Nikte Ha #7 is an amazing new penthouse with wonderful views of the Caribbean Sea! This 3 bedroom luxury unit is located in the central part of Akumal's Half Moon Bay, close to La Buena Vida restaurant, and a short walk to many local amenities including Yalku Lagoon.

A great choice for families, Nikte Ha Condominiums offers modern amenities for your comfort and a central location. Nikte Ha is located on the beach of Half Moon Bay. There is a great pool and easy access to some of Akumal’s best snorkeling right front of the building.

Each unit has fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area. The units have full ocean views and ocean side terrace with dining for four. The units each have three bedrooms with lots of room for the kids to bring a friend, and still privacy for the adults. The master bedroom has a king bed an en-suite bath. Guest Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and a single sofa bed. The third bedroom is perfect for kids with a bunk bed (double and single bed) and a double trundle bed.

Akumal is a small beach community with ecologically minded locals, and two swimming bays which are the perfect home to a diversity of tropical marine life and endangered sea turtles. Akumal is located a 20 min drive from the popular resort towns of Playa del Carmen and Tulum, and just one hour south of Cancun International airport.

*Please be advised that while Nikte Ha Condominiums do have an elevator, the service is inconsistent and in no way guaranteed. Please anticipate using the stairs. Thank you!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you know Akumal, then you know that it's a laid back place to relax and live in a bathing suit, tshirt, and flip flops for a getaway. With that in mind this unit is perfect. Right in the middle of the beach so you don't have to walk too far for anything. Rent a golf cart if you don't want to hoof it to "downtown", but even that is a short walk. Meanwhile, what's on Half Moon Bay is a short stroll in either direction. The unit was clean and well stocked if you want to stay in and cook one night. It's got a washer and dryer so pack half of what you need for the week and avoid the checked bag fees. The little convenience store is literally across the street for a beer or milk run and whatever else you might need. It is also just down the street from Yal Ku which is great. You can rent a palapa there for a day and still run home if you want to grab something. The beds were comfy and provide some variety to make it work for different family configurations. The balcony is over the pool and faces the ocean, so you can wake up and stare at the ocean in the morning and keep an eye on your fellow travelers if you run up to take a break during the day. The pool is ample size. There aren't any very large pools in the area, but rest assured that the photos are accurate and not a camera trick you might find elsewhere. Akumal town and Akumal beach are changing over time, but Half Moon Bay is still a nice place to laze away the day. This condo is the best spot to do just that.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our three bedroom condo unit seven was absolutely beautiful. The kitchen was well appointed. The bedding was soft and comfortable. The pools were clean and sparkling. Beware of the elevator we got stuck in it and had to call maintenance. We were happy that someone responded. What if it happened when no one was around. That was alarming. The only negative I would give is in the master bathroom. There is one tiny light on the ceiling so putting on makeup was fairly impossible. Needs much better lighting in there. when we first arrived to check in, I went to the reception area across the street. The woman said that I was not registered and was just ready to let us go without looking into it. She finally after much urging, called her manager, and they straightened it out. We felt very safe in the community.

Breathtaking 180 degree views of Caribbean / Half Moon Bay. Watch the sunrise right from your balcony (also Venus rising at night/early morning). Primary bedroom is right off the balcony too so you are lulled to sleep at night by the soothing sounds of the ocean waves. Modernized condo with 3 nice bedrooms, each with their own full bathroom, was great set up for our family + parent in law - we were able to all stay together and have our own space. There’s also a W/D - you provide soap. The oceanside pool was a must for our family with kids who want to swim and parents who want to be at the beach! Snorkel right off the shore, easy walk to La Buena Vida, La Lunita restaurants or the new coffee stand (open mornings only). Directly across from Midway food market for any incidental needs. Maid service was excellent. Pool cleaned each morning. Highly recommend Yal Ku lagoon for incredible variety of fish and you can arrange with the Akumal Dive Shop to swim with sea turtles. We hired Chef Daveed chef service to come into the room and make dinner which was delicious and a highlight. David at Akumal Direct helped so much in arranging tours, grocery order, recommendations - whatever you need. This is truly a place where you can get away from it all and everyone is so helpful with your stay. Akumal is a very special place. Half Moon Bay is your choice if you like it a little quieter and you have the option to go into town for more action.

Great little place- lots of stairs!

I did find it very confusing that Nikte and Nikte Ha are different buildings (though they are next door to each other). We thought we were booking a room next to our friends, both on the 3rd floor but we were in different buildings. This would not have been a big deal if they elevators were working, but they weren't. One of our party was trapped in one elevator and had to call for a rescue, and the other elevator stopped working after our first day. We aren't wimps, but carrying luggage up and down 4 flights of stairs is quite difficult. Basically, we loved this property, the pools are nice and the beach is right there! But I wouldn't rent again if they don't maintain the elevator. The concierge was responsive via email, but not able to help us with this issue. I recommend getting a golf cart. The other thing to know is that this unit was cleaned daily and the lady was very nice. Know a little spanish and bring pesos, this is not a place where you can expect people to speak English or take credit cards.

Amazing spacious condo in Akumal

We stayed for a week and had a great stay in Akumal. The condo had everything we needed and we used the pool all the time. Highlight was walking on the beach outside of the condo and seeing baby turtles going out to sea.

Beautiful Location!

My family and I had an amazing time in Akumal. This property is beautiful. The spacious rooms, the cleanliness and the balcony views were amazing! The little things made it even more special, for example; having the rooms cleaned daily, having drinking water for the whole stay, the washer & dryers and a convenience store across the street. We had an incident with the elevators, but the property management and ownership were quick to check on us and make it right! THANK YOU! Overall, I truly recommend this property if you are looking for a nice, relaxing time in Akumal.

Beautiful, Quiet and Friendly

First VRBO experience for us. The property was as advertised, and beautiful. Fabulous views, very quiet street in Akumal playa, walkable to good restaurants. The staff were friendly and busy cleaning every day. Management was responsive and informative about day trips, etc. There was sargasso present on the beach but it’s everywhere anyway, and there was so much to do that it didn’t matter. The unit was clean, modern and had nice art. Bottled water was abundant and replenished regularly. People in Akumal are less touristy than most places, which makes a big difference. It was all so friendly and very, very safe. I would highly recommend this place.
