Enjoy all that Brevard and the surrounding area has to offer from this easily accessible location! This 2 bed, 1 bath cottage is only a 15 minute walk to Main Street, where you can stroll past the shops, library and restaurants without the need to drive or find parking.

Our quaint home is fully furnished and has all the necessities for your mountain getaway. The kitchen is stocked with all the appliances, cookware and tableware needed, and there is a propane grill out back. Our renovated bathroom provides great lighting and all the modern comforts of home with plenty of storage for toiletries. The dining area seats four and is perfect for a home cooked meal or playing board games. The living room has ample space to sit and read or watch your shows on the smart TV. Each bedroom contains basic furnishings including a dresser, nightstand and closet for storage.

Whether it's an adventure filled vacation, or a relaxing getaway, Brevard and nearby Asheville has something exciting for you! Music, arts, golfing, hiking, biking and fishing are all within reach from this beautiful little town; and the area isn't called "The Land of Waterfalls" for nothing! Be sure to check out all that Transylvania County has to offer including the many breweries.

2 Night Stay in Brevard

We booked a weekend trip to Brevard and this house was in a nice quiet neighborhood just under a mile walk from downtown. Most of our time was spent hiking or exploring the town, but the home was very clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway! Graham was very easy to communicate with and made the whole rental process a breeze. I would gladly book this again for a weekend trip to the mountains.

Cozy cottage, great location

Month-long stay

We stayed in this house for a month while we searched for a long-term rental in town. This was in a great location as far as proximity to town. A quiet street and within walking distance. Well-stocked and clean.

Cozy & Comfotable

This was probably one of my best experiences with staying in a property like this! The house was extremely clean, decorated enough to feel like a home away from home. Graham was easy to communicate with! Overall it was an excellent experience and I would definitely stay there again!

Especially responsive owner!

The house was exactly as advertised and just right for our hiking holiday around Brevard. Graham was especially responsive to our needs making sure arrangements were just right for our stay. I've stayed in many many VRBO homes over the years but have seldom had such an easy time communicating with an owner.

Perfect in-town mountain getaway

This lovely Maple Street home has all the personal touches for the most comfortable stay. It's a lovely walk to the Brevard library and all the great shops and restaurants. The newly renovated bathroom is great. This is the perfect home base to access Pisgah and Dupont for gorgeous mountain bike rides and hikes. The property manager is wonderful as well. Cozy Cottage

Squirrel Cottage was awesome. There was absolutely nothing I needed that wasn't there. The house was exceptionally clean and included all natural products from a local company, a real plus. During this time of year, the sun poured into the house all day!!! I am an older female alone and this neighborhood seemed very safe, and it certainly was very quiet. Graham was so responsive. However, after the initial contact I did not need to be in contact with him as nothing went wrong and I was not in need of anything. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

Wonderful 2BD near downtown Brevard

My wife and I took our 2-month old to visit some family in Brevard for the holidays, and this place could not be any more perfect. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood less than half a mile from the coffee shops and stores in downtown Brevard, we had easy access to everything we needed during our stay (and even saw a white squirrel just outside the house). There's a washer/dryer in the house, which was a godsend with our new baby. Graham is a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We will absolutely stay here again next year!

Great home base for exploring Brevard!

My sister and I recently rented Graham’s house for a weekend in Brevard, and we can’t recommend it enough. The house itself was clean and perfect for us, and in a great location. It was quiet, but we were still only about a 20-minute walk to downtown, which we did for dinner both nights. To top it all off I accidentally left a family keepsake that’s very important to me at the house, and Graham found it and mailed it back to me the next day. This will definitely be our first choice for lodging when we meet back up in Brevard next year. Thanks again Graham!!

Nice House close to Downtown

My husband and I stayed at Graham's house which was very close to Downtown Brevard. Short drive to restaurants and stores. 10-15 mins from Pisgah National forest. Nice clean house in a nice neighborhood. We ate out the whole time, but the kitchen seemed to have everything to cook a meal. Graham's communication was great. We were arriving after dark, so the lights were left on and it made it easier to find the house. We were only there for a short stay, but would definfitly book Graham's place again!

House in town

This was first time staying in town for a while, so different to adjust to. House was clean and Graham was very responsive to questions. When we left it was dark and pouring rain, so we couldn’t tell which trash can for trash or recycle.

Our family has vacationed in Brevard and the surrounding mountains for over 20 years, and in 2019 we had the opportunity to purchase this home from our relatives so we, and our extended family, could continue to enjoy it! The previous owners, my Aunt and Uncle, bought this cottage in 2007 and steadily maintained and upgraded this beautiful 1950's home over the years. We continue to update the cottage while preserving its historic feel. Our goal is to provide a warm welcoming home that anyone can enjoy as we have for many years, and many more to come.

What makes this property unique

Located minutes from Downtown Brevard, and only a brisk walk to the community library! Nearby Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest offer plenty of trails for hiking, biking and equestrian use, as well as streams and waterfalls for for viewing and fishing.
