About this property
*Cottage in the center of Downtown Fairhope*
Quaint cottage with one parking space in the center of downtown Fairhope beside Gene's Beans Ice Cream & Coffee and across from Dragonfly restaurant. Walk to the coffee shops, the bars, the restaurants or the grocery store. The house is set up as a studio so queen bed, sleeper sofa and kitchen are in one room. The carriage house rental is allowed one parking space (the driveway holds two cars but the driveway is a shared space.) The cottage is equipped with washer/dryer, refrigerator, microwave, and stove with oven. The house does not have a dishwasher or cable but hopefully it won’t be an issue because you will be in the perfect location beside some of the best restaurants and activities in town. The TV shown in the pictures is a smart TV so you will be able to log in to your Netflix or Amazon account if you have one.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the convenience of parking right at our door, restaurants, shopping, and even the Mardi Gras parades! There was a slight glitch at check in but our property owner remedied it right away. 😊. Our only complaint was the smart lock on the door. It’s very tricky to use and the slightest movement or breeze causes a little alarm to sound. Perhaps replace it or change battery? Definitely would stay there again!

Great location, not the greatest cottage tho
This place was in an awesome location right in the heart of downtown. The keurig & coffee pods were a nice touch. Cottage was not clean. Floors made our socks filthy. Kitchen sink was clogged & wouldn’t drain, couch smelled like dogs, shower had long hairs on the walls & very low pressure. Parking was super convenient UNTIL we checked out the morning of the arts & craft fair. The streets were lined with vendors & we were told we could not move our vehicle til 6pm. (We had just checked out @ 10:30am) We weren’t informed about the festival, nor were we told to get our car moved prior to it. We called the owners & explained our predicament & were told she’d check with her husband & call us right back. Never called back. The police threatened to put us in jail if we tried to move our car. We called the mayor’s office & they couldn’t get the police to help. We took our chances, moved a couple trash barrels, put our flashers on & slowly made our way to an alley & escaped. I understand the vehicles/pedestrians dangers, but we were 6 hrs from home with no where to stay all day & plans to be in NOLA mid afternoon. Kudos to the police for keeping a safe gathering, but shame on them for their unwillingness to help out some distraught out of town visitors.
This quaint studio home if perfect for you and your spouse or a small family. You are in the heart of downtown. This is mine and my husband 2nd time here and we love Fairhope. We can’t wait until we come back.
This was the perfect stay located in the heart of Fairhope. The property was clean and was perfect for a place to rest while we were shopping. I loved the addition of the bunk beds as it was more functional for our group. We will definitely be booking again!!

Fair Hope Carriage House
The place looks cute and quaint on the outside but the inside was filthy and dated. The owner, however, was very nice.
My wife and stayed here for a long weekend. Wonderful place right in the middle of everything. Close enough to walk everywhere. There is enough room for several people to stay with a queen bed, two bunk beds, and a pull out couch. There is only one bathroom so it may may be small for to many in a group but it was perfect for my wife and I . The description says it is between Mr. Gene's Beans and Dragonfly. However, Dragon is now Cafe Viola.
We just love this place. This is our second time staying at this location. Location is right in town next to everything. You can walk everywhere and enjoy what Fairhope has to offer. Accommodations are clean, comfy, warm and the booking is so easy. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.
Really enjoyed this cottage. It is in the ideal location to enjoy Fairhope’s restaurants and shops!

Awesome location
The location was superior you were right in the middle of town.
The little cottage needs some TLC, sofa was stained ,walls, needed to be painted frig was not cleaned, shelves and nightstands were dusty … the place needed a deep cleaning
We did enjoy our stay being in the middle of everything!
Our neighbors in the ice cream shop and the restaurant were super friendly and both great places to eat
Super cute cottage right in the middle of downtown. Communication was great as well as check-in and check out process
We have already booked for another weekend.
We had a great time! We loved how close the room was to everything! There were some issues with the internet but the owner did everything she could to help us out which I really appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

Best location in Fairhope
One, the directions to the property and its exact location were a little confusing. BUT the location was worth it. I would suggest ownership clean that up a little bit.
Secondly we had a little issue that I am confident that ownership and management did not know until we brought it to our attention. Within LITTLE TIME, an owner was there to address it and take care of it. THAT is what I want in a short-term rental. Customer service and ATTENTION and they passed that with flying colors!

Fair in Fairhope
The cottage was in a fantastic spot. Very walkable to everything. When the door lock didn't work, the owner was quick to respond and fix the issue. Sheets and towels were clean. The pictures on VRBO no longer represent what the cottage is like currently. There are twin bunkbeds mashed into the living room now. The couch was stained and the unit needs a deep clean and painting. The outside green awning is falling apart. I am thankful that the weather was fantastic and we spent most of our time outdoors. We stayed because of the walkability, but I would not rent again.
Absolutely loved the location of this property and would stay here again if ever back in Fairhope. The cottage had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable.
