Group ski trip, everything we needed to cook great meals. Lots of room to spread out. Easy access to the both Cottonwood Canyons. Would stay here again.
We were skiing in Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons, and this served as a great home base. We didn’t end up taking the bus, but it was only a 10 min walk from the house, so it was great to have that option. Ping-pong table was fun, and the view from the dining room area was really nice. Also great to have a ski stuff room by the garage, as well as laundry.
Great location, able to get into the mountains to ski really easily! Huge kitchen which worked well with our group! Beautiful view of the valley and Mountains! I wore earplugs to block out the road noise at night. The place was nicely clean when we arrived! Great stay!!
The house was conveniently located to the ski resorts and was easy to get to. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. Views of the mountains, both east and west, were nice. Would stay again.
Check in was easy. The view is nice -right above altaview hospital you've got a great view of the valley. Parking was nice with a big driveway and garage and street parking in front of the house. Plenty of kitchen stuff and even some spices. The beds were comfortable with nice bedding. TV's were modern with app access. Bathrooms aren't perfect but adequate and were clean. Overall a nice stay and the add is very accurate-lots of beds and bedrooms and a nice open kitchen with huge table and large island for big meals and prep.
Comfortable, clean. No issues. Would come again.
Emailed asking for checkout instructions. Didn’t hear back until after we checked out, but no checkout tasks were required.

Worrying Start
Arrived at the property and all of the beds were unmade and there was a pile of laundry (towels and sheets) in the laundry room. Owner said they were in hospital and sent a worker to make beds and we left the property. 3 hours later we heard back from the owner and the property was ready. Property had little toilet paper we requested a resupply and received a code to the owner's closet.
Property was fine, could use a good scrubbing as it felt a bit dingy (being a little harsh here). Having to request anything from the owner, while they were responsive, is a bit of an issue for me.
Other people have reported nose problems from the road. First night, I could have sworn the windows in the master bedroom were open, but they weren't, there's a bit of nose. 3 bedrooms in the house that face the noisy road. We were able to sleep through it, but the rain and snow making the streets wet while we stayed made the noise worse.
When we arrived, there were several windows that were open, would recommend to the owner that they go through the property after each occupant and shut the doors and windows. They should be shut when we left, as on day 1 I wanted to be sure the property was secure. Heat in the house was off when we arrived (it was snowing in March) so I had to turn it on. Genuinely felt like they weren't ready for us.
I hope that these issues were just due to the property owner being unable to get to the property for health reasons and not their normal standard.
Excellent location for big and little cottonwood canyons. Many nice restaurants and ski rentals nearby. The house had a great layout, beautiful view of the valley and mountain range, kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of linens. We would stay here again
We had a great time exploring what Utah had to offer. We were hardly in the house. We stayed at the house for 4 nights. The unfortunate part was that the back door for the garage was completely open on 2 separate occasions for 2 days we didn’t know if someone had broken in to the property or the door wasn’t working properly. We butted up the ping pong table to the back door just in case for the rest of our stay (which was one day) The manager offered us money to stay at a hotel that night that we found the door open. We just wished he would of offered to come check the door the following morning. Also there is quite a bit of street noise.
We were in town for a wedding and decided to have a few of us in one place instead of in hotel rooms. The location was convenient and the place was great for us. We had 8 adults, 5 kids, and 1 infant and had no issue housing is all. The home was well equipped with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. The place was sparkling clean and the kitchen was very accommodating of our large group.
A couple issues for us worth noting, but not big enough issues to not leave a 5 star review. There is quite a bit of road noise, but after the first night we were used to it. The other issue is the creaking floors. The home is older and so walking around creates a bit of noise through out the house, it didn’t cause us too much of an issue, but we did have to be strategic about where our infant slept and when.
Another item for folks to consider are the number of stairs, there are essentially 5 distinct levels (not full levels each, but many split levels). Not an issue for our group, but could be a challenge for some.
All in all, a really great place to stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to others or to stay here again myself.

The good and the bad...
Negative - We could not get into the house upon arrival due to the lower lock of the front door being locked.
There were no pillow cases for any of the pillows in the closets.
Traffic on the back side of the house was really loud.
Bath middle level did not drain well.
Hard to find in the dark
Dishwasher falling apart
Positive - close proximity to main road to get us where we needed to go.
Clean
We had ample space for 4 adults and could have fit more easily. The house is located in a Central area where you can be in Alta, Brighton, or Park City within 45 mins. We will definitely look to rebook for next year!
Porter, thank you so much for your hospitality. We had a lovely stay in your home with our three adult children and their spouses. The house was clean, spacious, and conveniently located to grocery stores and area ski resorts. We enjoyed the open kitchen and dining area. Also liked the large living room on the entry level.
The basic kitchen supplies and bathroom toiletries were appreciated. We needed a larger coffee maker than the provided keurig, so we purchased a 12-cup Mr. Coffee and left it at the house for future guests to enjoy.
The car noise from the highway was very noticeable. I used my phone to play ocean and rain noise to drown it out, and that helped.
Overall, great stay. Made great memories with our family. Thank you.
