Great Place

This is a great little condo overlooking a lagoon. The furniture and stylings of the place are reminiscent of the late 90’s, but it is clean and highly functional. Would be great for a family of 4 not looking to break the bank. Kitchen is well equipped and easy to navigate.

No curtains

Great place, overall. The only drawback for us was there is no privacy, sitting in the living room at night. The roll down curtains are only decorative and only drop down to about head height.

Comfortable stay

We enjoyed our stay at this Villa. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The view of the water off the back deck was nice, but the frogs get loud at night. There are a few things that need attention. The blinds in the master bedroom were broken and we had to hang up a extra sheet so no one could see in. Also, there are no window coverings in the living room, for sleeping on the pull out couch. It needs to be sprayed for bugs. We saw a couple of roaches, spiders, and lots of silverfish in the carpet.

Just okay

This place needs a major update. We called on a Saturday about a bad hornet issue. We had to call again on Tues because nothing was done. The railing on the deck was rotting and falling apart. We had to use a chair to block our toddlers from falling through or hurting themselves. We also had a cockroach in the kitchen. Dishes in the cabinet were dirty as well.

Nice Quiet Retreat

The location is great if you like some peace and quiet at the end of the day. We liked the floor plan in the unit that allowed some privacy with 2 bedrooms and baths that were separated from each other. The back deck was really neat overlooking the pond in the backyard. Gas grill comes in handy if you want to cook at the end of the day. A couple of things do need attention though. There were some stains in the carpet that need cleaning. The 2 sofas in the living room are dated and soiled somewhat. I think replacement would be the only fix here. Grouting in the bathroom floor tiles needs the be reworked. Nothing serious here, just some repair work. We enjoyed our stay for sure and would stay here again. Just needs a little attention.

Nice Area

Love the location as we have stayed in Lake Forest many times in several different villas. Lake Forest in extremely convenient and we love Sea Pines. Unit is great in some ways, however needs more updating. I would suggest ceiling fans for additional air flow. The patio doors in the living area need some type of window/door treatments allowing your guest to close at night for more privacy. Showers have little to no water pressure. Garbage can area needs cans with better lids, as there was Garbage on the ground all around that area. I can only assume that animals caused this issue as Vacasa assures super cleaning. There were no instructions on how to work the TV, one we found didn't work. It is little things, but at the going rental rates, little things count. Would recommend renting, but also recommend small updates. Had a great weekend.

Good time

Place was great . There were Cobb Webb’s in kitchen window, found towels under the bed, we killed roaches the majority of the time. Lovely place just wasn’t clean free of insects…Befs were horrible. I stay again if beds were new.

Not clean at all and very dated

We spent time every day cleaning what should of been cleaned before. Cobwebs everywhere. The outside cushions were filthy. The garbage area was a mess, garbage scattered around and 2 cans filled with stagnant water. We killed a few large bugs. And to top it all off, there was a dead frog behind the nightstand in the master, and it had been there for a while.

We had an outstanding visit. My husband walks every morning so being close to the Nature Preserve and walking trails was great. We love all that Sea Pines has to offer. It was a wonderful reunion with friends and family that live in Bluffton.

Glad we chose this unit and this development

First off, this was a great place to stay for a week on Hilton Head, despite a few criticisms. We would definitely recommend Lake Forest 3361 – and the entire development-- as a nice and very convenient place to stay. Be aware the place is not brand new, nor in pristine condition. This unit is starting to show its age with some nicks and flaws — a few spots on the carpets, evidence of a water leak in the bathroom, a few places on kitchen cabinet doors that stick, etc. And we still aren’t sure what was with all those mirrors in the dining room and living room curtains that didn’t seem like they could be lowered? The pool was nice though the water wasn’t heated, and the tennis courts were nice. There were two bikes but they didn’t seem to be in working condition so we used our own. But the price was reasonable compared to other similar properties, it had a beautiful view in back to a pond where you can see an alligator or two (don’t even think about going in the pond, but note, all fresh water bodies on Hilton Head seemed to have them!) herons taking fish and lizards, and many interesting birds. It had a nice deck with a gas grill, furniture, and an overhang for afternoon shade. The beds were very comfy and there was a nice walk-in shower and bigger bathtub. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware (though no coffee filters, Kleenex or garbage bags!). It was really peaceful — we slept well — and is in a great Sea Pines location, right on bike trails, next to the Forest Preserve, and close enough to easily bike anywhere on the western half of the island, or go further afoot. It’s a 4 minute drive to many commercial establishments or a 7 minute bike ride. And note you can’t get into Sea Pines without paying an entry fee, or being a registered guest. So it’s nice to have so much close by and within the community where you might be spending a lot of your time. There are many great places to stay on the island, but we were very pleased with our stay at Lake Forest. Vacacsa was pretty good to deal with and communicated pretty well, though the internet cut every other night we were there and we had to restart the router ourselves, since they never sent someone out as we initially requested. Vacasa also gave the key combo to the guy who registered moments before me, but mistakes can happen and they apologized. And their directions for checking in worked well, we were given timely info and some discounts for HH establishments, and most of all, my credit from my 2020 cancelled reservation was accepted, no questions asked. Overall, we were happy with our selection of this unit. It made for a wonderful vacation, which is the bottom line. Would also note HH can be quite crowded, but this development is relaxing.

Sea Pines Retreat

Great stay

A #4 rating was given only because of 3 Issues that are needing improvement. 1 - Window treatment changed in living room/main gathering area to provide more privacy, especially in the evening. 2 - Add a dust ruffle on both beds. It would add more beauty to the room that is already furnished nicely. 3 - Offer a box of Kleenex tissues in both of the bathrooms.
