Selvanova is a residential area that is very quiet and secure, making it ideal for a nice and relaxing holiday! It is outside of downtown, however just a short drive away. It also counts with easy access to the highway, which makes it easy to move around and explore all that the Riviera Maya, has to offer. Or set out to explore Tulum Jaguar Park (Parque del Jaguar).

Definitely not luxury

Property needs lots of work! Kitchen tap kept falling off, towel rails loose in both bathrooms, leaking walls when raining. Needs a good clean and better pillows. Nothing supplied ie no salt, pepper, oil, sugar, tea or coffee. Not even a tea towel supplied to dry the dishes with. Far from town so need to taxi if you don’t have your own car. Cost was generally around MXN70-100 each way. No good restaurants or bars nearby. Would not stay here again.

Beautiful, clean, and safe

We had three large rooms and 3 bathrooms for our big family. The house and gates community seem brand new and in a great part of town. We found better food here (and cheaper) then in Playa del Carmen Beach area. It's next to a Walmart which was useful for groceries. The staff were very responsive. I am happy they had a laundry machine, clean towels, and beautiful furniture. This is our new go to spot everytime we stay in Mexico. Good for families. Beautiful clean pool right outside the front door. Air conditioning was cold. Community was safe. We loved the neighbors.

Very good experience.

The house is very cozy and big. Recommended for families who do not want to be in a resort, but want to use a pool or live a vacation as if they were at home.

Great Place to stay at

I will for sure look this place up when I go back to Playa del Carmen, my entire family loved the place, it was clean and organized. Owner was checking on us to make sure that we had the right information and that we were enjoying our stay. It was a very pleasing little spot to be at. The only comment I would make is that the WiFi was very slow and only available on the bottom side of the house.

Playa stay

There were a couple of minor issues when we arrived with one bathroom not being thoroughly clean and no toilet paper at all (this was slightly before the COVID-19 shortage), but the issues were resolved within 20 minutes of our contacting Alberto. Overall the place was very clean and well organized. It was in a great location to be able to sit on the balcony from our room and watch the kids in the pool. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and there is a Soriana and an Oxxo very nearby.

The Property was perfect but the service surpassed it.

We arrived and the property was exactly like the pictures. We had one issue with an empty gas tank and did not have hot water for our first morning but the response to resolve the issues was exceptional. My family enjoyed the property.

Fantastic experience

At first we were greeted by Laura Boscaro who was very nice and explained everything to us. The house was awesome and I highly recommend this home to anyone. I normally don’t write reviews but this experience was awesome and like I said Laura made the experience even bettter. She checked in throughout the week to make sure we were good.
