Come and escape to this property that all who visit describe as "a special place". This 3-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath home allows you to stay amongst the natural beauty that makes WNC great, yet be close enough to the city of Asheville to enjoy all that it offers. Named for the three water sources that frame the property, Three Waters offers an atmosphere meant for relaxing and connecting. Step off the porch that sits on a bluff over Sandymush Creek and walk down to the family swing to while away the afternoon with a picnic or maybe do some fishing in the creek while keeping an eye out for river otters, blue herons, or the deer, turkey, and playful groundhogs that call the property home as well.

The Home

Master Bedroom: King Bed with en suite full bathroom with shower | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed and Twin Bed | Bedroom 3: Twin over Full bunk bed

This home built in the mid-90s was modeled after the early farmhouses of the Appalachia with a ground floor that connects the kitchen, living room and large dining room around a central column. The dining room was designed to host, featuring an old farm-style table that seats 10, window bench seating, and direct access to the wrapped porch and deck. Enjoy a 55-in TV and DirectTV access in the living room, with fiber optic internet that allows you to stream movies/shows. The kitchen has plenty of gear to cook to your hearts delight, including a gas stove and oven, mixers, blenders, cookware, toaster, and microwave to name a few items. Laundry of a full size washer and dryer are downstairs and available to use.

Upstairs you will find the three bedrooms and two of the baths, the half bath is on the ground level, the master bath is connected to the Master Bedroom; the hall bathroom has a shower/tub combo.

After a day exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway (30min) or just hanging out in downtown Marshall (12min) or Asheville (25 min) know that you will be coming back to your home away from home and a luxurious bed in which to fall asleep.

The Spot

Sometimes you want some activity to balance out your peaceful relaxation. If so, you have come to the right place. Asheville is home to a diverse restaurant scene, breweries, arts districts, and fun that the whole family can enjoy.

Do not miss the famed Biltmore Estate or the Blue Ridge Parkway while you are in town. Hike a mountain or raft/paddleboard/tube down the French Broad River. Check out one of many local breweries in town while listening to some music, all are great ways to explore the bounty of the NC mountains.

Our home is located in the Sandy Mush Creek valley, a tributary of the French Broad River just a few miles away. The property also has two small creeks which flow into Sandy Mush and give our property its name, Three Waters.

Peaceful surroundings
The location and scenery was fantastic! Perfect for having the family together. Well stocked with kitchen needs and linens. Unfortunately the listing showed a hot tub and a jacuzzi tub. There was no hot tub and the jacuzzi tub did not work. Also some issues with the hand held shower in the master not working. The decking needs some work as there was some rotting spots. None of these things stopped us from enjoying the home and property. The appliances were top notch and the host was very responsive.

Quiet Getaway
We really enjoyed this house surrounded by nature. The owners even provided binoculars for viewing wildlife. The house was cozy, the beds comfortable, the kitchen well equipped. The only disappointment was that the Jacuzzi doesn't work. Check with hosts before you book if that is important to you. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely Gorgeous!!
Host was very responsive and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We enjoyed having morning coffee on the porch listening to the sound of the babbling brook. We were very disappointed to find there was no hot tub as described in the Amenities section. (We went over budget to have a hot tub.) There is a Jacuzzi type bathtub but it didn’t work. Overall - great place, great trip!

The BEST Stay!
I had the best stay at Edward's house! He was the best host! Super communicative. The check in process was smooth and he provide us with a lot of recommendations on what to do. The house was squeaky clean! The house itself was gorgeous and the surroundings too. My husband and I had a great time. It was a quiet neighborhood which was exactly what we were looking for! If you're ever in the Marshall/ Asheville area this is your place to stay! Will definitely stay here again! Thanks for everything Edward!

Gorgeous Property
This property is abslutely stunning, beautiful, peaceful and serene. The owners were very easy to communicate with. HIghly recommend staying here if you are going to Marshall. Definitely follow the written directions to pull into the house. Our family loved sitting on the large porch and watching our grandfather fish, we ran and did cartwheels in the beautiful large lawn and loved it!

