This Carmel home has amazing views of protected hillsides and Point Lobos that can be enjoyed from the bedrooms, the large open plan living/dining room with a wall of windows, and a spacious, protected veranda accessed from the living room and both bedrooms. It is close to the Carmel Mission and the famous Mission Ranch restaurant. It is a short drive to the beach and the shops and galleries of downtown Carmel.

Wonderful soothing views from the living room and bedrooms. Excellent sitout. Superb amenities, great location. Only minor complaint is that lack of drapes makes it hard for light-sensitive people to sleep when it's light outside.

Restful Carmel Retreat

This is one of our favorite properties. We really loved so much about it. First, its location was perfect for many family activities. Located in a beautiful neighborhood of Carmel-By-the-Sea, the property was close to the fabulous restaurants and shops of downtown Carmel, the famous not-to-be-missed17-mile drive, Monterey (and the Monterey Aquarium), and the Point Lobos Nature Preserve. It also was a 45-minute drive to Big Sur Hiking. Second, the home was meticulously kept, lovely to look at, and charming. The home had a refreshing open air feel with lots of windows, with beautiful views of the mountain from the master and guest bedrooms and the family room. Third, the place was relaxing. The beds were so comfortable and we appreciated the quality linens and sheets. My husband and I stayed with our two teenagers and had plenty of room. They put out a very comfortable queen air bed. The kitchen has nice appliances and everything one would need to cook. Finally, we were so appreciative of the fact that the homeowners left little welcoming touches like a bottle of wine, and coffee and cream for our visit. It made our first night perfect!

Cool Carmel

Amy and Andrea have created a fresh, bright and calm environment for their guests. From the extra large master with great views to the fluffy towels, it was a wonderful experience. The home is centrally located in Carmel, with the ocean and valley nearby to explore. Only drawback was small 2nd bedroom and its bed. Thanks for the coffee and wine left for us to enjoy!

Peaceful and super stylish space

This home greatly exceeded our expectations in nearly every way possible. It’s newly renovated and the owners went out of their way to maintain the original charm of the house, while updating it with state-of-the-art modern amenities. It’s a gorgeous space that feels like home. The beds were incredibly comfy and the towels were worthy of the finest spa. The kitchen is really well-stocked and they left snacks and coffees and lots of extras to get us by until we got to a grocery. They have 2 different kinds of coffee makers which made us super happy, and they left us TONS of coffee. It’s airy, it’s bathed in light, and it’s modern and supremely comfortable. There are gorgeous gardens surrounding the home and on a clear day you can see the ocean. Check-in was a breeze. The home is located in a really lovely residential neighborhood and has great views. There is a grocery and shops/restaurants 5 minutes away. Lastly, the hosts are very kind, generous, and lovely people. We didn’t get to meet them in person, but I chatted with Amy on the phone. They are attentive to anything you could possibly need and they go out of their way to accommodate any concerns or questions. It was truly one of the most memorable VRBO experiences we’ve had. I really can’t recommend it highly enough.
