SHARI'S PLACE - UNEXPECTED CHARM; STAND-ALONE COTTAGE

Cozy and quiet is this adorable stand alone home in Santa Margarita. **There is no longer a gas "stove" in the kitchen** We have substituted a new Air Fryer, two burner gas stove top and a large electric skillet. "Margarita" is conveniently located in the middle of our fabulous San Luis Obispo County wine country. Just 10 minutes to San Luis Obispo on the South bound HWY 101 and 20 minutes to Paso Robles on North bound HWY 101. This home is very close to town and a wonderful place for walking. In town, you will find Ancient Peaks wine tasting and across the street is Santa Margarita Adventures for Zip lining and tours. I do my best to keep my house extremely clean and well maintained and very well equipped I personally make sure that all all linens are in top condition for your comfort. Our home is powered by solar! Always doing our best for your best experience.

Perfect Santa Margarita stay

The location and the interior and the charm of the unit was all Santa Margarita! Open, clean and bright, the unit was very comfortable. Everything we needed, plenty of room, quiet and cute. We were very pleased and will return! The owner was most accommodating and the unit well stocked and supplied.

long weekend stay

The property was great, clean, nicely appointed, and had everything we needed for our 4 day stay (we were here for the Cal Poly Family Weekend). We were able to BBQ, cook, relax and hang out inside and outside the property. A close walk to the downtown area, so we were able to browse shops, dine, and enjoy the small town of Santa Margarita. Our hosts were great and helpful. We highly recommend this VRBO and hope we can return someday soon

Relaxing Stay

This was my second time staying at this property. As before, the property was immaculate, very comfortable, and fully appointed. Shari is an amazing host, and does everything she can to make guests feel welcome. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit the San Luis Obispo area. For first time visitors to San Luis Obispo, it is important to know that the property is about eight or nine miles north of SLO on the 101 freeway. This is absolutely not a problem, but just something to point out for those who are unfamiliar with the area. The town of Santa Margarita is quite small, but very nice. There are shops and a winery within walking distance of the property, and I encourage visitors to check these out. Overall, an excellent place to stay!

Great little place

This great little house was in a wonderful location. We went down to SLO for a wedding and also down to Arroyo grande for a party. It was great to come back up the hill into a tiny quiet town into a quiet neighborhood. We were able to walk to a lovely breakfast every morning, ancient peaks tasting and restaurant, and a small lovely market. We would stay here again if we’re ever back in the area.

Wow! What a bargain!

Absolutely everything about this place was perfect. Shari is a retired property manager and it shows. For a couple or a single looking to spend some time in wine country this is a perfect getaway and the price is less than most motel or hotel rooms. I know that some may think Santa Margarita is too remote but Avila, Pismo and Morro beaches are only 15 minutes away and San Luis Obispo is even closer. Any time I have a chance I will stay again.

Great place in central california

Very central to visit paso robles, San Luis obispo, Morro bay etc. Property is clean and cosy, kitchen is very well equipped. We will be back!

Relaxing Stay

The cottage was very clean and well appointed with anything anyone would need for a getaway. The bed was super comfortable. Sherri has thought of everything that one would need in the kitchen and bathroom. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Our Santa Margarita Get Away

This was a lovely place to stay, and the decor was just to my taste! Clean, cozy, and beautiful artwork all around. The patio was also lovely with the wisteria in bloom and the little white lights.

Great Getaway Weekend

We came up for a weekend to visit our son at SLO and do a little wine tasting in Paso Robles. The location was perfect, just minutes away from both. Nice local restaurants in waking distance if you don’t want to cook. This place is so cute and clean we can’t wait to come back.

Just what we needed.

This place is a really nice, simple, clean cottage-style home. It is very comfortable and has everything you need. My wife and I and a friend stayed the weekend for the Spartan race and it was perfectly located and just what we needed.

I have managed vacation rentals throughout my real estate career from which I am now retired. I love my little house, making it as comfortable as possible, and furnishing it with whimsy and quality. I hope you you are as comfortable there as I am.

NEW ITEMS: ALL NEW WINDOW COVERINGS, BETTER WI-FI, NEW SET OF SHEETS, NEW HALL CLOSET AND QUARTZ COUNTERS. FYI - The power went out yesterday, but our vacation rental had power because of our solar program with battery backup!!!

Why they chose this property

My husband purchased this property in 1982. Many things have happened between then and now, but it's our favorite house - loving it more than our residence next door! The front house was built by a carpenter. The back house was originally a garage and has expanded and improved throughout the years.

What makes this property unique

Cozy, comfortable, nice size rooms, storage, separate laundry room and you cannot help but feel a specialness while you are here. We are unique in that I think we are the only one bedroom in town and I will bet it is the cleanest! I actually use your cleaning fee to pay my excellent cleaners - and then, I look at it again and again.

In the living room you will find a new GOOD QUALITY sofa with a pull out standard bed. No middle bar and a comfortable, good mattress.
