About this property

LA CHAUMIERE AUX BICHES - SHEEPFOLD

Our sheepfold completely renovated in the spirit of the old and authentic will allow you to spend a pleasant stay in the heart of pastures on the heights of the Campan valley (1200m above sea level).
The accommodation capacity is 8 people. The floor is reserved for rest and is organized in a dormitory under the thatch (8 beds including 2 beds in 140 and 4 beds in 90). The ground floor constitutes a large living space. There is a living / dining room with TV, large wood stove (wood provided) and fully equipped kitchen (induction hob, microwave, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge, freezer, coffee maker, kettle , raclette machine,...). For the comfort of the occupants of the place we have arranged a bathroom and a separate toilet on each floor.
A barbecue and garden furniture are available to those who wish to take advantage of the outdoors and their peaceful surroundings.
The proximity of Lac de Payolle (5 minutes by car), Col d'Aspin and Pic du Midi offers possibilities for pleasant walks and interesting discoveries. It is also possible to hike ("Sentiers d'Emilie" in particular) or by mountain bike directly from the sheepfold.
In winter, skiers can go to La Mongie in 20 minutes and non-skiers can go snowshoeing from La Chaumière.
25 minutes by car, the city of Bagnères-de-Bigorre has developed a beautiful thermoludic and family space, "Aquensis", which will allow you to relax.

Gîte très agréable ,très bien aménagé, dortoir idéale pour notre groupe de retraités .Nous avons passé un excellent séjour . Merci à notre hôte Karine que nous n’avons pu rencontrer mais avec qui nous avons pu communiquer facilement.Son attention particulière pour notre arrivée a été très appréciée: petite dégustation de produits régionaux! Avec ou sans biches la Chaumière vaut le détour.

Un weekend parfait
Nous avons passé un excellent weekend à la chaumière. L'emplacement est idyllique et le logement vraiment top. Le poêle tire bien, les couchages sont très confortables et nous avons adoré la grande table et l'immense canapé pour nous retrouver tous ensemble. Nous avons pu voir les biches et les cerfs en prime ! Pleins de chouettes randos à faire non loin de la chaumière également. Karin a été vraiment super lors de nos échanges. Nous reviendrons avec joie ! Une note : il y a mentionné "bain à remous" dans les équipement dispo sur Abritel, mais nous ne l'avons pas vu (rien de grave !).

Un paradis de nature
Calme et beauté sont au rendez-vous dans cet écrin de nature. La maison est conviviale et confortable. Un ensemble qui offre de vrai vacances. Karin et Éric sont vraiment très attentionnés, un vrai plaisir.

Le chalet se prête très bien pour 2 familles ou groupe d'amis ou amies (dans notre cas nous étions 8 hommes (cyclistes) de plus de 60 ans pour voir les 2 étapes du tour dans les Pyrénées) tout le confort est présent, il n'y a rien à dire.

Geweldige lokatie in een sfeervol bijzonder huis
Geweldige lokatie in een leuk en fijn heringerichte schaapskooi. Echte rust vind je hier. In de schemering komen iedere avond de herten langs. Absolute stilte in de nacht. Goed werkende houtoven en goed ingerichte keuken. Onze routeplanner leidde ons even via een onverhard bosweggetje maar uiteindelijk kwamen we via een andere weg op de goede plek aan. Via een ander onverhard weggetje kom je uiteindelijk op de juiste plek.

Magique et attachant
C est de loin le plus attachant des endroits où nous sommes allés .. et cela fait plus de 10 ans que nous vadrouillons . Les biches sont nos voisines. L équipement est parfait nous n avons manqué de rien. Une mention speciale pour les propriétaires à l image de la chaumière : adorables et vraiment au top (notre plaque de cuisson est tombée en panne à 15h et bien à 19h la nouvelle était déjà montée et installée !) ce lieu s adresse aux amoureux du calme et de la nature . Mon mari a photographié les étoiles le soir sans aucune pollution lumineuse aux alentours .. nous avons franchement eu un pincement au cœur au moment du départ .. Sabine et Damien

Un petit bijou !
Petite chaumière très accueillante et très chaleureuse. Perdu au milieu des montagnes. Des levers et des couchers de soleil à vous couper le souffle. Une équipe adorable, arrangeante, hyper organisée et à l'écoute. Merci à vous Karin, Eric, Josiane et Philippe pour votre disponibilité et votre gentillesse. Je recommande vivement de passer un petit moment dans ce petit coin de paradis, même pour un week-end !

Magique !
Magique est le mot le plus approprié pour décrire le séjour que nous avons passé à la chaumière de Karin et Eric. Un intérieur chaleureux et aménagé avec goût dans une ancienne bergerie dont ils ont su garder le charme d'origine. Nous n'avons manqué de rien durant notre séjour car tout ce dont on a pu avoir besoin était là. Nous garderons des bons souvenirs de ce week end, merci encore à vous deux de nous l'avoir permis et merci de votre gentillesse (sans oublier celle de Josiane et son mari). Nous gardons votre adresse pour de prochaines vacances !
