Kaye’s Hideaway was conveniently nestled in the woods with a cozy fireplace and perfect floor plan for our stay. The open concept with the kitchen and living room made it easy for us to spend time with friends while we ate dinner and watched the Badger game. Plenty of space for each couple or person to sleep/rest; although there was only one shower, the two bathrooms made for enough privacy.
Loved the property and location - we had a great girls get away stay!!
Cleanliness could have been better - opening the sofa bed for use we noticed lots of crumbs - should have been opened after previous use and vacuumed out, as well as 2 pillows were stuffed on the floor under the couch.
Went to make coffee in the morning and it wasn't cleaned out. Large clump of hair on the sheets in one bedroom.
Loved the property, but the cleaning crew needs to be addressed on their cleaning process.
Also, they need blinds in the living room to close in the evening for a better feeling of security.
All in all, my comments are meant to help the owner - not to be a complainer.

This cottage in Fish Creek was a wonderful place for our families to stay for the weekend. The place was well decorated with Christmas decorations which made it feel very festive for the holidays. The wood burning fireplace with enough wood on the front porch and easy access so you could keep the fire going all day and relax in front to the fireplace. We highly recommend this place as it is close proximity to downtown Fish Creek and a few miles to all the small town around Door County. We will definitely be back to enjoy this cozy little cottage in the woods.
The house was in a wooded area. It was very peaceful. The kitchen had all the necessary accessories. We didnt realize that we had to bring our own soap and shampoo, but one of us had some spare sample size products. We also had trouble with the fireplace. No poker and even though we opened and heated the flue, smoke was still coming in. Aside from that, we had a wonderful time and were very pleased with the accommodations.
The property is very clean and cozy. The owners communicate very quickly with any questions you may have. Location was tucked away with total privacy, and in the heart of Door County. We would stay here again.
Friends and family flew in from across the country to celebrate daughters upcoming wedding. Location was great and removed enough from tourism yet close enough for food. Rental was well stocked with everything needed. Had a bit of a problem with Wi-Fi but host responded quickly.
We found this house in late spring for a 4th of July vacation and we are fortunate that we did. It worked perfectly for us, two kids under 5, Grammy and Uncle. It was quiet, clean and spacious. It's also located close to all the great spots in Door County near Fish Creek, Ephraim and Sister Bay. I'd recommend to any future renter to definitely bring your own pillows and maybe a Roku device of sorts that works better than the Smart TV. Otherwise the house has a fully stocked kitchen in terms of utensils and other prep needs.
Very cozy, clean home.
Wonderful fireplace that they supplied wood for.
More storage for clothing could be helpful in bedrooms, otherwise amazing house!
Thank you!
We were a group of colleagues from Chicago that stayed for a weekend. The house was just a perfect size, everything as described, had a nice fireplace at nice. Perfect stay!
Beautiful home and space. Enjoyed coming back after a long day of sightseeing to relax. Would definitely stay here again. Great communication with owners.
Overall we were very happy with our stay in Fish Creek. The two things I would point out primarily for other guests: 1. No washer/dryer which for a 5 day stay with children was disappointing. 2. Though there was caution stated about poor WiFi service, frankly the WiFi service was almost non-existent, i.e. no TV service or streaming whatsoever.
Pros:
1. Awesome location, seriously does not get better than this. So close to Egg Harbor and Fish creek.
2. Cute, perfect size cabin-not too big, not too small
3. Screened in porch came in handy on rainy days
4. Quiet location
Cons:
1. cleanliness lacked a bit. Could tell the beds and furniture have not been cleaned under in a very long time
2. Description stated there was a large pile of firewood to use, but it was empty upon arrival
3. It would be nice if it was mentioned in the description that there is no dishwasher
4. No real grassy yard space
This house is nice and clean and in a great location - just a few minutes away from Fish Creek means there's lots of options for families. Plus we love taking little nature walks on the property paths :)
We enjoyed this beautifully maintained cozy house in the woods. The property owner is easy to communicate with. Bedrooms are good size. Updated decor. We made many wonderful memories during our stay!
We traveled to Wisconsin for the first time with another couple to attend a friends wedding. We decided to stay in Fish Creek and were so thankful we did as it was in great location to other areas with shopping, trails and restaurants. The house was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed. The set-up was spacious and had a great outdoor area for bonfires too. We plan to come back for another stay !
Lovely well maintained property with excellent location to explore all that Door County has to offer. The screened in porch on the back of the house was so nice as was the fire pit with close proximity to the house. The decor of the house was beautiful with ample sleeping a space for 5 of us. I would for sure inquire about this rental again. The property owners were prompt in response to one question that I had and the check in and check out property was seamless. Overall a 5 star rating for the entire experience!!!!!
The property was just like what is portrayed in the pictures. Very cute and quaint. If you plan on cooking bring your own salt and pepper. The bath towels are very cheap and shed on you when your body is wet. Also plan accordingly with Uber/a driver to get from place to place while drinking. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely stay there again in the future.
Neat and pretty clean unit(except the toilet which has extensive discoloration from rust, I presume, which is removable with effort). Obviously built as a rental with no garage, no fireplace tools, no cable TV, no dressers in the bedrooms, no washer and dryer, cheap bath towels that leave a brown linty residue on your body and barely dry (????) and total lack or ornamentation that might make the place look a little "homey"' Oh, and water smells and tastes like iron so bottled water is a must. Although TV was listed as an asset you can't actually watch because there is no cable service which I think should have been noted in the listing. All in all not worth the money to put up with the inconveniences and lack of charm. Close to the road so you can enjoy the traffic noise since you can't watch or listen to TV. We left 2 days early. DO NOT RECOMMEND
This was a nice place to spend a few days on our girls trip. The place was clean and nice. Please be aware that the water smells horrible from iron so bring drinking water.
