Beautiful home built on a manmade bayou. Fish from the dock or bring your boat! Relax on the back porch, take in the local sights in quaint Old Town Bay St Louis and shop while you are there for unique local art, go to the beaches just minutes away, try your luck at a local casino, take the ferry to Ship Island for the day, or travel to New Orleans only 56 minutes away (58 miles). Newer, modern, elevated home with all the amenities! Cook your meals in our full kitchen or dine on wonderful local cuisine minutes away. This is the bayou and a wildlife preserve so birds and squirrels are in abundance, and even alligators may be in the bayou for a show! But please be cautious of them and do NOT FEED them, we do not want them coming out of the bank!

Place was just as the pictures nice and clean very homey only problem toilets flushed just took a few tries but went down loved the fact we could just walk in the back and fish was great my husband loved it. We didn't catch alot of fish maybe we were fishing with the wrong bait but it was nice and peaceful even though it was very windy. Overall we would love to come back. a lot of fish but maybe wewalkin in the back and fish
The home needs some TLC and upkeep but over all we enjoyed our stay. There was ample supplies to get started on before getting to the store. We fished in the canal and I especially enjoyed catching a 4 lb cat and hubby caught 3 catfish. Sitting on the patio was so relaxing and a break from the cold at home. Neighborhood was great and very friendly as we would take daily walks around it. Close to Walmart, casinos and short drive to beach. Need to check out Ground Zero museum, Alice Moseley Folk Art Museum, NASA Infinity and take the Cajun Encounters swamp tour. (So much fun) Museum. Furnishings were comfortable and I really was impressed with all the beach nik naks in the house. Really enjoyed the ROKU smart TVs because they are what we have at home and easy to operate. Air conditioner was awesome as it got really warm during our stay. Washer, dryer, frig, stove, hot water heater, microwave all in good working order. Really enjoyed grilling steaks on the patio under the house and watching the super bowl, and using the fire pit was added bonus at night when it was cooler. Plenty of patio furniture upstairs and downstairs.
The inside of the house is homey, like you would have at your own second home. It was comfortable and the mattresses were great. I wish I had one at home like the one I had. The kitchen had everything we needed. The best part was the huge area below the house. There is a channel that runs extremely close to the property that has fish in it. It was strange because the channel water flow would flow one way and then the other way probably based on the tide. There were a lot of chairs, a gas fire pit, a gas grill, enough light at night and peaceful. The fee was reasonable and less expensive than other houses we rented in the area. It was quiet at night. It took a while to figure out the TV, but we did, and the Internet password in the book was different than the one Harmony gave us after we texted her. That was about the only complaints and that happens at lots of other places including hotels.

Very nice and so clean. Back doors are not secure enough and they need to be replaced. It needs to be more solid when locked. We had to prop a chair underneath the door handle after locking it for better security...

Harmony and James were excellent hosts and we sure enjoyed our time on the bayou. The house was as presented and was the best stocked house we have ever rented. Ducks visited us daily and there were many birds to watch.
The house was spotlessly clean & very comfortable. The owners provided everything that we could possibly need. We especially enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching all of the birds--the hummingbird & bird feeders were a very nice touch, bring the smaller birds very close. The owners were very warm and friendly & made us feel very welcome. We had such a relaxing visit & will definitely be staying there again when we return to Bay St Louis!
My family and I really enjoyed staying here. It's just a short drive to the beach. I loved sitting on the back porch hearing and seeing all the different birds. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever come to the area again. 🙂
My family and I enjoyed staying at the Aqua House. Everything is clean and as described in the listing. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and watching the bayou wildlife. My husband and son did a little fishing off the dock too. Homeowners Harmony and James are extremely nice and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the area. Thank you Harmony and James!!!
