwave (and stocked with more than the basics you’ll need for self-catering so you don’t have to shop from scratch), dining table and sitting area – all warmed by a wood-burning stove for use in the low season.
We provide a Bluetooth speaker for you to connect to and Wifi throughout.
But it’s outdoors where you’re likely to spend most of your time. The 12m pool is the main attraction – with its secluded terrace, sun loungers and plenty of shade from a big umbrella. On an adjoining terrace is a built-in barbecue and shaded dining area, conveniently situated outside the kitchen.
There’s another outdoor dining area at the front of the house, beneath the traditional arched roof. On a very clear day you can see all the way to Mallorca if you look towards the west from the roof terrace!
It is all surrounded by mature gardens (and a secret terrace at the top of the garden shaded by pine trees – shh!) An ample driveway has more than enough room for two hire cars.
Other amenities include a washing machine, a dedicated outdoor clothes drying area and an outdoor shower, as well as hairdryers in each bathroom. People tend to leave unused washing powder and shampoo out so, again, you don’t have to shop from scratch.
It takes less than ten minutes to walk to Binibeca beach, a sandy, safe and sheltered spot, ideal for enjoying the sea. Other local amenities include Bar Paupa at the slipway, where there is also a scuba diving school and kayak hire. The restaurants of Cala Torret are a few minutes further on by foot, and there are two small supermarkets within walking distance.
We’ll provide information on our favourite spots on the island (we’ve been lucky enough to have been coming here for over 50 years) and we can also help with car hire recommendation, as well as bicycle hire for the sporty types.
