About this property

Come enjoy the heart of the Central Coast. This newly constructed room is in a relaxing country setting but only a stroll away to the quaint village of Arroyo Grande. While in the Village enjoy wine tasting, window shopping or a delicious meal. Arroyo Grande is located minutes from wineries, beaches, downtown SLO, Cal Poly, hiking and so much more.

The Ranchita has its own separate entrance for your privacy and sleeps two. Comfortable queen bed with lovely bedding. The room is well lit with a cozy chair to sit back and relax in. Private bath with large shower and full length mirror. Office space with desk and leather chair. Parking and outdoor space under the olive tree to enjoy the view. There are no stairs to gain access to the room.

Amenities include High Speed internet, Wifi and large Smart TV. In-room coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. Hair dryer. Coffee and water and candy provided. Iron and ironing board if requested.

Guest Interaction - We live in the main house on the property with our kids and our two dogs. We would love to meet you, but we are happy to be as interactive as you wish. We are around for any help or recommendations you might need.

Guest access - The room has a key less entry to give you easy access and more freedom on your arrival. A code for your stay will be provided prior to your stay. Parking is directly out front of the room.

This location is best for a couple or an individual. Non mobile children ok too. Please let us know in advance if you’ll need a portable crib.

There is NO SMOKING of any kind and NO pets allowed.

Wonderful suite that was exactly what we needed!

This family home is nestled up on a hill within walking distance to the village of Arroyo Grande. The suite was very clean, modern and very comfortable. The just family went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. Their two dogs were our greeters during our stay and we enjoyed seeing them. We have already decided to Stay there again next Summer!

Restful Rachita

We enjoyed the peaceful location of the Ranchita up on a hill with a beautiful view, but a close enough drive to the hustle bustle of a city.The room was immaculate. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions that we had. Highly recommended.

Paradise on a hill

This is the ideal location for touring around the central coast -- and especially for wine tasting at the excellent nearby vineyards. The room is so cozy and the bed is beyond comfortable, making it difficult to get up and face the day. Riley & Bowie are the best greeting committee, and gladly accept treats! The the goats next door are so cute too. Paula & Brendan are the best hosts who make everyone feel welome!!!

Tucked away solitude

Coastal experience

We were visiting our grandson & also wanted a place close to the local beaches and your place fit the bill. We enjoyed the views from the top of the hill.

Great place to relax!

Be sure to get to this property before dark. GPS did not give us correct directions and would be very hard to locate in the dark. Enjoy!

Thanksgiving getaway

It was a lovely visit at the Ranchita....clean, comfortable, peaceful and in a great location close to the beaches, downtown and all places of interest. Paula was a wonderful host and got back to us right away on any questions/ concerns we had and made wonderful suggestions about places to see and restaurants to dine at. We had a lovely stay here!

Gem of Arroyo Grande

I couldn't have been happier with the accomodations. It was the perfect location to walk in to town to shop and eat. The area is beautiful and super quiet. Traveling alone, I felt completely safe, the parking space is right outside the door and my new 4-legged friends were there to greet me coming and going❤️. I had everything I could possibly need with all the personal touches and amenities. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful space for me to enjoy my time in AG!

Beautiful clean gem

Such a comfy place to lay your head. Paula was GREAT at communicating. We loved that it was clean. The pillows in our opinion were the best. Loved the sound of the humming birds and chickens in the morning. And a short drive to the pier/beach. The cool mornings were nice. Wish we had an additional fan for warm evenings in and a rack/hangers to hang our clothes. But we would definitely stay here again. Loved it. Thank you so much!

Keurige kamer met aandacht voor detail.

Quiet and comfy

Exceptional; all the comforts of home!

When we first stumbled upon this home in Arroyo Grande, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. The home is immaculate and has everything you need for your stay. Paula is the most thoughtful, and gracious host. She simply thought of everything you need for morning coffee and a comfortable stay. The bed is comfortable, bathroom and outside terrace are excellent. Location is incredible and very close to Village of Arroyo Grande. We frequent Arroyo Grande, so we look forward to our next stay. Stop searching VRBO for places to stay in AG; this place is it!

Hello! I'm Paula and I live at the property with my husband and two daughters. I am a native from the Central Coast and love the area with all my heart. I moved out of the area for several years, but found my way back in 2007 and couldn't be happier.

Why they chose this property

We bought the property in 2014 and took the main house down to the sticks. We added about 1000 square feet and the garage which includes the Ranchita. We finished the remodel in 2017 and have been enjoying it ever since.

What makes this property unique

The number one reason we bought this property and fixed up the house was the VIEW!!!
We absolutely cherish it and spend countless hours outside to take advantage of it!
The second reason was it's proximity to the Village of AG. While it has that out in the country feel we enjoy our neighbors and that it is walking distance to the Village and all its perks.
