Enjoy our happy place at Pajaro Dunes Resort. Just steps to the sand. 2 bedroom condominium in the gated Shorebirds complex at Pajaro Dunes. Perfect for 2 couples or a small family beach getaway. Our condo faces Monterey perfect for enjoying sunrises.

2 Bedroom, 2 bath with a California King in the master suite and a Queen with a Twin Bunk Bed in the guest bathroom. We recently updated our fireplace in our living room to a new electric fireplace to enjoy during the chilly evenings and mornings listening to the sounds of the ocean.

Spend family fun playing Pickle Ball, tennis or basketball with courts located on site. Stop by our lobby where we offer an assortment of loaner sports equipment for our renters including pickle ball sets!

Enjoy miles of untouched shoreline, collect seashells and sand dollars. or Roast s'mores in the evenings. A true coastal escape on the Monterey Bay.

Great property. We were there during a quiet and cool weekend. The beach was excellent for playing and walking and not crowded at all. Close enough to town too get Uber eats. And not a bad driver to Monterey.

Lovely rental

The property was spotless and decorated beautifully. There isn't an ocean view, but still nice being on the dunes. We were very comfortable there. I am very particular with cleanliness and I was VERY impressed with how immaculate the house is kept. The only mild negative is the dryer vent needs to be maintained - I tried to wash one load and it took three full 60-minute dryer cycles to dry one load. I recommend this unit!!

Spring Break Beach Getaway

The unit is close to the beach. I traveled with an elderly mom and the was perfect. 20 steps away from the beach with a few stairs to walk down. The unit was updated and clean. The bathrooms had a high step and was a challenging for the toddler and my mom. Parking was easy and accessible. Parking lot to unit was perfect because we were at a ground level unit. Sea otters were seen in the ocean. Bonfires at night made happy memories for all of us.

Affordable Pajaro Dunes Option

Our 5th summer visit at Pajaro Dunes. We knew going into the visit that we wouldn't get the ocean view but still missed it. Just how it goes. Good furniture setup inside and everything is comfortable. Easy access to beach. Well stocked with dishes, bowls, baking and cooking supplies. Only had salt and pepper and oil available. Patio area is large. Missed the beach goodies that are usually provided in other units. Really was needing Tupperware, bags, saran wrap for leftovers. There was an espresso maker that looked amazing but we couldn't find anything (pods) at the grocery store that worked in it. TV was difficult to figure out with no instructions for use. Dryer took three cycles to dry one load. Overall, we got a great deal with this unit and were able to stay for 5 nights making for a wonderful family vacation. You really cannot go wrong at Pajaro Dunes.

Construction

The property was perfect. The problem was the first morning at 8;00 AM we awoke to the sounds of construction. We were aware there was some but were told it was in another section. They did send a nice gift basket but it was very disappointing as the property was not inexpensive to rent.

First time renting through Pajaro Dunes Resort

This was my first time in almost a dozen reservations for Pajaro Dunes where I haven’t booked directly with a private owner and have instead booked through Pajaro Dunes Resort. The unit itself was nice- overall clean & functional. The decor was tasteful and the bathrooms were updated. We booked this unit because it was two doors down from where my parents had booked. There were noticeable negatives with our first experience booking through the Pajaro Dunes Resort itself that should be mentioned. The check in process was annoying. This was my first time having to drive to the gift shop to get the key. Had to exit the car while kids waited, walk up and go through signing paperwork like a hotel. Renting privately & having a lock box code or keys left at the gate is so much nicer. The unit lacked personal touches which was both good and bad. The major positive was that the fridge was nice & clean. No leftover condiments that I avoid touching and using when at a VRBO. The negatives was that it also lacked other items we sometimes find useful, such as plastic baggies and other items that are handy to have with kids. The kitchen was otherwise well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and eating in. Unfortunately. This is the first time in many visits to Pajaro in which the unit did not have one single beach chair or sand toy. If you’re coming with kids, you’ll have to lug it all from home. Something worth knowing when booking through the Pajaro Dunes Resort & not a private owner. Also, this unit was advertised as having a grill. What they don’t mention is that it does NOT come with propane. They make you come to the gift shop to buy it yourself. Never have I experienced that at other units. When I called about the lack of propane when we tried to fire up the grill for our $45 tri tip on the 4th of July, the customer service was unapologetic. The unit also lacked simple maintenance of the appliances. The dishwasher component that flips up to release the detergent tablet does not work. We noticed when we went to run our first load that the tablet from the load prior to our arrival was still in there. We ran a load & when the load was “clean” the tablet at the start was still intact in the closed component. The lint trap in the dryer also has compacted lint & sand from lack of maintenance and takes hours to dry one load. In the end, we would book through Pajaro Dunes Resort if they are managing the unit we want but it’s not a homey, typical VRBO.

Relaxing on the beach

This condo was the perfect place to stop in the middle of our California coast road trip and enjoy time on the beach. The beach is steps away from the condo. We were also able to drive to Monterey Bay for sightseeing. We enjoyed our stay!
