Kick back and enjoy the thoughtful touches of our updated Fern Hill Cabin! With an excellent location just a short 10-20 minute drive to Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, and Old Man’s Cave you’re close to stunning Hocking Hills attractions. Or you can simply explore the 38 -acre property. Amenities include: hot tub, gas fireplace, outdoor fire pit patio, 2 player arcade game, Wifi, & fully equipped kitchen. Comfortably sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths. Guests and dogs love staying with us! Newly updated furnishings so your stay is comfortable and carefree. Please note, there is a spiral staircase from the upper to the lower level. Our charming cabin offers great perks being close to Hocking Hills attractions and some trails on our property to enjoy as well!

The cabin has an upper level that hosts the fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a cozy fireplace area perfect for reading a book! There is a main full bath on the upper level and also 2 bedrooms, one queen with an ensuite half bath, and one full bedroom.

Down the spiral staircase to the lower level you have a large living room area with a 65" smart TV, a 2 player arcade game, board games and puzzles in the hall closet and a sliding barn door to close it off from the upstairs if you so choose. There is also a large third bedroom on the lower level with a queen bed and a full bathroom is available on the lower level as well.

Outside you have a number options: a deck off the upper level great for a morning coffee, a hot tub, a firepit patio area, a large yard great for getting energy out of dogs or children, a wonderful patio out back that has a outdoor dining table and a charcoal grill and last but not least, our woods have trails for exploring as well and highlight the beauty of nature! Our dog loves visiting the cabin, exploring the yard, relaxing on the deck, and sniffing everything possible along the trails!

The pet fee is a per dog fee. Additional dogs require an additional charge.

Cozy Stay in the Woods

We loved our stay at Fern Hill! The house is exactly as pictured and was spotlessly clean. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms have been nicely updated (and have great water pressure). During the day, we enjoyed exploring the trails on the property when we weren't visiting Hocking Hills. In the evening, we hung out downstairs watching basketball and playing in the cozy living room. The host was very responsive to our questions and made us feel welcome - we will definitely visit again! (One last thing- we did find a couple of deer ticks on our dog and kids, so make sure to pack bug spray and check yourselves before you come inside!)

Absolutely perfect girls weekend getaway!

We had the most perfect stay at this cabin - it was roomy, cozy, warm, and equipped with everything we could need. It felt very clean and homey and not like a rental. Zero complaints - would definitely return to this cabin if we do another weekend in Hocking Hills.

Had a great time. Loved the location of the hot tub. The spiral staircase in the house is good for small dogs, my German shepherd had to use the stairs outside to go up and down lol, so just be aware if you have big dogs! Very nice cabin, very clean!! Beds are super comfy!

The Great Escape

This cozy cabin invites one to unwind and immerse oneself in the sights and sounds of nature. We discovered that moving bulky bags up a spiral staircase requires some contemplation. It is a nice, isolated location for connecting with family.

Fall girls trip

My girlfriends and I Went to Hocking Hills and saw all the sites and enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It had everything we needed and the listing was just as it stated. The weather was a little soggy, but we always manage to have a good time. Laura and Rory were quick and easy to communicate with, and we had a great time ! Would definitely recommend their property.

Great Stay in Hocking Hills

This property was perfect for our group of 6 and a dog. It was clean, spacious, and just as advertised. The kitchen was well-equipped. The fire pit was a favorite of the group. Make sure to get some wood at one of the many wood stations along the road. Make sue to get your own charcoal. We have no complaints, and can highly recommend this excellent cabin.

Family Get Away with Dogs

We loved the look of the cabin and the secluded location. The ammenities wer exceptional. The only thing I would consider is a map for the trails on site. One was not passable and many leads offs from the main trails were dead ends. It was quite confusing. Also, the AC unit kicking on and off was extremely loud and frightened both dogs each time. It sounds like the duct work is not secured.

Rory and I live in Columbus, Ohio but we both grew up with woods to run in and when we got the opportunity to own a cabin we jumped at the chance. We love being able to escape to the cabin on a weekend to unwind and relax and we love recharging out in nature. We also love traveling in general as well as a good glass of wine and some delicious food. We hope you enjoy Fern Hill as much as we have grown to love it.

Fern Hill is a great mix of being secluded and private while also being close to places we can hike that are outstandingly beautiful .We love having woods of our own to walk in with our dog and sitting out on the deck soaking up the afternoon sun.
