Celadon 1602 is a cheery 3 bedroom Panama City Beach gulf front condo that includes a kid friendly bunk room that provides a great backdrop for a family fun vacation. When you step into this condominium residence you know that you're in a vacation spot designed for a memorable family vacation: great views, big rooms, well-equipped, beautiful beach, two pools and a location that’s convenient to everything but far enough away that it's quiet. During the week of Oct 7th, resort will be smoothing walkways, on this floor could be a little noisy at times.

But let’s start with what makes this the perfect spot. Step out on the balcony and the first thing you’ll notice is the breathtaking views of the Gulf. Celadon is built close to the beach so you get stunning views of the beach and water. Just look at the balcony photos and picture yourself relaxing with your morning coffee out here. In fact, you’ll want to bring your binoculars along so that you can enjoy watching the dolphins playing in the water. It’ll feel like you can reach out and touch them. You'll want to spend all your time here because you have wonderful views of the beach and gulf. You’ll really enjoy the spectacular sunsets to the west. A great spot at the end of a great day. The living room is very open and features a comfortable sofa with a love seat alongside. The photos show how roomy and comfortable the living area is. There’s a big screen TV to enjoy too! Plenty of room for the whole family.

The KITCHEN area is well equipped and gives you great views. It’s fully stocked so no matter whether you’re cooking your specialty or just fixing mac and cheese for the kids you’ve got everything you need to please the family.

The DINING AREA comfortably seats six and offers beach views so the family can share meals and trade their favorite part of their days at the beach while enjoying all the beauty of the gulf.

The MASTER SUITE features luxurious KING bed and private bath. There’s plenty of space to store your beachwear in the spacious closets. You’ll notice the TV that makes for great viewing when you’re relaxing after an activity filled day in Panama City Beach. You can step out onto the balcony from the MASTER SUITE which is really nice.

The SECOND MASTER is equally well appointed with a KING bed. And plenty of space for everything you’ve brought to the beach. This cheery bedroom is a great hideaway with lots and lots of room. There’s also a flat screen TV in this large SUITE.

The kid friendly bunk room is equipped with a twin bunk that’s perfect for the kids. They’ll enjoy the 25” flat screen here as well.

Perfect size for a family

The perfect size for a family with enough space to stretch out and relax after a day at the beach. Close to food, shopping and activities. The parking deck with climate controlled crossing tunnel was a bonus, keeping our vehicle out of the sun. They also had an umbrella and some beach chairs and toys for use which was nice. The kitchen has all the basic cooking necessities but bring extra dish soap, garbage bags, paper towels and toilet paper if you’ll be there for a few days. This unit could use some basic maintenance attention. The verticals blinds were missing several blades and the dining table and chairs were pretty wobbly. Also probably time for a deep clean. While the bed linens and towels were clean as well as most of the surfaces, the rugs and ceiling fans were very dirty and there were food particles and dust in corners and cabinets. Nothing that would ruin your stay but worth mentioning.

Nice condo with basic amenities. Great view from the family room and master bedroom! Easy access to the beach. No issues with the parking garage. Easy in and out. Pools were nice and heated. Overall a great stay!

Met our needs

Overall it was a fine property and we all had a great time. There was plenty of space and access to the beach was great. Check-in was pretty simple except for the fact that the code needed to register your vehicle was nowhere in our email or text information and I had to reach out to get it. I will warn that the pictures in the listing do make it seem more immaculate than it is. As someone else has mentioned, there was no tv in the kids room, which was fine because mine didn’t need it but it is misleading. The tv in the living room was funky, my husband was slightly disappointed that he couldn’t watch football in HD but he survived. There were several small things that indicate it hasn’t been taken care of properly: broken bar stool, broken dining room chair, wobbly dining rooms chairs, plus the vacuum wouldn’t even suck sand off the rug and was already labeled “POS need to trash.” Oh, and the heated pool always left my kids shivering so…don’t count on that if you’re traveling during the cooler months like we did. The view was amazing, the location was great, and we had a wonderful little family getaway.

The location is great, the condo is just as described. You cannot *BACK* your vehicle into a parking space or you will receive a citation. Parking is $40 per vehicle. Other than that, our stay was great.

The property was nice and conveniently located but our unit was extremely shabby and unclean. The floors were slippery with some kind of residue, there was mold in the showers, there was broken glass in one of the bedrooms when we arrived, one of the dining room chairs was broken and wobbly, and all of the kitchen items were in terrible shape. The unit’s vacuum barely worked, and the bunk room had little to no ventilation. I do not recommend at all.

Issues with response

I contacted the host through VRBO regarding an issue with the dryer. I was advised to call the maintenance department. I spoke with them and someone came out the next day and was unable to fix it. I was told it would be 2 days before the part came in which was completely unacceptable. A new dryer was delivered later that evening (after multiple messages and being a lot later than I was told). I have sent multiple messages regarding clothes that were ruined in the original dryer with no response. My overall stay was good but i am very unhappy with the response time, and now no response regarding my issue with the clothing. I sent another message last night asking for a response before I left my review and I still have not heard anything from them.

