Historic apartment in the medieval center of Ferrara

House Giulio is a bright and spacious newly renovated apartment in the medieval heart of Ferrara. Located on the first floor of a typical house of Ferrara, in the limited traffic zone and away from the city noise, the apartment consists of three rooms + services: large bedroom with a double bed, living room with sofa bed 2 places, large kitchen kitchen and bathroom with shower. In addition ', features an exclusive outdoor terrace of 30 square meters overlooking the characteristic Via Fondobanchetto, to enjoy pleasant breakfasts and dinners or just relaxing at best.

The house is located in the most 'north of the ancient Castrum fortified, economic and political nucleus of Ferrara, built by the Byzantines in the sixth century. C. From historical research, you can 'say that traces of human settlements in this position of Via Fondobanchetto date back to around the X / XI century. c. The portal of the house, built in 1500, carries traces of ancient inscriptions whose meaning is "I enjoy this ... and hope for the better," attributed to this Bonfiol Julius Caesar, whose signature appears on the capital left. For this reason, more than 100 years the house it was declared by the Superintendence for Fine Arts in Ferrara.

House Giulio is therefore ideally placed to reach, within a few minutes walk, all places piu'interessanti of Ferrara, such as the Estense Castle, the Cathedral, Palazzo Schifanoia and in general all the historical center, where the 'apartment is located.

A great month in Ferrara
We have just spent a really memorable month in Ferrara. Our stay in Casa Giulio was fantastic, and Enrico was such a helpful host, giving us all sorts of tips about the must-see places in and around Ferrara. We got to most, but a month didn’t seem to be enough time! Casa Giulio is extremely comfortable and really well located, just a simple stroll down the lively Vie Saraceno and Mazzini into the heart of town. Plenty of eating options close by and a well-equipped kitchen if you want to stay in. We highly recommend a stay.

We had a week in Enrico’s apartment in Ferrara, the location is excellent, very quiet, mainly because Ferrara is a ‘no traffic’ area except for resident cars and bikes. It’s a lovely town, easy to get around without a car, 1/2 walk to the Station. Apartment was ‘as listed’ lovely big bedroom, kitchen good, great to have a washing machine for a longer stay, lounge area would be a bit tight for four adults, ok for kids, and it would have been nice to have just a couple of ‘condiments’ like Olive Oil, and Vinegar, Enrico very helpful with suggestions for restaurants.

A lovely place to stay
The apartment was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was clean and spacious. It is situated in the old part of Ferrara close to bars restaurants & shops. The host, Enrico, was very friendly & helpful & I felt that if needed I could ask for assistance (as I was travelling alone).

Live Like an Italian!
We spent a month in Ferrara and we were sad to leave. The apartment was spacious, clean and the layout was perfect for our stay. The deck is a definite attraction! Enrico was the perfect landlord, available anytime we needed hhim.

Beautiful stay in Ferrara
Beautiful stay at the centrally located apartment in ferrara. Fantastic terrace to relax and have a spritz and 10 min walk to the centre. Host was lovely and very friendly. Was able to check in earlier than stated and met us at the property and showed us around. Free car parking, about a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Would definitely recommend staying here and will be back again!

Neugierig auf Ferrara ?!
Wir waren 10 Tage in Ferrara, ohne Auto.. Die Wohnung ist sehr ruhig und liegt im verkehrsberuhigten Altstadtviertel von Ferrara, doch in der Nähe des lebendigen Alltags der einheimischen Bevölkerung mit vielen Lokalen und Geschäften..Wir haben das vielseitige kulturelle Angebot von F. genutzt,und sind mit der Bahn nach Ravenna und Bologna (gute, preisgünstige Verkehrsanbindungen) gefahren. Eindrücke ganz anderer Art haben sich auf einer Radtour zum Po mit gemieteten e-bikes ergeben. Ein gelungener Aufenthalt mit vielen Eindrücken und Erfahrungen. . I.Wenk, April2024

Réservez sans hésiter !
Nous ne pouvons que chaudement recommander cet appartement idéalement situé dans Ferrare, dans une rue calme à proximité de nombreux restaurants et magasins et à 10 minutes de marche du centre. L'appartement est spacieux, confortable et très lumineux. Il est également très bien équipé : tout ce dont nous pouvions avoir besoin y était, parapluies y compris ! Vu la saison, nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la terrasse mais elle est très belle elle aussi. Un grand merci à Enrico pour son accueil, sa gentillesse et sa réactivité.

Esperienza fantastica e da ripetere
L'appartamento si trova in una zona splendida di Ferrara, nel cuore del centro storico medievale. Si tratta di un'area a traffico limitato, quindi molto tranquilla e silenziosa, dalla quale si giunge comodamente alla piazza del duomo. L'alloggio è esattamente come lo si vede nell'annuncio e tutto è curato in maniera ineccepibile. Il proprietario, gentilissimo e molto disponibile, contribuisce a far sentire gli ospiti come se fossero a casa. Abbiamo vissuto una bellissima esperienza che abbiamo intenzione di ripetere anche in futuro.

Außergewöhnlich gut und schön
Die Wohnung von Enrico ist klasse. Von Enricoe wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen. Er hat uns die Wohnung gezeigt und alles erklärt. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber. Sie ist nicht so voll gestellt. Alles was wir benötigten, auch in der Küche, war da. Das Inventar und die Küchenutensilien haben eine gute Qualität. Der Balkon, mit viel Sonneneinfall, ist super. Die beiden Fahrräder, die zur Wohnung gehören, konnten wir gut für unsere kleinen Ausflüge gebrauchen. Die Lage der Wohnung ist hervorragend. Einerseits liegt sie ruhig, andererseits ist es nicht weit in das wunderschöne Zentrum von Ferrara. Auf den Weg ins Zentrum kann man schon in die ersten Cafes etc. einkehren. Einfach wunderschön! Mit dem Zug konnten wir von Ferrara aus schöne Ausflüge nach Ravenna oder Venedig usw, machen.

Charming Apartment in Ferrara
Enrico's apartment was perfect for our needs: very clean, well equipped, airy with a lovely shaded terrace that was a godsend in the hot weather we had. Situated in a quiet area on the edge of the pedestrian zone, a ten minute taxi ride from the station, it is an excellent base for exploring Ferrara's historical centre, museums and galleries and also very well placed for restaurants and shops. Enrico was extremely helpful with advice both before and during our visit. Un hospite molto simpatico! We would certainly re-visit.

Wonderful apartment with rooftop patio! Well equipped with everything you might need. We even made dinner one night in apartment and sat on patio. Convenient to everything. Great restaurants down the street, museums close by. Bicycles were supplied and they made it easy to get around. Our hosts were extremely helpful, a delightful couple! Eine wundervolle kleine Wohnung
Der Kontakt mit Enrico war sehr nett,zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Um Ferrara und die Umgebung zu entdecken ist es genau die richtige Lage der Wohnung. Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet,es fehlt an nichts und die Sauberkeit ist wirklich sehr gut. Es ist ruhig, aber nah um entspannt etwas zu essen oder einen Kaffee auf die schnelle zu trinken. Ich würde es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.Grazie Enrico
