Small but nice place. Would not recommend for more than 2 adults. Bed was pretty small. The location was nice to be away from the crowds. Is on the second level of three, so we heard the people above us.
We enjoyed our stay here! It was the perfect size, clean and quiet with nice views. It was a great home base for taking in the sights and hiking in the park. We even saw a bear while driving down the mountain one morning. Gigi was great and easy to work with and the apartment had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the Baby Bear! It was clean and had a wonderful view. We saw a few bears on the way up the mountain which was really cool. At night we could see Jupiter, Saturn, and the Milky Way! My kids loved it.
Lovely and cozy little condo at the top of Ober Mountain. The unit is as described and the views of the Smoky Mountains are stunning. Gigi is very quick to respond to any and all questions/concerns. We would absolutely stay here again.
We had a short stay but was a quiet and relaxing area. Had breakfast on the balcony with a nice view. The view from the bed is also nice. Bed was comfortable. Place was clean and efficient. Door dash and pizza gets delivered up that high too :) I would stay here again for sure.
We came to Gatlinburg to explore and hike. Only slept at the condo, room is comfy and clean. Location was good for us, about 10 min drive away from the city up on the mountain. Beware of the bears, they do come up to look for food by the trash bin. We saw 4 on the parking lot.
Everything was clean. Appliances outdated but work. I thought some of the pictures were views from the condo but some were not. Balcony view is of the road. In the corner you can see part of a mountain.
Just like the pictures. Not a great view from the room but very close to pool that has a awesome view. LONG, CURVY road about 15 minutes straight up a mountain so if you get motion sickness easy, prepare. Great communication with owner, no ice maker or ice trays and check in was 4oclock sharp. Would stay again.
The ride up the first time was a surprise.
Very steep
But, it was definitely worth it.
Amazing view
The pool was green, but it was fixed the next day.
Overall it was a good experience
Love this property..beautiful view quite and owner was a big help thur out the process. Very clean and everything u need is there except for food..lol...Thanks Gigi I will be back. 🧡
Cozy bear did not disappoint!!! The view was absolutely amazing Sleeping wasn’t a dream. I couldnt have asked for more. Location gives you the whole experience being so high up on the mountain the drive up was something to see. We will be back Cozy Bear thanks for the memories and sharing your space w us.
My wife and I were in Gatlinburg to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. The winding, steep drive to the condominium was a bit hair raising, since we didn’t realize that we were driving to the top of the mountain. The room size of the condo was sufficient. We had room to cook our own meals and prepare for daily hikes to waterfalls and do some touring. However, the sliding door to the small deck was almost impossible to open, we didn’t find the washing machine and the built in bed was difficult for us to get out of. Otherwise it was okay.
We absolutely loved our stay! We wanted to be in the mountains and this place didn’t disappoint! We loved the drive up, very exciting seeing how high up we were! The condo was just as described! So cute! Perfect for my daughter and myself. Nice to be able to have a kitchen so we could eat our leftovers from our meals out! The only thing I’d change is a floor lamp could’ve used beside the couch for some softer lighting and for reading w/o bothering someone if sleeping in the bed. But other than that we loved everything about the place! Gigi was very communicative and told us everything we needed to know ahead of time! Great condo manager!!
Disappointed I asked for late check out and was denied due to cleaning staff needing to clean in time for next guest however bathroom was dirty!!😩

Why they chose this property
In early 2016 we took a self-planned vacation to High Chalet - this exact complex - and we fell in love with the area. We can't retire yet - but we plan to settle down in the Great Smoky Mountains soon - and this is our first step into paradise. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
This hideaway in the mountains is very special - surrounded by majestic mountains and fluffy clouds - wildlife all around. You can hike right from your front door or just to the nearby picnic tables and enjoy the fresh air and nature at its best.