Family trip

Overall the condo was nicely decorated and equipped with everything we needed. However, the coffee pot wouldn’t work, there was a sewage smell occasionally in the front master bathroom and the bunk room for kids didn’t have a tv like the description mentioned. That room was one of the main reasons I booked this property. It’s in a great location and close to everything you could want. It was a nice family vacation.

Our stay

Most of the dishes were dirty and had to be cleaned. There were chips on the floor from the the last tenets. Looked like dog poop or something on the balcony that had been there long enough to not be identifiable. But other than that a very nice place to stay. No issues with checking in or out. Overall cleanliness was adequate. Great area where traffic wasn’t too bad.

Elevators were not consistently working. The clothes dryer in the unit didn’t work. There was an issue with accessing the parking permit and no one could reach the property manager. Location was perfect and beach access was easy.

My family booked the Celadon six years ago and stayed at a beautiful unit on the 23rd floor. Hoping we would have the same great experience, we booked here again. This time was not good at all. 1- Parking for the condo was available but NOT included without a charge which was not advised until a day before checking in. Property management stated we should have received a text stating our room was ready- no texts were ever sent. It took us 45 min to get into our room. 2- The tenants directly above our room were yelling and cursing lude profanity ALL.. NIGHT.. LONG until 4am!!! This continued for several nights. I understand these types of circumstances can not always be controlled but the property manager never returned my phone call I left on 7/20/21 regarding this complaint. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. 3- The cleanliness was subpar- baking sheets stored with grease left on them. The master shower curtain was torn and covered with mildew. Tons of black mildew on the handicap shower handle in master bath. Black mold/mildew in washing machine dispenser. There was no broom available to sweep during the week. The vacuum was so full of hair on the roller, and dirt that it kicked out dirt if you tried to vacuum. The mats on the balcony were covered in sand. 4- The unit overall needs updating. The photos reflect bedspreads on the bed- there were none. The breakfast nook lights did not work. The furniture is dated and very worn- looks dirty. The listing stated there were TV's in all bedrooms- there was not one in the bunk room. Vertical blinds were missing pieces and those were shoved in a closet. 5- The Celadon building management team are not helpful or shall I say, NONEXISTENT. Hope this helps potential guests.

Great views!

My family and I had a wonderful time in PCB. The condo has an amazing view of the gulf. We saw dolphins, sharks and sting rays. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Both pools were nice and the beach chairs were definitely a great bonus.

It was a good place, not amazing, but good

Unit: overall it was good. Had everything we needed and beds were really comfortable!! Having two kings was great. View from balcony was beautiful. Kitchen was cramped with 2 people. Could have used more open space. Celadon complex: not our favorite. Only 3 elevators for a 23 story complex and most of the time at least one was not working. Wait times were horrible. I’m not exaggerating. According to frequent guests of the Celadon, that’s normal. The kids and I actually preferred to walk up 16 flights of stairs when our hands were free. Having 2 pools was great, but the best one was across the street where the parking garage is. Hot tub and indoor/outdoor pool were really nice. Pool on BEACH side was cold and shaded most of the day. “Hot” tub was not even warm. Didn’t enjoy that pool like we usually do with a beachside pool. Beach: 20ft walk to sand which is nice but area in front of Celadon is soooo crowded with beach chairs from condo. We actually went to the far right where there are only beach houses and camped out there. Much less crowded. Sand and water are BEAUTIFUL! Good news is that The Celadon is the LAST high rise in PCB west so beyond are just beachfront homes and it’s very quiet. Hope this review helps!

Great Location - More communication is needed

If you want a clean and nice condo with easy beach access this is the place. The only reason I'm giving less than stellar marks is because of the lack of information about parking early on. 1) You have to pay for parking. You can purchase and print the parking pass before you come, but we were already on the move by the time we got the email the night before. We stayed for two nights and paid $25. The parking garage is across the street from the main building. 2) If you forget, there is a computer on the second floor lobby reserved for printing passes. When we were printing ours off the computer glitched and we couldn't get it to pull up our pass (even though the payment went through). This leads to point #3. 3) The Celadon building management team are not helpful. When we brought up the printing issue the building manager blew me off and we got in a shouting match, which was surprising because I'm a very level headed guy and hate fighting (seriously, ask my spouse). So basically, if something is wrong with the building you are probably on your own. Again, we loved the cleanliness, location, amenities, beach, etc and we would definitely consider booking the same place. It was mainly the parking and building management issues that made it hard for first timers.

Awesome room

The room was great! The refrigerator doesn’t get real cold and no one responds to messages through VRBO, but location and room were amazing! The elevators had issues. One dropped a few floors while we were in it, one stunk so bad, and the other was amazing! We did have to climb the stairs a few times, but we needed to burn some calories. 16 floors was rough. We were thankful for the beach chairs and umbrellas that were in the room. You have to pay to get chairs and umbrellas in front of the condo. It was around $40 for 2. You have to get a parking permit on the 2nd floor in the office area. There is a computer to the left when you walk in the office. We bought extra towels, but later was told that we could of called a number that is in the lobby area to get towels, toilet paper and paper towels. I’m not sure if that was an option for us. We just went Walmart and bought some. The light over the dinning room table does not work. The blinds over the door were a struggle. THE BEDS WERE AMAZING! I would definitely book again. Just a few minor things above but nothing that would keep us from returning.
