We really enjoyed our stay at this home in the Old Beach neighborhood of Virginia Beach. The location is great. Close to restaurants and the beach, but in a quiet, residential area. The house was exactly as advertised and is even nicer in person than the pictures show. Very clean throughout, a well-stocked kitchen, and plush bedding and towels. Lots of thoughtful touches like toiletries in case you forget anything and coffee pods for the keurig. The wonderful museum of contemporary art is right next door as is a very cool walking path that our children really enjoyed. Scott is a wonderful host and provided timely responses to all of our questions. Thank you for hosting us!
The house was large, clean, well-stocked, and conveniently located. The check-in and check-out instructions were clear and the owners had lots of helpful recommendations for places to go. We had no trouble sleeping 11 people very comfortably. The beach wagons were very helpful as we were able to walk our stuff to the beach! Overall a great Vrbo experience.
This house is close to everything great about Va Beach! Plenty of room for our large family in town for a wedding. Well stocked and clean too. We had a slight issue connecting to the internet and the owners we very quick to assist us.
We all loved the inside of the home! It was a quiet neighborhood and right at the end of the street. Plenty of space for all of us to hang out and play board games. Not a far walk at all to the the beach!
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was super close to where our cheer camp was. There was plenty of room for our team. The open living room and kitchen made things very spacious and made devotion time very easy. The kitchen was very nice and open which made cooking dinner and breakfast for everyone easy. It was also a quick walk to the beach and to get ice cream. Highly recommend.
This Vrbo was perfect for a reunion with friends in Virginia Beach! With 14 girls, we were unsure how the accommodations would meet our sleeping and living needs, but this spacious house was gorgeous and everyone was able to sleep comfortably. The decor was nice, there were outdoor patios on most rooms, the house was very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The host was extremely friendly and easy to get in touch with when needed and even sent my friend's towel back to her after she accidentally left it there, free of charge. So grateful we had such wonderful accommodations within walking distance to the beach. Would definitely recommend this Vrbo!
The hosts were excellent to work with! Beautiful and clean home. Close to the beach. My family had a wonderful vacation. Would definitely consider renting again!
Lovely house in a lovely area close to everything. The host were helpful and nice. The house was decorated well and yet comfortable and stocked with all sorts of household products. We felt comfortable in the neighborhood.
We rented this property with a large group of girls for a fun extended weekend get away. The space was HUGE and more than accommodating! I was Worried the sleeping arrangements would be tight but there was more than enough space. The properly was beautiful, centrally located to the beach, bars, coffee shops etc. peaceful, clean, and so much fun. Would definitely come back again. Great for large groups! They even were able to accommodate an early check in and late check out. Thank you!!!
The interior of the house looks way better than the photos! It was so nice to come back to the house after a day at the beach and hang out in such a nice, clean, and comfortable setting. Check-in and check-out were both very easy and communication with the owners was great. They were nice to grant us an early check-in as well! There are so many extra amenities in the house (soaps, lotions, toilet paper, non-perishable items in the fridge and pantry) that made our stay even easier. We loved hanging out on the front porch and watching the wildlife. 10 people fit very comfortably, there was plenty of space, and we could have fit more comfortably if needed. The trundle bed containing three separate beds was impressive and very space-efficient. We loved the larger-than-usual bunk beds as well, appropriate for kids or adults! Beds and towels were really comfortable; there were plenty of extra towels and linens/blankets. Everyone was really happy with this house, it is very well taken care of. Would recommend!
The property was perfect for a family gathering celebrating my Mom’s 75th birthday. Walking distance to the beach and boardwalk, but with ample space on the property for a mid-sized gathering.
The house was very nice, and perfect for our family vacation. Loved the quiet street and proximity to the beach (15-20 min walk,) and being right by the Museum of Contemporary Art was a great bonus! There was a glitch getting into the house, but it was swiftly dealt with. I would definitely stay here again!
Stayed here with 6 year old son, husband and 2 small dogs over Thanksgiving while visiting family in the area. The house was so nice and comfortable we even cooked and had Thanksgiving meal here. It is well decorated and the living space warm for hanging out. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable. The area is fantastic not only for restaurants but also for walking and even local playground entertainment. We hope to stay here again!
