With its cathedral ceiling and skylights, this well-kept beach bungalow offers ranch-style living, all on one floor, with just a single step into the entrance. Only three houses away, through the private gate, is the mile long, newly renovated Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, spanning the coastline, and running parallel to the most pristine wide stretch of white sand beach - raked and cleaned daily.
Situated on a dead-end lane, with a mixture of year-round residents and renters, "Beachcomber Lane" is perhaps the most desirable lane nearest the beach. Despite being narrow, it is one of the few lanes wide enough to drive a car down to unload luggage and groceries, and one of the few to offer both private parking (rare!) and private access to the beach and boardwalk via its own private gate. (Please note: this rental includes four beach badges and a designated parking space for one car.) Beachcomber Lane is also situated at the halfway point, sandwiched between the boardwalk and the Inlet. Turn right and walk to Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, with its lively games, rides, bars, shops, food, mini-golf, and the Jenkinson Aquarium. Turn left and discover the quieter "Inlet", where you can watch the boats come in, relax at the Tiki Bar with a beer and pizza, and listen to the sounds of acoustic music. It's your choice: join the crowds or escape for a bit - the easy access let’s you take advantage of everything Point Pleasant Beach has to offer.

Everything is within easy walking distance from this convenient beach house. There are party fishing boats, bike rentals, and lots of terrific bars and restaurants nearby. It's a short drive to Point Pleasant's charming downtown, or a nice long flat walk, if you desire. You’ll pass the train station...or hop aboard! Local stops (about 20 minutes) include the uber-hip town of Red Bank and live entertainment at The Count Basie Theater, or, if you're feeling lucky, visit beautiful Monmouth Park Racetrack - it's a great way to spend an afternoon! Downtown, you'll find antique emporiums with collectibles that will appeal to both serious buyers and browsers alike, trendy boutiques for young and old, consignment shops, home decor and, of course, lots of local souvenirs. Sprinkled throughout the downtown are Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, American, Sushi and Seafood restaurants, as well as gourmet delis, bagel shops, and great places to grab breakfast, lunch or a coffee. At night, take in a headliner comedy show, share a pitcher of sangria and a dance, or grab a hamburger and fries...all within the downtown.

Wanna drive a little further? 'Premium Outlets', less than 15 minutes away, includes stores such as Coach, Uggs, J.Crew, Adidas, Michael Kors, and more. And Atlantic City with its casinos, and top-name entertainment is about a sixty minute ride.

Following the heartbreak of Hurricane Sandy, this house underwent proper remediation, with total clean-up, treatment, and a major renovation in 2013. (Please note: The house is now smoke-free and absolutely no pets are allowed.) The cheery interior has a full kitchen, living room, three bedrooms, a full laundry room and a powerful "full house" a/c unit, plus cable TV, Wifi, a stereo and DVD player.

Bedroom #1 has a full size bed and closet. Bedroom #2 has a full size mattress and a TV. Bedroom #3 offers a full size bed. There are two full-size leather sofas in the living room. The fully equipped kitchen has a table & chairs, new granite countertops, new ivory cabinets with 'soft close' drawers, a refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee pot, plus all the dishes, pots, pans and utensils you'll need. The beautifully tiled bathroom has a large walk-in shower (no tub), and for your convenience, a separate laundry room provides a full size washer and dryer plus an additional hanging rod for your clothing. Although outside space is limited, there is a gas grill for barbecuing, and an outdoor table & chair set that we share with our next-door neighbors.
