Hacketstown stay

We had a wonderful stay and our host Eddie was excellent and very helpful. A friendly and great person. Good location in the area for day trips. An added bonus is the grocery store right behind the house!

Great jumping off point for exploration of the Wicklow Mountains, Wicklow Gaol, Kilkenny, etc.

Spacious accommodation on the edge of town. Very short walk to pubs, grocery store and restaurant. Our host Eddie stopped in to make sure we had everything we needed, and gave us a great tip to visit Brownshill Wedge Tomb on our day trip to Kilkenny!. Well worth it!

Very clean vrbo, with amenities and pubs close by

This vrbo was centrally located to the Wicklow Mountains and Dublin. The location was very clean and spaceous. Communication with the host was great, he provided tips on how best to get into Dublin, as well as other recommendations in the area. Grocery store and pubs are a stone's throw from the location.

Great stay

The host was awesome. Met with us to give us tips of things to do. Location was great too. Within driving distance to many areas. Two pubs in town were fun and the restaurant and “take-away” restaurant had really good food. Bonus was large Super Valu right behind the house Definitely recommend this place to stay!

Spacious house close to Wicklow mountains

It is a fine house. Spatious. Full kitchen, where we could easily cook a family meal. Conveniently next door to a supermarket. The house is on a through road, but traffic becomes really light in the evening. Glendalough is only one hour away and really worh a visit.

Découverte de l'Irlande

Voyage à l'occasion d'un mariage a The Abbey, Athy, endroit magnifique... visite de Dublin, Glendalough, powerscourt garden et waterfall...5 jours c'est trop court. Attention aux routes, petites et sinueuses, on a l'impression de tourner en rond !!! Hackettown plutôt sympa, une supérette bien pratique, horaires tardifs, et deux pubs Proximité. Une préférence pour le boland's, accueil sympa, bonne ambiance locale et Guinness parfaite. Concernant la maison, très grande, super équipée, confortable...Attention aux enfants en sortant de la maison, au pied de la route...et donc un peu bruyant, passage de camions et tracteurs...Enfin, un bémol pour les salles de bain, récentes, bien équipées mais crasseuses(joints noirs moisis beurk)...

Una casa perfecta para estancias largas en familia. Situada en plena campiña irlandesa, con supermecado a dos pasos que cierra a las 10 de la noche. el propietario muy atento y super amable. Casa muy bien equipaday confortable. La recomendamos 1000x1000. :-)

Good place

Maison sympa dans un petit village de 700hab avec 2pubs et une supérette suffisamment dimensionnée. Hacketstown est bien situé pour visiter le country of Wicklow ( glendalough, avondale ...) Et Kilkenny. Dublin est aussi rapidement accessible en prenatun parc relais ay tallagh. Tous ces sites sont entre 45 et 1 heure de route.

Great base to explore beautiful surrounds

Overall a good stay and ideally located for Wicklow mountains and day trips to Dublin and Kilkenny and much else besides. House is spacious and comfortable. Though we did not have hot water for first few days the owner bent over backwards (from abroad) to get to the bottom of the problem and was generally extremely communicative and helpful, including some great recommendations for how best to spend our holiday. Would really recommend this place for families and having a car to explore is essential. Big bonus to be only about 30 metres from a well-stocked supermarket. In summary our first visit to Ireland was a success and we were really pleased with where we stayed.
