Beautiful cabin on Abanakee Lake. Wonderful porch, balcony with lake view, pool table for rainy day entertainment, and great firepit area. Lake perfect for kayaking/canoeing/fishing. A bit shallow & weedy for swimming.
We had a great time as a family here! It can be hard to find things that will bring a wide range of ages together...but the pool table helped us all bond ❤️ From the grandma in her 70s to the kids in high school, we will all remember this week with love!
The house and location were amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were only an email away if we had any questions. Very quick to respond. The kayaks and canoe were a huge bonus!
We had a nice week while renting this property. The house has a rustic feel but is nicely decorated. It includes most(if not more) of the amenities needed when in a rental home. We enjoyed spending time in the screened in porch and we enjoyed being next to the lake. We enjoyed paddling and my daughter caught a few sunnies and a pike from the dock. Overall, a great experience.
Loved sitting on the front porch watching the sunset over the lake. The property was a nice mix of being rustic enough to really make you feel like you were in the Adirondacks, while still providing all the comforts of home. Also, the owners were responsive and helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at this property. It has wonderful amenities that satisfy every age group. The house is adorable with all of the Adirondack charm & character. We loved it! We were out on the lake every day kayaking & fishing. There are lots of fish in the lake, as the kids discovered when fishing. We also enjoyed having beautiful sunset camp fires right next to the lake. We did 2 amazing hikes that were close by, Chimney mountain & Blue Mountain. We highly recommend both, for those up to the challenge. It was a wonderful escape from the city life, much needed time to unplug! We definitely want to come back to stay at this awesome property!
the only downside was there are not any fish in this lake, many people we asked said no one has caught anything in years
