Pine Creek Hikes
Mark was a very responsive host. There was a power outage one day that we were notified two days in advance of ( on hottest day of year) and a shower issue that Mark addressed immediately. We were given an immediate credit. Very comfortable cabin close to the Sequioa sights and hikes .

Comfortable, Roomy, Get Away
We would have given the place 5 stars except for the mold smell in the master bathroom. It was cozy, clean, comfortable, roomy, with good instructions and book of things to do in the area. The porch was set up nicely with a hammock and raised fire pit and when the bridge is fixed will be a nice place to relax (too many cars zooming by with the bridge out).

Peaceful Getaway
Clean and homey. Felt like we had lived there all our lives. Although initially finding the property was a little difficult, it allowed us to take the scenic route through the community. So close to nature and the hike behind the house to the swing, was breathtaking. Definitely considering coming back. Thank you Mark for being a gracious host and so responsive! The book binder provided was a lot of help!

Quiet and peaceful stay
The property is in a very quiet and peaceful area. With the creek near by the nights on the porch we’re very relaxing. An hour 45 minute drive up to Sequoia National park. The stay was a great time for my family to bond and get out of the city. Mark is a great host with a 5 star care for his guests!

Nice stay
Very nice place, many things to do. The house is very comfortable, just have to change the futon mattress (an adult cannot sleep there). And need a door in the bathroom of the Master bedroom. Mark is very friendly and respond very quickly to messages.

A cute, friendly country house
This lovely house provided a great jumping-off point for our family to explore Sequoia National Monument (south of Sequoia National Park) and the surrounding areas. The house is clean and spacious. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking, including some basic spices and salt. This house is in a pretty remote area (although there are neighbors) and there’s no cell service, but the house has good WiFi for checking email, etc and there’s a landline phone for emergencies. The best part of this house is the big gorgeous deck, which was great for eating outdoors. The house has both heat and AC, and the weather varied so widely during our visit in May that we ended up using both.

Great Family Retreat
We had a wonderful stay. Very nice, "homey," and comfortable, with all the essentials provided. We were happily surprised by the central AC, as it was pretty warm when we were there, so it was nice to return to a cool house when we returned from a hike . We enjoyed the outside patio and firepit in the evenings. Hosts were exceptional. Would definitely return

We had a nice time…
The house was clean and comfortable. The owner was easy to get ahold of and the check in process was easy. We visited the 100 giants trail and a few others in the area and had a very nice time. I was a bit disappointed that a pool was listed as an amenity but it turns out it costs $15 per person to swim. The description also painted a picture of the house being in nature, with a creek right across the street. We imagined being able to do some nature hikes near by but you are surrounded by houses all with signs saying “private property” or “we don’t call 911.” You can’t get down to the creek because of all the houses. It’s one long road, aligned with houses. I was also disappointed to discover I had been charged an “extra person fee.” The owner explained that it was in anticipation of extra cleaning costs for anyone over 2 people staying. I thought that was a little shady. If housekeeping costs more, charge more and call it house keeping. Don’t slide it in under a different fee. On the day we checked out, we drove to the Sequoia State Park and it should be noted, if the actual state park is your plan, that’s about 2 1/2 hours away. Again, the owner was very friendly and the house was nice. I wish the description had been more accurate.

Pine flats get away
The rode trip itself was picturesque, once you arrive on hot springs road. You start with beautiful fields that lead into beautiful golden rolling hills with mighty oaks lining the road and sprinkling the hills, then there are cows! The farther you drive the more oaks you see until you get closer to the cabin then you have your pine forest! The cabin is comfy, it's basic but the deck is awesome, you sit there and see so many beautiful birds! It was a place to be with family without interruptions of the outside world ( very limited wifi) the night sky is amazing! There are deers, wild turkey and quail in the surrounding forest and easy to see when you hike near the cabin. We will be going again.

Glamping, since there was no service and all your necessities were there
So far communication with the owner was good. You really do have to follow the instructions getting there because Google maps will instruct you to another house. Very quiet place literally in the middle of mountains which gives you more of an experience of wilderness. The drive was actually peaceful, lots of metals green fields and cute cows. Be advised the road getting there has lots of turns and altitude. The house was very cozy there was mouse traps underneath the floor vents which made me glad that at least the owner is being precautious with critters. All your necessities are there at the house do bring a pack of water and your own spices if you're planning to cook. TV has cable so if you want to just relax in the living room after a long day it's great. The little fire pit outside was relaxing with blankets. The stars looked amazing out there. You can hear all the wilderness in the mornings. Great place to really get away from social media !
