Treehouse Hideaway Villa II --Million Dollar Piton and Ocean Views

Your stay at this nature-filled, open air romantic villa puts you front and center in one of the best areas in all of St Lucia. At this enchanting treehouse, you can go to sleep and wake up to viewing the amazing Pitons and sweeping Caribbean ocean. The Treehouse Hideaway Villa II is located in a prime area, just up the road from the highly acclaimed Jade Mountain Resort and the Anse Chastanet beach, known for its excellent diving and snorkeling. The villa is also located not far from Soufriere town, a fishing village known as the jumping off point for numerous scenic activities and adventures.

This fully furnished 2 bedroom villa is your home away from home. The unique and open architecture of this villa allows you to live in the tree line and enjoy nature to its fullest. Spend hours on the open deck, enjoying the sweeping views, feeding the birds and flycatchers (birds), and dining on the expansive deck while enjoying amazing views of the Pitons.

This is the perfect villa to enjoy a special occasion such as an anniversary, birthday, or other special event, including a small wedding. If you have a larger group, you can rent the sister property next door, the Treehouse Hideaway Villa I, which sleeps 2 to 3. The two villas are separated by lush tropical gardens, ensuring that you'll have all the privacy that you need for your wonderful stay.

The owners have long time connections to the island. They spend a lot of time on the island and can help you with all of your unique planning needs. Our goal at the Treehouse villas is to make sure that you can have the perfect local experience and enjoy your stay in ways that you can't by staying at one of the resorts.

The villa comes with a complete staff that is available to make sure that you can have the best possible experience in the area. Our hospitality team at the Treehouse are dedicated to taking care of you and show you the best that St. Lucia has to offer. They can help you plan your trip and help you with booking any of the popular activities, from climbing the Gros Piton to hiking the famous Tet Paul Trail to snorkeling and diving adventures to sunset sailing around the Pitons to visiting local area artists to dinning at the top resorts, hotels, and local restaurants.

About the Treehouse Hideaway Villa II
This villa is the sister property to the Treehouse Hideaway Villa I. This villa is a complete 2 bedroom, 2 bath, open architecture home on two floors. The first floor provides a one bedroom, one bath space with open air deck that provides sweeping views of the ocean and Pitons. Your first thought when you arrive on the deck is, "I better get out my camera, take a photo of this, and post it on Instagram!"

The second floor provides a cozy 1 bedroom suite and full bath. This floor provides easy access to the lush gardens and refreshing plunge pool, a great spot to work on your tan and relax with a drink or catch up on your beach reading. Outside you can also enjoy the special outdoor shower.

On the top floor, the main bedroom features a cozy king size bed, air conditioner (if you need it), and plenty of closet space to store your clothes and belongings. The adjoining full bathroom features a large shower. In the living area you'll find a futon couch (that can also be used for sleeping) and an entertainment area that provides a smart tv, music system, and full wifi that works nicely throughout the property. The full featured kitchen provides plenty of counter space, full size fridge, oven/stove, microwave, and all the appliances you'll need including a juicer (to take advantage of all the local tropical fruits available), blender, toaster, coffee maker and grinder, and even a state of the art air fryer perfect for making fried plantains or local chicken.

The bottom floor space provides plenty of privacy for a second set of guests (friends, relatives, etc.) Here you'll find a queen size bed, a full bath, and a little working area for making coffee and warming up meals with the included induction burner. The space also provides a small fridge.

Treehouse I vs. Treehouse II
The Treehouse I villa is a little smaller than Treehouse II. It's designed for a single traveler, a couple, or a couple and a guest. The Treehouse II villa is a little larger with a top and bottom floor. It's a perfect villa for a couple or two couples, sharing a special time together. The kitchen in Treehouse II is a bit larger and futures more working space and appliances. Both Treehouse come with their own private plunge pools and the villas are separated by very lush gardens ensuring that there is maximum privacy between the villas. Both villas can be rented together to support a group of 6+, for a special stay with good friends and family.

We also now offer a grocery shopping service and a meal delivery service for our guests. You can order groceries or complete lunches and/or dinners. This is a good way to experience the excellent local cuisine.

Electricity and outlets: The Treehouse villa is wired for standard 120v and 240v. We do have ample standard 120v US outlets throughout and also UK style outlets. No need for guests to bring any adapters.

