Our family has stayed in Wailea quite a bit, and this is one of the nicest units we have stayed in, resorts included. Having a washer and dryer is an awesome addition during an extended stay in Hawaii. The pool and gated community were great, the view awesome, and the location superb. We would defiantly stay again.
We had a great stay at Ho'olei. Loved the unit, location and amenities. Ho'olei is great for families. Its hard to find 3 bedroom units anywhere on Maui. The pool is fantastic, the beach is close and so are lots of great restaurants. I would definitely recommend renting this unit. Briana was amazing and very helpful.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo. The view was amazing and the furnishings were updated and comfortable. The lanai was a great place to hang out with family, bbq, and watch the sunset. Appreciated that there were plenty of beach chairs and towels to take to the beach.
This was a great spot for our extended family of 8 to stay for half the week. Loved all the space and great location to easily visit beaches and other parts of the island, with relaxing spot to come home to at the end of the day. Great pool area too!
The view from this property is spectacular. My family enjoyed the Wailea location and would absolutely choose this spot again. The kitchen is well stocked and the mattresses are very comfortable!
It was such a pleasure staying together in a space large enough for all of us. We enjoyed the location which allowed for a quick walk to the beach as well as shopping and dining.
Perfect location for our family vacation. We enjoyed the pool, gym and the short walk to the beach.
Only struggle was the Wi-Fi did t work for us even with the password and the back rooms didn't have cell service.
Great experience. Perfect location - very close to pool and short walk to beach. Unit as advertised - well maintained, well stocked kitchen, nicely appointed place.
Closet in garage had beach chairs/umbrellas/snorkels and masks. One umbrella broken but everything else was in good condition.
Very nice pool area. We will certainly stay here next time we travel to Maui.
We had three families together for a little over a couple of weeks here. It is large and spacious, with plenty of amenities. The view is fantastic. We saw whales almost every day from the deck. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the elevator is very helpful for older folks. The pool area is nice and clean, and we never had a problem getting seats. I would definitely recommend it for large families or groups of friends.
Property was pictured very accurately although I do not think the pictures do the lanai area justice! That feature was the crown jewel of the unit! The views were awesome and the open air concept with the slide back doors really made the setting extra special. The unit is very well equipped and very comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to beaches, shops and restaurants. The pool area is very relaxing and simply beautiful. Book now. You won't be sorry.
We just spent 5 days enjoying a family vacation at this amazing property. Beautiful location with a large patio view of the ocean and amazing sunsets. The management was very responsive to questions. Well stocked kitchen for cooking meals for a large group and plenty of household sundries to last our whole visit. The pool area with two hot tubs and proximity to walk to the beach were a big plus for our family.
Great place to stay. Beautiful ocean views from balcony, kitchen, and living room. Lots of space for our family of five. Teenage sons used the elevator a bit too much :). Easy access to all Wailea has to offer. Nice pool on property and an easy 3-5 minute walk to the beach. Great to have laundry available too
Our family was celebrating some milestone birthday's this year and we decided to book Maui to celebrate. This unit was exactly what we were wanting for our family of 7. Plenty of space and in a great location.
Loved this place! Great location. Very quiet. Beautiful. We have always stayed at the Kea Lani just down the street and will never do it again. This place was perfect for our family. Everything was as described. Thank you!
Amazing views and luxury location! The size of the property was plenty of room for our family of 7 (3 adult couples and 1 single adult) and 2 rental SUVs. It gave everyone enough room for privacy and the common areas were big enough for everyone to gather comfortably. Chelsea was very detailed with the accommodation information like check in, entry codes, and all the necessities. We never had to reach out for any questions or issues. I would highly recommend especially if it’s your first time in Maui :)
Our stay at Hoolei was exactly what we were looking for. It was great to have a quiet space that felt like home after hiking, snorkeling, and exploring Maui. The unit is very well stocked for the days we decided to cook. We loved that restaurants were within walking distance as well. We loved opening the door to the lanai which made it feel like being outside. The sunsets from this unit were terrific. Our family of 6 had enough space to socialize and to break away from one another. We would definitely stay here again.
We booked 31-2 unit because we needed 3bedrooms and baths. With our son, daughter in law and granddaughter, we wanted a place with plenty of space and this unit certainly satisfied that. It is in a great location across from the Grand Wailea up on the hillside, which provided magnificent views. Pool facilities and fitness center were outstanding . Kitchen was fantastic and had all the equipment and space we needed.
Bedrooms were spacious and each had own bathroom, plus a half bath off the living area.
There are a few minor criticisms: shower in second downstairs bedroom needs attention . Leaks. While the bed in the master suite is attractive, it is actually dangerous. It is so high that both my husband and I had to use a step stool to get in and out. Not surprising for me, at barely 5 ft. But husband is 5’9 and even he had trouble. Ac was a bit of a challenge until maintenance man told us the upstairs bedroom is controlled by downstairs thermostat. Go figure.
Furniture is a bit dated but comfortable. All in all a great place for our vacation.
My family of 6-3 adult couples each got their own room and bathroom. I do caution, one bedroom is far less than the others. There is a master and another bedroom on the ground floor, the master is very spacious! It has a huge bathroom you walk through to get to a walk in closet. There is ample storage and dressers and the toilet is in its own room in the bathroom. The other bedroom is small, no dresser or real storage. One of the handles on the side table had a zip tie as a replacement for the pull. The bathroom is small and has no storage area at all. Its shower also needs to be updated and their is signs of mold. Both bedrooms have a slide door to a covered porch- none of us used it. It was very shaded and had a view of hedges. To tackle the bedroom issue, we actually rotated bedrooms so no one had the subpar room. If you are travelling with kids it is just fine for them. Also on the ground level when you walk through the garage is the washer/dryer stack, a sink, and cabinets. There was already detergent there but we bought our own brand and left it so I am assuming there is always some available if you just arrive. The upstairs kitchen is what makes this place!!! Great fridge, oven, stove top! Not to mention a grill on the lanai. We learned the hard way....if you are grilling on the lanai make sure the lanai ceiling fans are OFF. This seems counterintuitive but when the fans were on it just kept the smoke on the lanai and my husband who smelled like bbq for days...but when we turned off thw fans the smoke was so much better. Only issue with lanai is birds come do their business off the railing and lanai furniture- so look before you lean, walk, or sit. Back to the kitchen...there are several coffee makers; traditional drip and Keurig. There were already k cups there, we ended up buying more and leaving them so I also assume there will be some for the next group. There are tons of pots/pans, dishes, cups etc. There is a toaster, a blender (meh- our vitamix has spoiled us and so hard to go back to a Hamilton beach), and there are some condiments already there. Would have loved if there had been a rice cooker, but there was not so had to make it old school.
When entering the property, take a left onto the circle and you will drive up a hill (pool with its own parking lot on the left) take your first right, 3rd 4 plex on the right
To improve- touch up paint, address some mold, broken shower heads, pulls on dressers, storage in 3rd bed/bath
I also rent out two other units at the Wailea Beach Villas property. If you are looking for multiple units please let me know. I had one other unit at Hoolei a couple years but we decided to stop renting and only use for personal use until we sold the unit in 2018. This unit was managed in the past buy a vacation rental company but I decided to take over the management of the unit personally. If you are concerned about the lack of reviews please take a look at my other vrbo listings for reviews on the service I provide. Listing #335883 and #772043
