About this property

Our house is beachfront in Carlsbad village with beautiful views of the waves from the large balcony on the top floor. Spacious open style living area with modern kitchen, dining room, family room, and 2 large Master bedrooms with bathrooms. A third "add-on" bedroom is accessed through the upstairs Master bedroom with its own doors for privacy and its own windows for natural light. Two super comfy King size beds and one trundle bed with two twin mattresses. Plus a Queen sleeper sofa. Work area (desk and chair) in large Master bedroom with lots of natural light. 5-burner BBQ in our private backyard. The house is only a few minutes walk (a few blocks) to the adorable Carlsbad Village. We have 4 adult bikes, 1 child size bike, plus boogie boards, chairs, umbrella, and toys - everything you need for a fun day at the beach. We have a 2-car garage (doesn’t fit Suburbans, but we have space in the driveway for a large car). Bathrooms are showers (no tubs) and are a bit older but function perfectly. Fully stocked with towels and bath products. Kitchen is clean and fully stocked with all kitchen necessities provided for your cooking ease. Three 55-inch smart flat screen TVs. The private backyard is fully enclosed for extra space to relax, cook on the BBQ, or let kids run around safely. Private front door and garage door entrances ensure social distancing safety. The view of the ocean is priceless! Our house is a great choice for your next vacation and we look forward to hosting you!

Family beach vacation

This was a lovely property with plenty of space for our whole family. Perfect walking distance to the beach as well as some restaurants. We’d love to stay here again!

Good Beach Stay Needing a Little Love

This VRBO was in a good location (good sunsets and short walk to downtown Carlsbad) with comfy beds / blankets and good amenities (kitchen supplies). Communication with the property manager was very good as well. Our group was disappointed in the condition of the home which needs some reno (stained carpets, stained couch, outdated bathroom, mirrored living room walls, offset knobs on the stove, dirty baseboards, etc). Might be good for a group of surfers but we wouldn't return to this location since it's outdated.

Fantastic location

We loved our stay here. Wish we could have stayed longer. The house is located in a PERFECT location. We went to Legoland day 1 and Sea World day 2. We walked across the street and took walks on the gorgeous beach too. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Small birthday party wonderland

This property had a wonderful setup for a private birthday party. We celebrated a milestone birthday for my wife and this was the perfect location. The view from the balcony and sounds of the ocean late and night / early in the morning was phenomenal. The community was quiet and calm, even traffic was quiet. The rooms were spacious, the third bonus room is a room within the uppermost bedroom. There was just an abundance of space, we were overwhelmingly pleased. Thank you.

Great getaway to the beach

This place has pretty much everything you need and more! First of all, communication with the host was quick and easy. The place was clean, well maintained, well stocked and nicely decorated. Great book and game selection too. Great location right across from the beach and so many beach supplies. I would book this place again in a heartbeat. The only thing I would mention is that the “add-on” is more like a sun room off of one of the bedrooms. It worked for us bc we just put all the kids in there, but may not be the best option if you need 3 actual separate bedrooms.

Spring Break Holiday

We very much enjoyed our stay, being right across the street from the beach was very nice. My son was thrilled there was a boogie board and a wetsuit to use. Close to walk downtown to shops and restaurants. The only hiccup was the listing says 3 bedrooms, which technically it is but the 3rd bedroom is not a separate room like you would expect. The hosts responded quickly to my inquiries. Overall, my family and I will stay here again. We loved our trip!!

Best beach house

This was the best beach house with the most awesome kindest owners ever!! We are Carlsbad locals for over 25 years. We needed a house closer to the beach for our daughter’s 13th birthday celebration we couldn’t have asked for a better house!! We will definitely rent this house again!!

Location, Location, Location!

Beautiful views, Carlsbad Village is just a short walk away with many great restaurants, shops and a fun farmers market. House was very clean. Included a nice grill for fresh fish and everything you need for the beach - Had a great time.

Great Getaway location

My husband and I wanted to find a place to stay in CA with a view and away from the crowds. I'd say we hit the jackpot. Carlsbad is a great little town that is centralized to any major tourist destination north or south. The house was perfect for our needs and Mike was a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

Yes, It's the Ultimate Beach House

Our group of six friends enjoyed a wonderful 5 days at the beach house. We started our days watching the morning beachfront walkers and topped them off watching the sun set over the ocean. The home is immaculate and well-equipped. Everything we needed was where one would expect to find it, which was not only convenient but also made us feel welcomed. We appreciated that the beds were all comfortable and the linens clean and fresh. The double main suite layout worked well for our group. The location was great for us. Tamarack Beach is right across the street where we could walk along the boardwalk or on wide packed sand when the tide was going out. Carlsbad Village is a short walk. We also ventured about 30 minutes south to the Torrey Pines area to visit the Salk Institute and hike the Torrey Pines Reserve. There’s plenty to do right at the beach and in Carlsbad, but should you want to venture further afield, the location makes that easy too.

Weekend getaway

The property was exactly as described. Clean with all necessities available. Bedrooms were large and comfortable which made for a good night's rest. Considering the property is on a major blvd, it's very quiet at night. Enjoyed sitting on the deck viewing the ocean especially during sunrise and sunset. Dealing with the property owner re arrangements was extremely easy and he made the process easy. I would definitely stay here again!

Simply Amazing

The property is immaculate and the view from the balcony is refreshing and beautiful. We felt right at home with all the amenities and nice touches (bottle of wine, candy dish) in the house. The house is in a quiet area (with friendly neighbors) and being able to walk to Carlsbad village to enjoy the variety of stores and restaurants was more than convenient. I would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely perfect beach house

We stayed for a 4 day trip to celebrate my 17 year old son’s birthday and his Spring Break. The house is perfectly located across the street from the sand and is stocked with every possible beach toy you could want from surf boards to boogie boards to bikes. My son and his friends had a blast and my son’s exact words were this was the best birthday gift he could imagine. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

This property had every possible beach toy you can think of - boogie boards, surfboards, sand toys - along with extras such as multiple bikes, hats, beach towels, etc. Can't emphasize enough on the location - right by the crosswalk for the beach and a short walk to the an extremely charming village. Responsive hosts, comfortable beds, big tv couch ,convenient bbq and yard out back, a deck full of seating for an outstanding view of the ocean and sunset are to be mentioned as well! Sad to leave!