About the Owners
Keith & Cynthia, in addition to being Superhosts, have been long time guests at the Treehouses for years. When the villas become available for purchase they jumped right in and now they are happy to offer their hosting expertise to visitors to St Lucia. Both Keith & Cynthia are professional artists and are often involved with the local artists and craftspeople on the island. They love to share their experiences and contacts with all of their guests, so always ask if we can help make your trip as special as possible.

Our goal in hosting is to make sure every guest can experience all of the special things that St Lucia has to offer but we also want you to experience the island through the eyes of a local. We are always striving to make the Treehouse villas a really special place--the kind of place where our guests will want to come back over and over. Much in the way that we experienced St Lucia the first few times we visited.

The perfect getaway
We had the most wonderful time at the Treehouse! All the attention and helpful tips from the owners as we prepared for our vacation were invaluable, and Damian, the property manager, was just a gem throughout our stay! The terrace, the views, the plunge pool, the proximity to Anse Mamin were all fantastic. And to top it off, we rented our car thru Damian and the villa, and it couldn’t have worked out better. We will be back!

Beautiful Island and the Treehouse Tops it Off
St. Lucia is a beautiful Island, and Treehouse Hideaway Villa 2 was the icing on the cake. Located just above the city of Soufriere, it offers unparalleled views of sunset everyday. Secluded but close enough to activities it offers a respite for the customers to enjoy some down time if needed. They offer home cooking by the Fabulous Fabi, if you are staying there do take advantage of her talents. I recommend the Creole Chicken with full Provisions. Need to get around the island, you have two options. Treehouse has a car for rent so you can tour on your own, or their Property Manager Damian can take you anywhere on the island via taxi. Staying here is far better than being in a resort because it offers you the chance to immerse yourself in the culture and people of St. Lucia. All members of the team were responsive, professional and friendly. Our two + weeks there they were like family to us.

All About the View!
Awesome location with some of the best views you can imagine. The best part of the experience was sitting out on the deck and taking in the scenery. We also used Fabi for dinner the first night which worked out great. If you are looking for a local meal with good scenery, this is a great option. As other have noted, the road to the house is rough and you need the right rental if that your choice of transportation. We used a 4wd Jimmy that worked perfectly. They also have a vehicle for rent but we didn’t take advantage. They have a couple locals for property management, Damian and Dulice. We did not really use them but we tend to be very independent in our travels. Overall a good value and a great experience in this part of St. Lucia.

Damian is the best!!
The property is AMAZING. Everything about it we fed the birds in the morning, went to the beautiful beach and swam In the pool. Also we got the chef for the meal and she was amazing!! I would highly recommend ! No complaints at all. I do have to say Damian went above and beyond he made our stay extra special. We were sad to say goodbye to him. We will be back!!

Great views, close to the city. Great alternative to a resort if like living natively
Property was well kept. Hosts and manager where great. Bedroom had cold A/C which made it comfortable to sleep. The views of the Pitons are hard to beat anywhere. It is a like staying in the rainforest which is why we chose this spot so come prepared to watch out for misquotes.

Unbeatable View
The treck up to this property is not for the faint of heart. We did not know this coming in, so it caught us off guard: however, it was, 100% worth it. The parking situation was a bit hairy, but didn’t bother us too much. The host was not available to show us around when we arrived, so he asked someone else to do it. He did stop by the next morning to check in on us though. The pictures on this listing were what draw drew us to stay here. The real life view surpassed all of our expectations. The kitchen was very well stocked with all of the cooking supplies we needed. The beds were comfortable too!

Peaceful Getaway
Let me begin by saying that the booking process was easy. Thank you Keith for keeping in touch with us all the way up to our arrival to make sure that we were settled in. Charmaine is an asset to this property she guided and directed us during our stay. And the 1st blessing that she gave us was sending Kendy to pick us up at the airport. Kendy was our driver and guide for our entire stay. His knowledge of the island and places to eat & things to do was invaluable. He took us to a great spot to watch the sunset. The Coalpot was our favorite for a meal... they served us late because they knew Kendy. Everywhere we went everyone knew Kendy and that good will & love for him spread to us. The view from the treehouse never gets old. You have an unobstructed view of the mountains and sea. We had breakfast overlooking the Pitons every morning. Just a note about the hike to the beach. It is a 16 minute hike a straight descent on rocky ground that makes it more of a hike than a walk. My husband and I are in good shape and I dreaded the thought of having to walk back up to the villa from the beach. Someone driving by had mercy on us and gave us a lift back up to the treehouse. Anyone with mobility issues can't do the down and up from Anse Chastanet Beach. Oh FYI we didn't know this...but you are an hour and 30 minutes by ferry to Martinique. We will definitely hop there on our return. Thank you Keith, Charmaine, and Kendy for making our stay unforgettable. We will return!

