Stunning Oceanfront Retreat, Kahana Reef 218


Direct oceanfront unit in a highly desirable location right in between the popular areas of Kaanapali and Kapalua. When you sit on the balcony, you have panoramic views looking out to the islands of Lanai and Molokai. You will also see whales and sea turtles and have access to a small, private, and shaded beach depending on the tides and season. Please see our video for more views of our property.

A shared pool by the sea provides a great place to cool down and relax. Watch the sunset from the oceanfront grass area which is accessed exclusively by residents and their guests.

The meticulously maintained unit is within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and small cafes. The recently renovated unit includes a luxurious bathroom, updated kitchen and appliances, and island-themed decor.

This unit offers one bedroom with a king bed and a queen sized sofa sleeper and comfortably fits families of four or less. Wifi and cable are included and a smart TV.

We provide beach chairs, towels, beach toys, and a kitchen with all the supplies necessary to make a homemade meal. A coin-operated laundry facility is also available during the day for your use, if necessary.

We take great pride in providing a high-quality and luxurious experience to all of our guests. Kahana Reef has been our second home for years and we look forward to the opportunity to host your family.

Kahana Reef is a beautiful and quiet property. Please observe the community rules and be respectful of other residents. If the owner is contacted about a noise, conduct or smoking complaint during your stay there may be a monetary fine.

We hold both General Excise and Transient Accommodation licenses from the State of Hawaii. The ID Numbers are GE-029-914-9824-01 and TA-029-914-9824-01. Overall the unit is ok. The location is good, the view is excellent but the lani furniture needs to be replaced. Lounge chair was broken. The is ok but needs a better cleaning and is due for paint. The kitchen is fine and the ice maker in the fridge is a plus.

Great Location / No AC

We stayed for 4 nights in Kahana. The property location is very close to Lahaina. The view is spectacular! The ocean is right in front of you.The property does not have AC. When we contacted the owner, we were told the property would cool down if we left the doors & windows open. However, it was unusually hot this season and no trade winds. When we advised the owner about this, he basically said we should leave early and check into a "plush hotel". The property is not well kept; the pictures are deceiving. It was not clean and the furniture is torn / not in good condition. Makes you wonder what the 200 cleaning fee is being used for?I would recommend this area but definitely look for a different property if you are thinking about staying around here.

Great Condo / Experience

This property was everything we had hoped for and more. Steps to a small beach for easy water access. We watched wales and turtles from our balcony and even had a couple of shark spotting's. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. the Check-In and Check-out process was quick and simple. We would, and hope, to come back again..

Absolutely wonderful

Just finished our stay here and I'm already missing those long, lazy afternoons on the balcony overlooking the water, with the palm tree on the left and the private beach out to the right. A truly magical place. Kelly was great, too. Very responsive, replying quickly to every message I sent to her, and accomodating. I was a little nervous upon booking that the risk of a positive Covid test would result in no possibility of cancellation, but that seems to be a common policy these days and thankfully by being extra vigilant in the days before resulted in no issues. Some things I didn't know before arriving; the private beach is very, very close. The Condo is on the right side of the property and all that's required to get to the beach is to go down the stairs of the condo, then walk about 20 feet to the stairs that lead directly to the beach. We did some great snorkeling on the reef right in front of the condo and there are a pair of sea turtles who come up to the seawall in the mornings and afternoons. Also, the bed in the photo looked kind of small but I can confirm it is definitely a very large (and comfortable!) king sized bed. The kitchen had every pot/pan and utensil you'd need to cook and basic spices as well. The shops are indeed a close walk away. We didn't rent a car due to the insane prices and had no problem getting food and drink at the closeby grocery and liquor stores. Also, the gym club Maui had everything I needed for a couple days' workout and the snorkel rental place was close, too. The air conditioning in the living room was great for a few of the days when we had lunch inside, but for the most part we cooled the place by leaving the windows open, which gave a nice breeze throughout the night. Overall, a fantastic stay and we are thinking about making a return trip next year.

Great Condo!

We really enjoyed our stay on Maui. This condo was amazing as it is RIGHT on the ocean. We watched many whales jumping as we relaxed with coffee in the morning. Everything we needed was supplied by the condo. Well stocked and arranged.

Great west Maui location

A beautiful condo inside, with fantastic views from the balcony. We observed whales several mornings while enjoying our coffee. It was great central location for exploring different beaches and hiking trails. The beach adjacent to the property was great for days when we didn’t feel like traveling. Having beach chairs, towels and coolers is so convenient so you don’t have to worry about rentals

Can't beat the location. With a car rental you can access all Maui as to offer. Right on the oceanfront with unobstructed views, you can walk or run the sand, enjoy the amazing sunsets, or just relax on the balcony and chill. Great to have a kitchen, it was convenient and money saving. Had a great time. Sharing this condo info with my friends. Thanks.

Kahana Reef is a quiet direct oceanfront, low-density complex. It is a beautiful place to stay and relax while also centrally located between the Kaanapali and Kapalua resort areas on the West side of Maui. There are amazing beaches and water activities as well as world famous golf courses located within minutes of our property.

What makes this property unique

I want to reassure my guests that our condo has always been throughouly cleaned & sanitized between guests. I am an RN & have always been meticulous about disinfecting all surfaces w a bleach solution including light switches, door knobs & remotes. All linens & bath towels are also cleaned at high temps. w a bleach detergent.
