Warm and Wonderful Cabin!
The cabin is perfectly situated between Kirkwood and Heavenly Ski Resorts (20 minutes each way) Our group really enjoyed the cabin and especially the gourmet kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised to find plenty of plates, glasses and utensils for 14. The kids had a blast downstairs playing billiards and we adults enjoyed the peace and quiet of the upstairs! The beds were wonderfully comfortable and linens were soft and plush. We would highly recommend this cabin!

Summer Cabin
My family and friends have been booking this cabin for four years now and we always find the most memorable times. The river front cabin has all the necessities, the best location along the picturesque West Fork Carson River, and the most helpful and responsive hosts. The details and care of the property is proof that the owners intend to offer you the best experience. Thank you Samantha and Curt for all your assistance yet again. Looking forward to next year!!!

Mountain getaway
Great home in the mountains for a large group. This home is well equipped for all ages. We were attending a wedding nearby and had everything we needed to get ready and enjoy family dropping by to say hello. Parking is tight but the walk from the highway is short. The river behind the house is beautiful although very cold. After our family wedding we had a short drive to the beautiful sandy beaches of South Lake Tahoe. I definitely recommend.

Wonderfully relaxing stay in super updated, pristine home
Our two families enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing stay in this beautiful home nestled in the hillside above a lake. The sound of rushing water was soothing and tranquil when the windows are open. The kitchen was spacious, spotless, and updated with every amenity: 2 ovens, powerful stove, lots of counter and pantry space, and plenty of dishes, utensils, serving platters, bakeware, and pots and pans. We shared some delicious meals at the long dining table that opens into the living room. Our children enjoyed movies from their incredible movie library from the comfort of the luxurious sofas and chairs. And the bedrooms were all roomy with super comfortable mattresses, fresh linens, plush towels, and cozy decor. We were thrilled to spend a weekend here and would love the opportunity to return again!

Wonderful home for Celebration of Life
This was the perfect house for my family of 9 for a Celebration of Life for my husband. The house was immaculate and had plenty of room to spread out. However, when I arrived at the house there was about six inches of snow blocking the entrance without a snow shovel in sight. I'm 70 years old and it was not an easy fete to get close to the door to unload my car. I'm glad I arrived the day before my family as it took me all day to make it safe for everyone arriving. Watch out for the rock step...it was an ice skating rink! My only other negative is that, although the oven/range was beautiful, it did not work properly. It took 15 minutes to cook a pancake. In addition, it appeared as if someone had attempted to clean the oven with a spray cleaner but never completed the job. When I turned the oven on, it produced a chemical smoke bomb in the kitchen. I left a note on the stove when we departed. I would love to have a do-over stay during the summer.

A little slice of heaven!
Me and my friends enjoyed an amazing Birthday weekend here and couldn't have had more fun. The house is amazing, clean, spacious, and has just about everything you need to entertain a large group of people. It's right on the Carson River so you can walk 30 paces to a great fishing hole. The trout were biting! This is the 2nd time we've stayed here and plan on coming back again!

Fantastic accomodations!
We stayed here for the 2022 California Death Ride event. It's a very easy15min to Turtle Rock Park. The house was perfect for 7 of us. Lots of room in the kitchen, living room, and patio for us to spread out after a long days ride. It was very comfortable for everyone! The patio was incredible - completely shaded. It's a short 10-15yd walk down to the stream where kids can play on the small beach (about 15' wide) or you can just dip your toes. Fun to fish in too. My biggest regret was not bringing my entire family and staying a few days longer! Would definitely stay here again!

Me and my kids and grandkids stayed at the cabin, it was absolute fantastic, it was on the river were my wife loved to fish. We celebrated her passing at her favorite spot. The pictures don't do the cabin justice it so much better and bigger in person. Will stay here again. Thank you to Sam she made the process very easy. Best regards, Jimmi Jensen

Perfect place to stay for our Kirkwood ski trip
We loved our winter stay in this surprisingly large cabin - the kitchen was well-equipped, plenty of table space for eating and games, and a nice fireplace to hang out by. The rooms were extremely sound-proof - we could hardly hear people downstairs from the bedroom at the top of the stairs. It's about a 20 minute drive to Kirkwood. The river also runs right behind the cabin which is very pretty.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location
This cabin (it's pretty big, so the term cabin might not apply) was awesome. It is beautiful and roomy and very well stocked. I felt like the owners really used it because it had everything you needed (plus extra tp, garbage bags, supplies like that). Curt was very responsive to our questions. We had a couple of meals at the lodge across the street. It was really good, but expensive. However, it was perfect for a night when we were all too tired to cook or to go back out since there aren't a lot of other restaurants nearby and we could walk to that one. We also did a couple of hikes on that resort property. We swam in the water right by the house and walked probably a half mile down the river to swim in a deeper swimming hole. It was a really nice house just to hang out in. If we had stayed longer or hadn't had wedding activities, we would have gone to Kirkwood to hike and done the potholes and also done more in Markleeville. We did go to Lake Tahoe several times. We would definitely rent this place again.

The property was spotless and fully stocked and the fireplace kicks out some really good heat. This place is perfect for a family getaway and it was a treat to be able to bring our dog along. The beds were comfortable all around. There are also really cute decorative touches throughout. 10/10 would rent again!

Perfect place for a getaway!
This place is truly great. It had plenty of space and the location is even better than we imagined. We had two families each with two children in our group so the two rooms with the bunk beds could not have been more perfect. The rooms are a really good size so even with the queen beds and good sized bunk beds, still didn't feel cramped. I have rented a lot of cabins in my time and I have to say that this was by far the best stocked rental I have stayed at to date. Literally everything you need. And to leave the best for last, the river is right behind the cabin! Just a few steps away. And to top it off, the area at the bottom had the most perfect shallow and calm area for the kids to enjoy the river everyday we were there. We even caught a fish right behind there! The parking is tight so if you have more than three cars, that could be an issue. We only had three so we were ok but wanted to just share that. I don't have enough space to write all the remaining things I could say. I will close with... I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be looking to stay here in the future if it remains available for renting.

A beautiful home in a beautiful place
We loved staying here and will do so again! My wife and I brought our 2 teens and 8 of their friends and had a great time. The "Mancave" downstairs was a lot of fun for them...and allowed them to be loud without disturbing those of us trying to sleep upstairs! One thing to note is that the cabin is a 15-20 minute drive to the nearest grocery store so plan accordingly!

Fishing in the lap of luxury
We had a wonderful stay at this spot. It is mearly a few feet away from the Carson River which trout anglers will love. We pulled out quite a few and witnesses others pulling quite a few more. The house was in fantastic shape with all sorts of amenities to keep us busy when we weren't out fishing or touring around. The mancave was also fun to lounge around in and play a bit of pool. Overall, i highly recommend staying here.