Piton Paradise!
What a hidden gem! We loved our stay at Treehouse Villa 2. Charmaine was a delight and encouraged us to feed the birds on the corner of the deck so they continue to visit. The first morning I went out to the deck with my book and coffee and was either serenaded or scolded by a little finch shaped bird. It talked and talked to me until I gave it a piece of my banana and then left the peel for them to peck away at. The little guy loved it and would get so close to humans. The pool area was great - sunny in the morning and shady in the late afternoon. A great feature. Make sure you have a meal across the street at Caille Blanc - exquisite property and service. They really want advance reservations but squeezed us in our first night. Highly recommend a 4X4 vehicle for the road. The worst part was at the beginning and then it leveled out. We made it up on the second try! Snorkeling at Anse Chastenet and the Soufriere Beach were both good with the Soufriere Beach being better. Swim along the shore starting from the dighy pier. Lots of fish and lobsters to observe. The schools of little silver fish just seem to follow you and are quite used to snorkelers. It's also a great beach for collecting seaglass. I left some behind on the art wall for the collection. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise!

Perfection
My husband and I had the most perfect stay at Treehouse 2. We loved that it sat up higher above the trees and could see clearly both pitons and sunsets daily. Having access to staff (hospitality manager Charmaine and driver Clavie) was the perfect mix of on our own but with some help when needed. We searched long and hard where to stay and decided on this place for: Location- close to ask the major attractions and wanted to do hiking, waterfalls, etc but also some beach time. The Soufriere area is like a postcard! Price- a fraction of the resorts down the road for the same view Amenities- plunge pool was so nice to cool off, AC in bedroom was welcomed to get good night's sleep and relief from humidity. Snorkle gear, beach chairs, and cooler backpack were so nice to have. Fully stocked kitchen supplies and US outlets were just a bonus. Favorite things in the area were Superman falls (mud there to do the mud bath experience), Botanical Gardens, Hotel Chocolat tour, beach day at Anse Mamin, and Mystic Man sunset. Meals at Island Chef and Treetop at Crystals. Tips for travelers: bring more cash than you think you need and hiking sandals for hikes or walking the hills. Consider renting a car (we did for 4 of the 8 days) you get used to the roads and are able to explore off the beaten path places! If you are on the fence, book it you don't regret it!

Stunning and relaxing!
Pretty much agree with most other reviews ! Beautifully and interestingly decorated and well equipped house, the balcony has stunning views of the surrounding area and we spent several evenings just sitting watching glorious sunsets. Communication with owner and house manager was easy and they were at all times helpful and provided timely and accurate information and Charmaine cooked us a lovely meal on our last evening..It is quite remote which is part of it's charm the only downside being that the "roads" to and from town and the beach were more challenging on foot than we had imagined so you just have to bite the bullet and take a taxi for most journeys . Local rates are not inexpensive ( 30 USD for 10 minute return journey to beach ) but drivers ( we used Clavie and his sidekick Damien)were easy to communicate with, reliable ,prompt and helpful so you do get good service for your money ! Can thoroughly recommend the property to others .

Amazing Treehouse Villa
We just spent a week at Treehouse Villa and it was wonderful! The view from the deck is stunning, pictures don’t do it justice. The villa is beautifully decorated with local art and very comfortable. We spent most of the time that we were at the villa out on the deck, soaking in the view. The pool was nice for relaxing after spending the day out and about. Charmaine was extremely helpful, and communication was excellent. She made dinner for us the first night which was very helpful and it was delicious. We did have to have the nurse come to the villa to do our exit Covid test, which is very pricey and you have to pay with cash. We rented a car, and the road leading up to the villa is scary, but drivable. We were glad that we had gotten the car. In general, we had an excellent experience and loved the villa and the island.

