I like to provide honest reviews including both pros and cons. We own rental properties too, and I always want to know what people really think. So, 5/5 but always room for improvement :)
We stayed here while our daughter had a surgery at Northside hospital. It was not far away from the hospital, grocery stores, etc. we were back and forth a lot. The hurricane knocked out power for two nights and the owners, which are right next door in the attached main house, brought candles, flashlights and dry ice. They had two dogs that were friendly, not too much barking, unless they were gone and other workers were on the property.
The house itself is a gem, but it is old. It does have a musty smell that some may not care for. We got used to it, but important to note for people with allergies/respiratory issues. The temperature needed to stay constant at 73 degrees, but we were never uncomfortable. The property is gorgeous with big tall trees and seclusion from the road.
There were some kitchen items that I needed, but I made it work anyway. A mixer, cookie sheets, and older pots and pans that didn’t have the proper sized lids. There were plenty of spices, oils and commonly used products that were definitely a bonus! There was laundry detergent too! Everything was clean and tidy. The furniture in the living room was antique and worn, but plenty of blankets and pillows to get cozy.
The owners were responsive, helpful and sweet! We really enjoyed our stay! I hope this helps!
