Jamaica Joy Beach Side Cottage

This cute Beach Cottage is conveniently located on the beach side of Jamaica Beach, one block from the beach with no need to drive across the main road (San Luis Pass 3005) to be on beach. It is a very short walk (less than 250 feet) to Gym, Liquor Store, Bar, Grill / Pizzeria, Wine/Espresso Bar, Hardware store, Laundromat and Valero convenience store with a Redbox. The house is well equipped with amenities of a beach cottage. Enjoy the beach view while you relax, listening to the sounds of the ocean. Located on the west end of island away from the heavy hustle and bustle. If you chose you can have fun visiting other Galveston’s attractions: Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens (Aquarium), Pleasure Pier for the kids or walk along the Historic Strand District and browse in the gift shops or indulge in the fine restaurants.

House has a cute and romantic feel with beach decorations and a laid back vibe! The Property consists of 2 bedroom and 2 baths. The master has a king size bed, dressers and night stands with it's own bathroom. The guest room has a queen size bed and a full size futon. The living area has 1 full size fold out futon. House sleeps up to a family of 6 (per Jamaica Beach's Karen/Darren rules). The house has amazing views because there is a deck on main living area and a top deck with 360 degree view. Can see the Gulf and Bay. (Please note that the house is a beach cottage and about 864 sqft). Check in 4:00 pm & Check out 11:00 am. House additional amenities: some games, some videos, books, toaster, coffee maker with filters, a Kuerig coffee maker, blender, some basic spices, and both a small gas grill and charcoal grill on bottom floor parking area. We offer clean quality linens and comforters, Smart TVs with popular apps loaded in living and guest room. 2 Blu ray Players. Free WiFi on site with code when requested. There are chairs on the deck. This property is about 150 yards from the water and does have an awesome beach view.
The cottage is set up to be romantic not to be used as a wild overcrowded party house. Limited to 6 guests maximum.

Perfect Weekend Getaway
We spent Father's Day weekend in Jamaica Beach with our very close family friends. There was 8 of us in the house, 4 adults and 4 kids ranging 1-12 years old. It was perfect for our little weekend getaway. Walking distance to the beach. Loved sitting out on the balconies at night. House was exactly as listed. Owner was easy to communicate with. And the top deck was so cool, the kids loved going up! Would definitely stay again.

This was a great place to stay for our family. The beach is a really short walk from the house and the house is close to places for food and coffee. The host was great and made check in and out a breeze. Can’t beat that beautiful deck view!

We were very happy with this rental. It was clean and snug. The deck was wonderful for morning coffee and enjoying the ocean breeze. It was an easy walk to the beach even with a 2 year old.

Great little weekend stay!
We loved staying here. The owners were very responsive and the location was perfect. The beach was a quick walk from the beach house. There are two decks both have great view of the water. We had a party of 7 that stayed there comfortably. The house has a lovely beachy theme but also had a family home feel as well. We can't wait to come back!

Jamaica Joy is an awesome beach house! Very comfortable, great views of the beach and sunset from the upper deck, and an awesome host! King bed was comfortable. Home is well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. Ponch is a great host who wastes no time responding to messages or emails. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Great vacation
Jamaica Joy had everything we needed to have a relaxing vacation. We loved the location and the view from the top deck was amazing. We chose to drive down to the beach but could have walked. It was nice having restaurants and stores just across the street. Loved sitting on the deck and enjoyed the swing on the ground level. Loved having the kuerig coffee pot and everything we needed for cooking in. I am looking forward to staying again and bringing another couple or the grandkids.

Our stay was great! Weather did not cooperate 100% of the time, but it was a still great. Ponch was wonderful with communication!! House was perfect! Great Cabin!
The cabin was very well stocked with everything. It was very clean and had a great view on the 3rd level balcony. The location was also great. We would definitely recommend and stay there again.

The location was so close and will bring us back.
The walking distance to the beach was so quick and easy. We made multiple trips back and forth with no difficulties or inconveniences. The master bedroom window was next to the major road so it was a little noisy at night with the traffic but king bed was very comfortable and made up for the little noise we had. The kitchen was fully equipped and we appreciated the condiments. Overall we had a great stay and the proximity to the beach will make us return.

What makes this property unique

Jamaica Beach is a quieter experience and a quaint community on west side of the island away from the super heavy tourist traffic. This is a family oriented area where you don't have to cross the busy street or drive to the beach. Almost everything you need for a relaxing vacation is located within walking distance from this cottage. There is a park in community with basketball court, playground, parking. There is a grocery store 1 mile further west if you have forgotten something. There is a Grill/Pizzeria and a new Wine Espresso Bar. Seafood at Nate's west end, Shrimp & Stuff food truck, and Waterman's Restaurant all close by if you want to dine closer to the house.