Very large, extremely comfortable home with amazing hosts! Well stocked kitchen and very close to everything. If you have a large family this is the place to stay.
This house worked perfectly for our stay. We had 10 of us come down to VA Beach for one last trip of the summer - have lots to celebrate coming up this fall across the family so it was fun to get away with friends and family.
The house is in a great location - just a couple blocks over from where 264 comes into the city, set back some from the hustle and bustle of the VA Beach oceanfront and hotels, which was great. The house is private, on a quiet street, and had plenty of parking available. 10 beds, plus a pull-out if needed, meant we all slept comfortably. The bathrooms look recently updated and were great. This is true of the kitchen too - the oversized counter space combined with the open floor plan was great for everyone to hang out together around. The appliances are also of good quality, a bonus for cooking at home!
Other positives - Harris Teeter is minutes away so I didn't feel like I needed to lug down a lot of groceries in the car. The historic Cavalier is a quick drive (~ 5 minutes away). We were also able to go up that way and easily get parking for getting onto the beach away from the hotel crowds. We were also close to some good food spots - check Bay Local for everyday brunch!
Some areas for improvement: those "nice little touches" amenities were a little lacking - there wasn't much in the way of extra TP or paper towels in the house. The bathrooms were all almost out of hand soap and the showers didn't have any guest shampoos or soaps. There's only the 1 TV and it looks about 12 years old and is a little on the small size considering the size of the living space. We didn't come to watch TV all day but it's something to consider when trying to pull up a movie at night. Some of the newly renovated things are not well installed - the dishwasher looks "off" in the kitchen, the curtain rods are about to fall off in every room, the cabinet doors of the entertainment console are crooked, the chandelier isn't centered above the dining table, and miscellaneous building pieces and equipment (brackets, screws, instructions, etc.) are scattered throughout the closets and pull out drawers. None of this really diminished the quality of our stay thought - just QOL (quality of life) details.
5 stars overall though, and I would definitely consider coming back!
Overall my friends and I had a great time! The house was gorgeous and exactly like the pictures. There was more than enough space for all 12 of us. The kitchen is beautiful and functional, we cooked most meals! It’s a reasonable walk to the beach and close to everything. Loved that the house was on a dead end.
The house is even nicer and larger than shown in the photos. Nice location at end of quiet street affords some privacy. Easy check in/out. Would definitely stay again
We rented the house for a long weekend - 3 moms and 4 young adults. The girls had been friends in childhood and it was a reconnection stay. The moms each had their own queen or king room and the “kids” shared the room with the double bunk beds. It was perfect! The house had everything we needed (except strangely no blender). We ate in, and used the grill, 2 nights and had an extravagant night out once too. Loved the location - a bit of a hike to the beach but easily doable with the beach wagon from the garage. There were bikes and beach chairs there too. The hosts graciously allowed me to bring my dog (for a small extra fee) and the neighborhood was perfect for dog walks. All in all it was a great weekend and I’d love to come back!
Convenient location to beach, restaurants, and convention center
Excellent property for a group. Within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and convention center. Quiet street. Teens loved the bikes available.
The house was perfect for our group. Plenty of space to stretch our legs and all the minor details that make these sorts of trips easy had been thought through! Highly recommend.
This house was awesome. Great location, big roomy common space on first floor, with well equipped kitchen and lots of eat-in space. 4 nice bedrooms upstairs, 2 car garage on first level. Scott and Van were perfect host for our family Thanksgiving.
Thank you for providing such a nice home for us!

About the host
Your host
This property is now professional managed by a Virginia Beach Real Estate Management company active in the coastal real estate community. Oates and Co. has a love for Virginia Beach and would like to make this your home away from home with all of the amenities and luxuries we can think of.
Why they chose this property
MOCA hosts weddings and events, the Convention Center is almost visible from the front door, beautiful bike path to the oceanfront at the driveway
What makes this property unique
This newly constructed home is a walking bridge away to MOCA, located in the heart of the resort area of Virginia Beach and close to everything including the Atlantic Ocean. Most places at the oceanfront don't have the parking; this does AND access to the bike path. This property has a 2 car garage and a very long driveway. Your kids can play in the back yard, walk the bridge & bike path with you to the beautiful park, play on the tennis courts or beach. So much to do here.
