YOUR VACATION CONDO: Located in the heart of downtown Kailua-Kona and directly across the street from multiple beaches, restaurants, galleries, water sports and night life. Super clean and modern ground floor private entrance condo. Gorgeous Tiki Torch ambiance at night right outside your private patio. There are several buildings in the Kona Islander Inn complex and you will be staying in the Molokai building which is located next to the hot tub, pool and BBQ area.
The Kona Islander Inn is ideally located right on the world famous Ali i Drive in downtown Kona, next to countless galleries, shopping, restaurants, surfing, countless water sports and night life to include Lava Java, Laverne’s, Huggo s, Outback, Foster’s Kitchen, Bubba Gump s, Humpy’s to name just a few. You will also find an endless array of fun activities within walking distance to include: tour booking kiosks, beach volleyball, sunset lounging on the beach, swimming, boat excursions to Captain Cook and night Manta Ray viewing, diving, surf & stand-up paddle board lessons, boogie boarding, snorkeling, ocean kayaking, para-sailing, fishing, and countless other boating excursions which all leave right from Ali’I drive and within walking distance or a short bus ride from your condo. You can also rent bikes, mopeds and kayaks at nearby Keauhou & Kailua Bays, Kahalu u and La aloa (Magic Sands),again, all in Kona, and all in walking distance or a short bus ride from your condo! Next to Kona farmer s market for cash and carry purchasing.
Our Cleaning Crew sanitize everything between guests to give you confidence that you are booking a clean and fresh condo for your stay in Kona. We wipe every table top and surface, we clean the A/C filter and sanatize the bathroom. We Windex and wipe all glass mirrors, tables and doors, and vacuum and mop the floors. Please do not leave food out or exposed on the counter at any time and clean up any crumbs to prevent ants and other tropical pests from visiting during your stay. We supply clean linens and towels (4 bath towels and 2 beach towels) as well as hand towels and a wash clothes. Complimentary shampoo and soap are provided for each reservation. Daily maid service is not providerd, however we are happy to provide additional cleaning services during your stay for an additional $125/cleaning plus State of Hawaii Tax.
Front Desk Hours: 2pm-11:30pm
The Kona Islander Inn, where you will be staying, operates in a "hotel style" manner. As soon as you enter the lobby you will see a long reception desk on the left-hand side of the common area for registration upon your arrival. Provided it is not before 2pm or after 11:30pm, a receptionist should be there to provide you with a door code to access the condo, a card key to access the common areas, and a parking pass for the duration of your stay. The card key will provide you with access to the pool, hot tub, BBQ grills and the on-site laundry facilities.
* If you are checking in between 2pm-11:30pm and a receptionist is not at the front desk for any reason, simply pick up the black courtesy phone on the left-hand side of the desk and it will connect you with one of the Kona Inn on site personnel to help with your registration. However, if you’re checking in before 2pm or after 11:30 pm, please let me know as there is no receptionist on duty. In this case, please proceed directly to the condo and register during front desk hours.
While the front desk receptionist can assist with general information, he/she does not manage the condo so if you need anything or experience a maintenance issue, please message me in the VRBO platform or text me at: 214-435-1820.
Please Note: Parking is limited and is first come first serve. There is very limited free parking by permit only. Register your vehicle and get your parking pass when you check-in. Street parking is also available for oversized vehicles and for overflow from Kona Islander Inn. Please keep in mind that this is downtown Kona and parking fills up fast after 3-4pm and many guests have reported having to park on the street several blocks away after dark.
Check-In: 4 pm. If available, a $30 Early Check-in fee + State of Hawaii Tax applies for early check in requests between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Check-Out: 11 am. If available, a $30 Late Check-out fee + State of Hawaii Tax applies for late check out requests between 11:00 a.m. and 2 p.m.

No oven or stove top in the unit however there is a hotplate. The unit is equipped for cooking basic meals or use the Grill set for BBQ grilling poolside.
Please note: There is only one sink in the condo for both the kitchen and bath.

*Please note that this is a tropical environment and the cleaning crew charges $50 + State of Hawaii Taxes for cleaning out any trash left in the condo at check out....its a problem with pests and we insist the condo stays clean and free of excess trash that attract pests . Thank you for your cooperation.
***To help protect our precious sea life, please use "reef safe" no oxybenzone sunscreen. Look for organic or biodegradable product which is easily found in Kona or at your local store in your home town.
