So disappointed
There’s not enough space to adequately address all of my concerns with this property in this review. We have rented through VRBO numerous times over the years and have always been delighted with our units. I initially booked this property (for two weeks ) through VRBO, and this property also uses the local Vacasa for property management. The unit was so disheveled upon arrival that we spent a day and a half managing a mechanic and cleaners. There were still living room rugs we wouldn’t walk on because they were beyond filthy. The list of problems is too long to address in this review. We have attempted to address our numerous concerns in writing with both VRBO and Vacasa and I’m now currently in a doom loop with both those companies, with absolutely no resolution. Bottom line - do not rent this property.

Worst VRBO Ever?
I have used VRBO many times over the past 10 years or so and this was, by far, my worst experience ever. While this place looked good in the ad, it is very run down and rather poorly taken care of. Practically as soon as I got there, I had to pull the rug out of the kitchen and wash it. Unfortunately to no avail. It was stained by grease spots and really looked like it was out of a garage instead of a kitchen. The countertops in the kitchen were decades old and all worn out and scratched and looked horrible and dirty all the time. The refrigerator has a bent and rusted handle and a ice maker that did not work. 2 out of the 5 kitchen chairs were broken. I fell to the floor sitting in one for the first time. The guest bedroom en suite sink drained very slowly because of a bad drain. The bath tub floor had spots of exposed plaster. The small outside porch for the master bedroom hadn't been swept in a long time, so I had to clean it up just to sit out there. The facility that contains this place is called the Palm Springs Deauville. It's very nice. Convenient to both downtown and the convention center. Nice pools and grounds. No complaints there

Needs some upgrading
The complex was excellent. Lovely pool area, well kept grounds. The apartment was exactly as shown in photos, large, slightly dated, but unfortunately the carpet in the living room was very dirty, as was the mat in the kitchen. The kitchen furniture was uncomfortable, (some chairs were broken) and although it can sleep six, there were not enough dishes for that number of people. We did not use the dishwasher, given the lack of dishes, and there was not enough dish washing detergent available. Also, there was not enough toilet paper provided for the length of our stay - 18 days. There is a nice big balcony with a small table and chairs and a large recliner, but it overlooks the parking lot; the mattress on the recliner was thickly covered with dust, so was unusable. It needs to be taken in every night to avoid becoming dirty. We saw two other rental units which had been updated and they were in much better condition. The apartment definitely needs some TLC. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but have chosen not to rent again next year, given the dirty carpets and uncomfortable furniture.

A great place to vacation!
This rental was a great place to stay for our 2 week vacation. The location was great. It was an easy walk to Ruth Hardy park and downtown Palm Springs. We enjoyed soaking in the jacuzzi every morning. We will definitely come back!

Beautiful home, amazing customer service
The condo was beautiful and immaculately clean. We had almost everything you need for a long term stay. The pool was gorgeous, the place accessible, and location fantastic (easy walk to downtown!). It was quiet and restful. Some guests noted that it’s a bit dated; sure, but everything works fine and it looks cute. Actual areas of improvement I’d recommend: - a better kitchen outfit (no measuring spoons or cups, no hand mixer, etc) - sharpen the knives :) Also a shoutout to Vacasa’s customer service. I don’t think we’ve ever been treated with more kindness and generosity. They worked with me for unusual check in circumstances due to a surgery and were kind enough to follow up and ask about my recovery patient in the following days. They were also incredibly responsive and accommodating - everyone I interacted with was amazing, but a special shout out to Mo!

Great location - could use some care
The locations great with many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Sitting on the porch was comfortable with the rising sun warming the bones. These are substantial pluses......but The unit could use some updating and help. The window coverings are insufficient to control light at night and are fussy to work. Simple things like burned out bulbs - one of three worked in the dining area - were not addressed even after calling the individual assigned this task. Other items were like this - annoyances mostly and not deal killers.

Great location near downtown
The condo is in a gated community about 1/2 mile from Palm Canyon drive, where the shops and restaurants are. Very easy walk. The condo itself provides good value for the money. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining and living areas are just fine for four people. The bedrooms are also of nice size with each having its own bathroom. The back patio off of the master looks over the pool and central grounds. We enjoyed our stay here for a week in beautiful Palm Springs.

Great Location
The complex is very pretty, and our two bedroom is set up nicely for privacy. The unit is very dated, however. They sinks and tile have been painted over and are peeling in spots. Appliances are old, and cabinet doors are falling off under the kitchen sink. There were no dish towels in the kitchen and a motley assortment of kitchen equipment. Mismatched and not much of it. If you like to cook, this is NOT for you. If the best meal you make is reservations, stay here! Walkable to Palm Canyon Rd where most of the action is. We were here in July, not in season, so necessary to stay out of the sun, ac worked just fine.

Close to Town
The Deauville is a lovely property near to Palm Canyon Rd which is filled with trendy shops and restaurants. Our two bedroom condo had great separation of bedrooms. The condo is dated, and the kitchen poorly equipped, but if you're on vacay and want to dine out, it's not a problem. We invited friends to come for dinner and wound up ordering out as we really could not find proper equipment to cook with. Dishes and cutlery are sparse. We used World Market points to buy some placemats and napkins and left for future visitors. Kitchen towels would be a nice touch. Great AC, and place was clean.

Excellent
This is a great 2 br 2 ba condo! It is located near downtown Palm Springs (12 min on foot), 1 block from the convention center, and a short car ride from the tram! The neighborhood is quiet and slow paced. And the views from the pool are incredible! There are plenty of towels and the kitchen is stocked with what you will need for your stay! If I'm ever in Palm Springs again, I definitely hope this place is available!

Loved the Pool
Check in was easy. The location was great. The price was reasonable. The pool and grounds were beautiful. The condo was fine. I would have preferred it to be much cleaner including the patio.

This is a clean, quiet, cozy rental. It is only an 11 minute walk to downtown Palm Springs where there are shops and restaurants!! If I'm ever in the area again, I'm going to try to book this rental again.

Great location but needs some updating
The property was located in a very convenient area, close to downtown Palm Springs. The layout and amount of space were nice as well as the balcony and access to the pool and hot tub. However, the condo itself could use some updating. It seems as the place hasn't had any major renovations in the last couple of decades. Although it was comfortable enough, it was somewhat outdated. For the price, I would have expected something a bit more updated.

Lovely location and grounds, unit needs serious updating
The grounds at The Deauville are beautifully appointed and maintained. We loved our stay but were disappointed with the lack of care taken with our unit. This condo was probably lovely in its prime, but has very apparent band aids and cheap fixes. Countertops, appliances, floors (mostly very old, stained carpet) and furniture is all very worn, chipped, wobbly, ripped. Cheap towels and rugs left fuzz everywhere on us and the floor. The closet in the master bath had junk in it, including a toilet seat, picture frames and some stained pillows. The place seems neglected. For what the owner is charging, they could do some updates and buy higher quality towels for their guests. Also, we arrived at the Deauville with no information on where to find our unit or our keys. The email they supposedly sent "must have gone to SPAM". The same thing happened with our friends. We were able to get a hold of a representative who walked us through things(and was great) but my advice to vrbo/Vacasa is to have a human representative to meet folks and show them the unit, or to make sure they receive confirmation from arriving guests that they have all of the information they need when they get to their arrival. We assumed there was a main check in desk or something, and it caused undue stress after a long travel day.