Fabulous location and stay
We had a short 2 night stay that was very enjoyable! The up front communication from the owners was very detailed and helpful. They were also quick to respond to any questions. I can't say enough about the local property manager, Charmaine. She met us on arrival in order to walk us through the property. In the short time we were there she also helped arrange transportation to Orlando's for dinner and Anse Chastenet beach. We ordered lunch and dinner from her and the food was great (in addition to there being plenty for leftover meals). She was quick to respond to questions/requests. The views from the villa are as advertised and amazing!! We are frequent (annual) visitors to St Lucia and a bucket list item for us was staying somewhere with a view of the Pitons - mission accomplished. The back deck provides a lovely panoramic view of the Pitons and Caribbean Sea, nothing short of breathtaking! Even though we didn't self cater much (outside of making coffee, local cocoa tea, and warming up leftovers) the villa kitchen was well appointed. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and toiletries. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom A.C. felt magnificent after a hot day at the beach. We didn't utilize the tv or owner provided cell phones (great touch!) but they are available. For US travelers there are plenty of "normal" outlets and a power strip provided. We enjoyed using the salt water plunge pool to relax and take in the local trees/plants. The drive to the villa is not directionally hard, but is interesting due to a narrow road. If driving yourself you'll want to have a vehicle with a relatively high clearance. We had a rental car, but after getting parked we utilized a local driver (Courtney) or Charmain for our trips to into Soufriere and to Anse Chastenet. Round trip to either place was around $20-$25US, but it was worth it for us to not have to drive up after dark and/or after a few Piton beers. :-) We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend booking here!

Treehouse Villa II - what a gem!
Our stay at Treehouse Villa II (upper and lower floors) was fantastic! Keith, the owner, was quick to respond and a great communicator. He gave us tips on where to buy groceries, rent a car, and helped us set up the Covid exit antigen tests. Charmaine, the property host, was available to help out with any and all questions. She was attentive and kept the house well stocked with dishes, 100% cotton linens, drinking water, and electronics (there are even U.S. type A and local type G wall outlets). She scheduled the nurse to come to the villa to take our antigen tests and delivered the required certificates in the morning so we did not have to go hunting for a location in town. The villa is amazing! The plunge pool is cool, deep, and very clean. A lovely brick patio surrounds the pool, with sunning chairs and an outdoor shower. The landscaping is lush, clearly someone spends time adding and tending to the extensive variety of plants that attract loads of birds. Getting to the beach is easy; one can either walk or drive to close by Anse Castanet Beach which has a sandy beach and pretty good snorkeling – one can walk an additional 150+/- yards to Anse Mamin Beach, a lovely and peaceful sandy beach. It’s a short drive back down to the town of Soufriere (local market) and public beach where Action Adventure Divers, with a certified Padi dive instructor, is laid back, simple, and safe - Chester was a great guide who took us to two excellent boat dive locations very near by with loads of fish and coral species to enjoy. The property has a full size gas BBQ. We ate all of our meals on the covered upper deck while listening to and watching the birds, and gazing at the ocean view and gorgeous sunsets. Of note, the access road is not far below the house so you will hear vehicles coming and going during business hours - but you will not hear barking dogs, goats, or roosters! We loved out stay at Treehouse Villa II and hope to return. Angie and Jerry from Whidbey Island Washington

Perfect Paradise Get Away
We had a magnificent time unwinding for 10 days at the Tree House Villa II. The communication with Keith leading up to the trip was prompt and detailed. Once we arrived Charmaine and Chrisel made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The villa was clean, well appointed for cooking in and in a great location for a home base to explore the south of the island. The view from the spacious deck was magnificent and we enjoyed winding down each day with a rum punch as the sun set over the ocean and the bats began to take flight. Charmaine’s creole fish and salt fish with green figs was by far one of best meals of the week! We enjoyed going across the street to nice small hotel/restaurant for cocktails, salt cod fritters and lambi (curried conch). Enjoyed the roti from Fedo’s and Malgretoute Beach. Stay away from Orlando’s, it was bland and laughable that he thought it should be a tasting menu. From not being able to make basic cocktails, to bringing in a camera crew in middle of dinner unannounced, it was one of the oddest and most unpleasant dining experiences I’ve had in my travels. The jeep rental was a huge plus to get around on our own schedule. The roads were an adventure but fine once you got used to them and took your time. Also, would suggest having a nurse come to villa for rapid covid test prior to leaving. We were setup at the lab in town but when we got there they didn’t get their test kit delivery that day. You are also in a waiting room with a lot of people waiting to get tested, so definitely recommend paying a little more and having it done on-site. All in all, it was an amazing trip made extra special by the wonderful owners and hostesses’.

