This is an old funky rustic cabin-like stay. Location to Lake Tahoe, Tahoma, and D&B Tavern is excellent. But smallish TV's in main room / family room make nighttime movie viewing less than ideal. $200/night for this older cabin is high especially when considering the outsized $150 cleaning fee. No air conditioning is fine for October, but would be tough in summer. Surprise notice just before arrival warned of electric bear field on house. It is common in Tahoe area to have this type of system, but why surprise guests just before arriving?
Was nice. Driveway very tight for full size truck. Trouble with TV service in main bedroom. Contact person slow to assist with cable company. Never resolved due to outage. Master bathroom out dated shower molding old molding. Good bedding. Frig/freezer good.
The cabin had such a nice location and it was peaceful. The two things that were of concern pointed to the bathroom and kitchen area. First, the caulking around the entire bathroom area of the tub and shower areas need to be removed and replaced with new caulking. Appears some mole is evident.
Secondly, require dishwater soap not ability. Unable to run the dishwasher. Otherwise, a great value for the money.
This property was bigger than expected - rare surprise! My family and I had a wonderful time staying here while visiting Lake Tahoe for the first time. The property had everything we needed, was clean and tidy, and we all agreed that we would stay here again.
My new favorite side of the lake! Not crazy crowded, with several close food places, concert in the park on Sat night, and only a few blocks to the lake too! Cabin is perfect for small family, we loved it. I will definitely be back!
The Charming Lake Tahoe Hideaway met all of our needs. Close to trails and destinations, great market nearby, quiet at night, easy to walk to the cafe and a couple restaurants. My only regret is that we didn't have stay enough days and nights to enjoy the bonus room.
All of the instructions were clear. The beds were comfortable. We loved the back patio and the location to the local coffee shop, Pizza place, burger place & market.
What a great place to call home for a couple days. Quintessential West Shore Tahoe cabin in a perfect location, just a short walk to the bike path, Sugar Pine, Tahoma Market and restaurants. The cabin has an eclectic layout but worked really well for us and our two teens. If you are looking for super fancy, this may not be the place for you, but if you just want a sweet neighborhood and cute place as a home base to explore Tahoe, it will be perfect.
We loved how quaint and well equipped the home was. We would have had plenty of room for our two kids and their significant others! Much larger than we thought. Would love to come back!
Really liked the location of place. The only problems we had was the wrong wifi and password and microwave did not work. Other then that it was a great place and would love to stay there again in the future.
Beautiful, quiet, wooded neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of South Lake Tahoe. While there were only two of us, four people could easily be very comfortable in the space. The cabin and the "little house" are on a very large parcel. Would definitely stay here again when I find myself in Tahoe.
Debra and the property are gems! We stayed here as a "home base" for our Tahoe adventures and were not disappointed at all. Debra was very responsive about a small hiccup during our check in process, but after that we had nothing but smooth sailing. Looking forward to coming back to Tahoe and Tahoma again!
I’ve never been to Lake Tahoe before and staying here was the best decision I’ve made. I am going to make trips yearly and this will be my place to stay. It’s super close to the lake and the cabin is so warm and cozy. Can’t wait to be back.
We have now stayed at this property two times. It is a fabulous location, we love being able to walk to a coffee shop, ride our bikes to the bike trail and drive to Emerald Bay or Tahoe City easily. The layout of the house works well for our family to spread out! The kitchen is well stocked and easy to use. We cannot wait to go back!
