This is an awesome & cozy cabin just minutes from the topside of Ober Mountain that is perfect for a small family to stay in! The owner was great & easy to contact. Well worth staying again!
We absolutely loved our stay ! The bears were most definitely my favorite part ❤️ Our manual Jeep Wrangler didn't really like the hills too much or the driveway, kind of scary but we made it work 😊 Definitely worth every penny and every minute spent ! Some of our best memories were made in Tennessee and I will forever be thankful❤️ Bless y'all and lots of love !
Owner is aware and already hired a new cleaning crew! This house is perfect location to visiting the area and hiking then soaking tired bodies in the hot tub!
The cabin was very clean! Beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked for our needs. We saw bears everyday. We enjoyed our time in Tennessee.
Loved the cabin! the driveway not so much, better once I got used to it (3rd day into the trip)
lots of bears around, make SURE you always lock car doors, the bears know how to open car doors as we unfortunately found out.

Just what our family needed
A great chalet in Ober just up the hillside of Gatlinburg. Perfect for our family getaway to visit each other and enjoy the Smokey Mountains, Anakeesta, Dollywood, downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon forge, and Sevierville. Hot tub and pool table were a bonus and EVERY DAY we seen a black bear....today as we left one came to the front door!
We visited with my elderly parents and my family took the downstairs while they had the upstairs. We were able to make great meals and wind down in the hot tub every night. The home was close to town but still far enough away to feel removed and same for the National park, close enough but still removed. We hiked every day and sat in the hot tub at night and made the very best of memories.
Absolutely Awesome! We seen bears every single day...multiple times! The cabin was wonderful & very well maintained! I would definitely recommend this cabin & will try to rent again in the future if available! Thanks Jamie! You & Your Cabin Rocks!!!
Was a nice peaceful week, with a bear visitor everyday. They were just strolling through never seemed to be curious or aggressive. Easy drive down to Gatlinburg and over to pigeon Forge. We enjoyed the ride Through the smokies and saw Turkey and Elk nice vacation
We enjoyed the seclusion. The road to the home is a bit intimidating at dark. But the property itself is good. We did have difficulty with the electrical and trying to figure out how to turn on lights and such but we made due. We would highly recommend!

Good effort
The owner was kind and responsive. The location was great, just above the Gatlinburg's main walkway. We had great view and privacy off the back. The hot tub was super relaxing.
The place was generally clean but had a stale smell. We found a cabinet with mold and an air freshener that may have been the source. The bathroom light was touchy. Half the light switches weren't hooked up to lights.
This was my parents' VRBO so they thought it was great. For experienced VRBO travelers, it lacked the finished, and we liked the host.
We had a great trip! The location was fantastic and very easy to get to. The property was in great condition. It was a bit dusty here and there. But nothing felt gross. We were missing a grill but we made due and figure out somethings. But when you brings steaks and hamburgers to eat a grill is preferred. Hot tub did it's job but we did have to refill it ourselves a couple times as the water runs out pretty easily. Overall a great time and we would for sure stay again. My only down fall is that we really never heard from the owner at all during our trip. Some may say this is a good thing, but we like communication. If anything a simple enjoy your stay. But wow the bears! As I was getting into the hot tub a bear started climbing up the deck and if I did not hear it rustling it would have met me face to face. But I quickly got inside and when we looked out from the top deck, there were 5 total bears outside of the property. CRAZY!! It was a great time and thank you for the stay.

Family trip review
The good about this property was that it was decorated super cute, and the hot tub was a plus! The location was pretty close to things to do but the roads and driveway were a little sketchy. There were some things that could've been improved though based off our experience. The contactless check in was nice but there were 2 codes sent to us so trying to figure out the right one to open the lock box was a little tedious in the dark. A lot of things were broken or not working right at the property. The breaker box tripped anytime we plugged the heaters in downstairs (which was needed because it did get very chilly down there) so we ended up playing outlet roulette so that the heaters would not randomly shut off after we went to sleep. The upstairs TV had terrible static when the volume was turned on, the pool table pockets had the staples broken out so the pool balls would fall to the floor and the futon downstairs had a not to unzip the back pockets and put the legs down to use it as a bed but when we went to do that one of the legs was completely broken off. I did message the property manager about this and the response I received was as follows "mash the input button on the remote. It should make everything fine. Thanks for letting me know about the other. I'll have that taken care of. Also, a child can sleep on the futon but no adults please. Thanks" Jamie was quick to respond to my messages though so that was nice! The property was nice but definitely was not designed for our family of 7 people. The dining room table only had 4 chairs and there was no additional seating which made it difficult for dinners with the family. Also, on a cleaning note when we were packing our things up, we checked under the bed to make sure we didn't miss anything and found multiple socks that were not ours.
Overall we enjoyed our visit!
The good:
Lots of sleeping space
Clean
Fire place on 1st and 2nd floors
Hot tub was great!
Washer and dryer
The “meh”
No grill - this was our biggest disappointment as it’s pictured in the listing and we brought food to grill, but found there was no grill anywhere to be found
Older place - didn’t bother us at all, but just be aware. Stairs inside are steep and can be an issue for some, some oddities with electrical things (where to find lights, outlets etc)
Just FYI: this place is located fairly high up and along some fairly steep and windy roads. It’s about 10 minutes to town.
Overall we’d stay again and enjoyed our time with the small exception of not having a grill!
The house was very clean and close to town but still felt like you were for in the mountains. We had bear visitors almost daily which was neat to see. The only down fall is it says sleeps 8, it does sleep 8 but does not accommodate 8. There is only 4 places to sit at the table, it would have been nice to have a couple barstools at the counter and maybe another couch. Other than that there were no complaints. The owner of the house is very responsive and nice. I would definitely consider it again if we had a smaller party.
Bears every morning(9-10). Photos look just like the property. Cozy, yet could use some updates. Even with the issues we had we would recommend here. Owner was very prompt and responded quickly. Btw Bears can open car doors, keep them locked and food free!
