Secluded Home - Views of Mississippi River remote location 15 min from La Crosse

Former bar (Top of the Rock) was recently remodeled and converted into a vacation home. Open floor plan still has elements of the bar (pool table, dartboard, high top tables with bar stools) along with cozy feel of a home. Brand new kitchen, great room with 65” flatscreen TV, modern bathrooms upstairs and down. Lower level has three bedrooms which can sleep up to 8 people.

Beautiful panoramic views of the Mississippi River valley from the deck and inside the home. Since we are near the river, you will hear trains which will occasionally pass by.

Great stay in Brownsville!

This was our 2nd stay at the house in Brownsville. The house was great! The views of the river were awesome and the house was set up perfect for our group. It is an easy drive for our event in La Crosse. Checking in and out were easy. We look forward to booking again in the future.

Just outside of La Crosse

This is our 3rd time staying here. It's a great spot to come down to see our grown kid and have everyone around. Enough to do in the house to not get bored if the weather is bad. Will be back as always.

Relaxing stay on the Mississippi River.

This was a girls trip of five retired teachers from SW who wanted to explore Winona, Lanesboro, and Lacrosse. The house looks exactly as it does in the pictures. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed to have an enjoyable stay. The view from both the deck and the living room was beautiful. The host was easy to contact and made sure any questions we had were taken care of immediately. Be sure to visit Saxon Hall bar and grill in downtown Brownsville if you stay at this property. Great pizza and great service.

Beautiful Home

The home was beautiful, and a great way to spend some family time. There is a train that passes across the road, so if the windows are open you will hear it. We didn't hear it at all with the windows closed. The deck is beautiful and a great way to enjoy the view and some sun. We hope to return and make this a regular gathering for our family! A group from the Milwaukee area and Minneapolis area met here for guys weekend. It is the middle-ish. The house was amazing! So much fun stuff to do and amazing views. The house is modern and up to date with a north woods vibe. A+++

Great home for a week!

Stayed a few days with our grandchildren. Their parents joined us midweek for the rest of the week. Had a great time. House was extremely clean and very well equipped. We cooked all meals. Kid’s enjoyed the pool table, dart board and foosball. No shortage of things to do in the area.

Great place with a great view

Everything is as listed, if not better. My friends and I had a great time using this place as a bachelor party. The living area on the 2nd floor is fantastic. Lots of windows with great lighting. We utilized all games available like foosball, darts, and pool. I would 100% recommend a stay and am very tempted to come back in the future.

Peaceful days by the river

Property was wonder! Very spacious. Loved watching the barges quietly going by day and night. Would be a great spot for a holiday family gathering.

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful long weekend. Plenty of beds, well stocked kitchen, and lots of room to relax on the deck or play inside. The deck gets a lot of sun, so it would have been nice to have a patio umbrella. Very small town. So if you plan to go out, there are only a few options, they only take cash, and be sure to check their hours. The tiki bar closed at 7pm on Sunday. Overall, a great place to stay

Clean and comfortable!

First impression when we arrived was how clean it was (VERY!) and that it looked exactly like the pictures or better. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels for 6 women, kitchen had everything we needed. We had plenty of space and greatly enjoyed the indoor and outdoor seating options. There were a few trains that went by on Friday and Saturday, but the latest we heard one was 11:15pm and the earliest we heard one was 7:45 am so it wasn't too disruptive. It was kind of fun to watch them go by too! We've already talked about the possibility of doing a weekend like this again next year, and we would definitely seriously consider coming back!

Amazing property!

I rented the property to be a comfortable stay while we were celebrating a family weekend. With my 7 year old daughter and babysitter along for the ride, the home was perfect for them to be entertained when we didn’t have wedding festivities. We will definitely be booking for a future stay and bring more guests with us to fully enjoy the property and all the amenities. The property was super clean and had everything you could think of. Chris was super accommodating and kind!

Fisherman's Paradise

Group of guys in town for a fishing tournament in Lacrosse. 20 minutes to main boat ramp, plenty of boat ramps nearby. Able to park 4 full size bass boats in the driveway with some wiggle room, with plenty of truck parking also. The home is wonderful with beautiful views of the river. Everything you could need and want from the pool table and dart board to the grill and kitchen utensils! Highly recommend to anyone coming to the area!

Great stay!

We had a great stay! We had a group of 6 stay at the property, and the house was perfect for us. Great views of the river, plenty of things to keep us entertained (pool table, dart board, foosball table), and plenty of room. Communications, access, and instructions were clear, simple, and easy to follow. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in the area.

A great getaway

Once you stay at this property you will want to return. We have stayed here multiple times and it's always fantastic. Chris is a great host, the house is beautiful and well stocked, and the game room is an added bonus. We are already talking about planning our next visit.
