Nice Place!

We overall enjoyed our stay at the Distiller's Den during our spring break trip! It was our first time in Gatlinburg, and this house up in the hills made it much more memorable than staying at the hotels/condos on the main road. We were lucky to see a bear literally minutes after we got there! We were able to safely view him from the balcony and get some great pictures! The view is wonderful. The balconies face west so the sunsets were gorgeous over the mountains.A few things to be aware of and things that could improve:-The surrounding roads and driveway are very steep, so be prepared for that, and make sure you put your parking brake on!-A "starter kit" of bathroom and kitchen soaps are available, but you'll need to buy more if staying awhile-Only one trash bag was available and two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom. It was enough for our stay but be aware if you're staying longer-Basic cooking and eating supplies in the kitchen were nice. No spices or ingredients are provided-Satellite tv is provided-The towels seemed older (not very soft) and could be refreshed-The sinks were high in the bathrooms and it would have been nice to have a step stool available for our smaller childWhile we were there, the microwave stopped working. I sent a maintenance request through the app, and they contacted me right away. A person came out while we were gone and gave a temporary microwave to use. We appreciated the quick response and help! :)

High over Gatlinburg

We were surprised we were up so high but had great views of the valley and mountains around. The Den was roomy enough for us and was pretty well equipped in the kitchen. The walk in showers needs some attention to mold build up on the floor & lower walls.A great upper deck and enjoyed a couple meals out there and game time!People will enjoy this!

Do Not Rent this Cabin

We were not pleased with this cabin. We were charged (without being contacted) a large amount for a damaged hot tub cover that was completely fine and secure when we checked out. The management would not hear our side of the story or even acknowledge that we left during a high wind advisory and tornado warnings. The beds slept awful. Only a few towels for a 4 day stay. It was super hot in the cabin when we arrived and took a while to cool down. The hot tub was cold when we arrived so we lost a whole day of using it since we had to wait for it to get hot. A bear’s den was literally 150 feet from the cabin. Very displeased with the management of this cabin and customer service.

Has potential

First off if you know a couple is staying for a week there should be more than one towel per person left.. also we got eaten up by something while staying there (possibly bed bugs). There was nothing in the kitchen most places have complementary coffee at the very least but no we didn’t even have salt and pepper. As much as we paid we sure expected a lot more. There was a momma bear and her 2 cubs that was interesting until they ripped my door handle off my car (no fault of the cabin). There was no soap to wash the dishes no dishwasher pods to do that literally nothing to help make the stay enjoyable. After a 9 hr drive having to go to Walmart to buy the necessities was not pleasurable. Again this place has the potential it was beautiful view. The place needs a deep clean to rid of the bugs and some TLC. It definitely showing when the renter actually care for the place or not and this one didn’t unfortunately. I could go on and on about the issues but I think that’s enough for now but the bed bugs need to be checked out because that was unacceptable.

Amazing Place just as pictured

The cabin is perfect for a couple's retreat small family pair of couples or what have you, absolutely love the view great little quiet area. The only thing I will say the pictures are deceiving when it comes to the driveway. Now with that being said yes be prepared for a steep incline other than that amazing place.

Way Up

We enjoyed our stay. We came back from downtown and couldn't drive up the driveway there was a big mommabear walking around the cabin, which we waited for a little while. She just visited all the cabins. One fault was the lack of closets and luggage holders. Also it use a bathroom on the main floor. It was nice to walk in and seea Christmas tree up. Could use alittle bigger parking areahard to turn around. Good view! The 321 location was wonderful.

Great Location- Nice Hot Tub

The location of this cabin is excellent. Easy to get to everything we wanted to do in Gatlinburg but tucked away enough to feel woodsy. You are close to other cabins, but there is a great view from the balcony. The hot tub is a great place to relax after a day of hiking in GSMNP. My kids loved the foosball table and gaming systems. The fireplace kept us nice and cozy. The heating system is a bit tricky, so when the fireplace is on, it gets cold downstairs. And the curtains in the master bedroom are very thin, so it gets bright in the morning. And the driveway was extremely steep - so much so that we did not feel comfortable driving all the way up. This made unloading the car quite the workout. It was very clean though and we would totally stay here again.

Lack of "the little extras"

This place was very nice and clean but Most vrbo's that I have stayed in supply the little extras like coffee, salt and pepper, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, paper towel,. They only supplied one towel, wash cloth and hand towel per occupant. We stayed for 10 days and had to wash the towels often, especially when we used the hot tub. They only supplied two dishwasher pods and two laundry pods. Because we stayed for 10 days we had to buy more toilet paper towel. Other extras that would be nice are left over containers and maybe tin foil andpackets of condiments. laundry pods.

Sister’s Trip

My sister and I stayed at The Distiller’s Den for about a week just to get away and enjoy the quiet. We had a great time. We loved the cabin! It was clean and the decor was really nice. It was also comfortable. The check-in / out process was easy and we had no problems during our stay. We saw a bear and three cubs right outside our cabin the first morning we were there. The driveway and road getting to the cabin are rather steep, so just be aware. Parking wasn’t too difficult, but it was a challenge at first because we weren’t used to it. We would definitely stay here again. It was close to down and very quiet.

Lovely

Great cabin - floors felt clean (appreciated this since sticky floors have been a pet peeve with past cabins), provided amenities were much appreciated. Power went out second to last day, but thank goodness it was for less than 3 hrs! Got to experience the visitation of bears and a few cubs! The only recommendation I would give is to provide new mattresses and pillows as well as to deep clean the washer (we utilized it and noticed mold) To future guests, please take care of this cabin as if it were your home... we found gum stuck to the headboard in the master bedroom, very disrespectful to owner(s) and future guests. Would definitely come back for another stay!

Great Relaxation

We came down for much needed rest. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We saw a bear from the upper deck and 4 more while driving to town. Gatlinburg is a very short car drive and the Park's entrance is not far at all. Only suggestion we would give is to provide more blankets. Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home.