Beautiful views of the pitons
Charmaine made our stay so easy. She is wonderful. The bedrooms have AC while the living room/ kitchen does not. ( many villas in Saint Lucia do not have AC) we really appreciated having a cool bedroom to sleep in, since on other trips to other villas we struggled with being too warm. Please note that the road to get there is not for the faint of heart!! I have traveled all over the island. And it is a scary road. But it’s worth it. The views, and the peace and quiet are lovely. The anse chastanet beach is 7/10 of a mile away. It is lovely and you can rent a hut roofed set of two chairs for 60 a day.

Important Information to know!
We were disappointed the week prior to arriving because the owners did not tell us about the 7pm curfew or the COVID restrictions until it was too late to cancel. I think you should know all the information before you book! The treehouse villa is nice, has great views and has what you need for the week. The walk down to Hummingbird beach is around a mile down a pretty steep hill. The beach is okay but it has great views and the locals who are there daily are very friendly. Some of the better beaches are not accessible due to COVID which was disappointing. We could not rent a car which was also disappointing. The drivers charged us a lot of money and I think more than usual to make up for lost money due to COVID. We were told we had to have a driver to go everywhere but we found that the locals in Soufriere were glad to have us and did mind us walking through town and going grocery shopping, farmers market shopping, etc. Even the police waved at us. As long as you wear your mask in town you can go anywhere. The curfew is 7pm which was not great but you can still go to other resorts to eat as long as you make it there by 7 pm. We went to the Ladera and Hotel Chocolat restaurants and thought they were good but not great for the amount you spend. We did enjoy Calle Blanc restaurant which is in walking distance from the treehouse. I recommend you talk to the locals and arrange tours through them and not Charmaine. Charmaine quoted us a boat tour that was four times the amount we paid after walking to the tour company and arranging it ourselves. Due to the lack of tourist prices are negotiable. We were able to partner with our neighbors in the other treehouse to share tours and car rides. Also, I recommend you grocery shop on your own so you know what your getting. I also recommend you call to make your own dinner reservations so you can ensure they are made then let Charmaine know as an FYI. I recommend chartering a catamaran or boat to go Marigot Bay and to see some of the nice resort beaches. I thought the best snorkeling was at Sugar Beach. The Gros Piton hike is not hard but a nice workout with great views at the end. We loved the mud bath and sulpher springs as well. Do both the hike and the springs in the same day as they are close to each other. We would definitely visit St. Lucia again!

Keith & Cynthia, in addition to being Superhosts, have been long time guests at the Treehouses for years. When the villas become available for purchase they jumped right in and now they are happy to offer tyheir hosting expertise to visitors to St Lucia. Both Keith & Cynthia are professional artists and are often involved with the local artists and craftspeople on the island. They love to share their experiences and contacts with their guests, so feel free to ask for any local area tips.

Our goal in hosting is to make sure every guest can enjoy all of the special things that St Lucia has to offer. We also want you to experience the island through the eyes of a local. We are always striving to make the Treehouse villas a special place--the kind of home away from home where our guests will want to come back to--much in the way that we experience St Lucia every time we come to stay.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property because we have been staying here for many years. It's been our home away from home whenever we come to the island. Even though we were in the process of building a home out of shipping containers in the Choiseul quarter (near the base of the Gros Piton), the Treehouse villas become available so we took the plunge.

The people the location, the open air environment, and the amazing views are what keeps us coming back year after year. The staff who works here has become our family and this has become our family business and home.

What makes this property unique

* The views, the views, the views for starters.

* The staff: At the treehouse villas, we also believe we have one of the best hospitality teams in the area. Our Hospitality Manager, Charmaine, has over two decades of experience working for the top hotels and resorts in the area. Rounding out the team is John, our master gardener who lovingly takes care of the lush grounds, and nurtures the plantings.
* The location: We offer an authentic, beautiful property in the neighborhood of multi-million dollar homes and exclusive resorts like Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet. Two of the best beaches on the island, Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin, are within walking distance. You can even walk to town if you don't mid the twisty road and steep hills.

* Special features: Private plunge pools, spacious decks, panoramic Piton and ocean views, private chef available, snorkeling gear, stocked kitchen, assistance with activities and value added bookings, guided tours and Piton hikes, other services include massage and beauty services, or special event planning.