Biltmore Weekend
Our family spent the weekend at your home for a trip to see the Biltmore Estate. The house was great for our family. The kitchen had what we needed to make breakfast and yummy cookies. The beds were very comfortable and the living room couches with the reclining seats were awesome. The early morning view from the window seat was amazing. We saw deer and a heron. Thank you so much for opening up your home to us.

Fantastic property! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The house was great and spacious, but the outdoors was amazing! Our kids had a blast playing in the creek while the dads fished. We grilled and hung out on the huge deck. Watching the turkeys from the rocking chairs on the porch while drinking coffee was something we’ll never forget! We will definitely be back!!! ❤️

Great family stay
We just finished our second stay at this home. We like to come up every fall to enjoy the leaves. Home is on beautiful property and is almost surrounded by a creek. Our kids enjoy running around outside. Home is adequately furnished and kitchen has lots of utensils. About 25 minute drive into town. We saw deer and turkeys on the property!

fabulous for families
We had an awesome 5 day stay here. The house and yard were immaculate, the beds were comfortable. We brought our 3 and 6 year old daughters. The house is very kid friendly and the fireflies every night were a real treat. It was also really fun for us to see all the farms during our travels to Asheville and other places in the area.

Amazing Month in a Beautiful Home
This was an amazing find and a lovely property. My family and I stayed here for a month to work remotely and also experience the smoky mountains in downtown Asheville. The location was less than 30 minutes of downtown Asheville and very close to many national parks and hikes in the area which made it extremely nice for our family. The property is large and has a very nice river brining a sublime Aesthetic to our views from the porch and bedrooms. The home itself has plenty of space and we had no problem making ourselves at home. There is no closet to use however I will note. We took many trips downtown and around the area and they were all easily within driving distance. And at night the fire flies or lightning bugs lit up the river which was a highlight for my son. The Internet and cell service at this location was adequate and we were able to work remotely including streaming videos and taking phone calls for the month we were there, But we couldn’t stream multiple things at the same time so just plan ahead that you might have to disconnect from the Internet while staying at this lovely location. We would love to return and would highly recommend this location the host for wonderful and the experience was excellent.

Quiet comfort
The house is clean, comfortable, and sports a nice view of the creek below. The quality of the water from the taps was really good. The kitchen is well appointed, and the cookware was of good quality, which was a VERY pleasant surprise. The weather prevented us from really exploring the property, but the swing by the creek looked like a nice place to enjoy a lazy evening. Overall, a very nice place to get away.

Incredible property
Absolutely gorgeous property and home. Everything is as described down to the comfort of the beds. My daughter and I trekked down the river on the property for hours, so beautiful. The location is close enough to hit up tons of beautiful sites. Everything we wanted to see was generally within a hours' drive. We took a tour down the French Broad which was our favorite part and only about 20 minutes from the property. We will definitely be coming back- so great!!

Amazing house surrounded by a beautiful river
We were fortunate to book our stay over Christmas and it snowed 6" on Christmas Eve. We woke to a beautiful winter wonderland surrounded by a flowing river. The house was so clean and well stocked. The property owner was very responsive to our questions and super nice. The rooms were big and the house was laid out well. There was a great view out of every window. Highly recommend this property. You won't be disappointed.

Fabulous and peaceful
We thoroughly enjoyed this peaceful retreat! Our kids saw wild deer and wild turkey, we picniced by the creek, and flew a kite in the huge green side field! It was beautiful and relaxing! Perfect setup for our family with 2 toddlers! We will book again when its warmed! Loved it!

My Wife and are were raised in Western North Carolina and absolutely love the Blue Ridge Mountains and the fresh air! We have moved away with our 4 children to live in Puerto Rico and have been loving that adventure for the past 5 years. During the summers we travel back to our old home to visit family still there and explore our favorite places.

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood for the peace and serenity it brings. Having Sandy Mush Creek in the backyard to fish, put in a float, or just listen to the water passing by.

What makes this property unique

This property has lots of land to walk around without ever having to run into people. Use the binoculars to spot the deer, turkey, birds that roam the land.
