My wife and I were looking for a place nearby with nice accommodations and lake view to celebrate her birthday for a couple of days. We have been hesitant in the past to rent a property that isn’t a house or private cabin, concerned that noise might be a problem, but on this occasion there was nothing to worry about.
The large one-bedroom not only had all the comforts of home, but also offered more peace and quiet than we could have hoped for.
Larry was kind enough to greet us upon our arrival, and was available if we had any problems or questions. We loved the recliners and flat screen T.V.’s (since it rained some during our stay) and the kitchen was very homey with every thing we needed. The large windows and deck offer a beautiful view of the lake, and some very nice walking trails are nearby that lead to a large park and boat launch area. We enjoyed the nearby restaurant/bar called “Iron Exchange” and a great little cafe called the Blackwater cafe.
Even though we had only been there a couple of nights, it felt like we had a long vacation by the time we left, and we look forward to another stay in the future.
