Hollywood Regency architecture, beautiful views, privacy, very close to community pool and hot tub. Our home at the gated Marrakesh Country Club features a charming entry courtyard which faces north and south facing extended patio with remote control awning over the full 50' width. 10' ceilings with full sliding glass frame your golf course & mountain views. Completely furnished inside and out with fully stocked kitchen and outdoor BBQ. Nicely situated away from most traffic noise. Fully private course, but Social & Golf memberships are available for a monthly fee. Newer King size beds in 3 rooms plus Queen in the bonus room to sleep 7. All bedrooms have private access to bathrooms. Outdoor furnishings are very comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Full laundry, free WIFI and Spectrum TV + free landline calling in the US & Canada.

The Marrakesh Country Club is unique in the Valley, with just 364 private homes sited around an 18 hole executive course which is meticulously maintained and challenging to play. This is a private club, but tenants may obtain privileges for the course and club house. Dining is top notch in our newly renovated Club House, with beautiful golf course and mountain views - don't miss the Friday night happy hour. Tennis court, croquet, pickle ball, bocci & fitness room are all available with monthly membership. There are 14 pools and hot tubs, with one just across from our unit. There is an attached garage with room for one vehicle, and guest parking nearby. Enjoy fresh citrus fruit from the many trees nearby!
Minimum 30 days rental. No children or pets please. Rates include utilities except in summer months when Electricity is extra.

What a pleasure

We stayed for 7 weeks this past January to mid March, 2022 and found the condominium very good. The other review written in March 2021 about this condo is simply not our experience and not reflective of how nice this condo is all it has to offer. My wife, my 2 children and their spouses and our two young grandchildren stayed with us and enjoyed the accommodations. The condo has 4 bedrooms, an usual number of bedrooms as most have 2 or 3 bedrooms. The beds were comfortable.The condo is large, over 2400 sq ft and easily accommodated us. The kitchen is fully equipped and the BBQ, which we used often, was great. The pool is located right across the street from the condo, just a short walk. The condo is literally a 5 minute drive from El Paseo and close to all amenities, including restaurants and groceries. The grounds are impeccable and well taken care of. We spent a lot of time on the patio which is on the golf course, but far enough away so that no golf balls came near us. The patio has an automatic awning which is a pleasure when the sun is bearing down in the morning and early afternoons. In the evenings there is a heater which kept us warm on those chilly nights. All in all, we would recommend the condo for any family. You will not be disappointed. We weren’t. Dealing with Dick, one of the owners, was also a pleasure.

Disappointment

Everything was off when we arrived, ie. water, tv, etc. There was a handy man sheet on the coffee table telling us how to get things going. Many things didn't work and everything was old and worn. The furnace sounded like a 747 was taking off in the living room. We finally got some water in the kitchen and shower. The beds were very uncomfortable and pillows like hard chunks of rubber. We spent one night leaving early the next morning. I was very disappointed.

Our family have been regular visitors to the Palm Springs area for a number of years, and we' have enjoyed staying at the Marrakesh Country Club on previous visits. Check us out at or visit us in the sunny Okanagan Valley one summer. Guest accommodation is available at one of our vineyards.

Why they chose this property

The architecture is unique and very elegant. With just 364 homes, you will find that owners and renters alike are very sociable. The staff are fantastic and the golfing is great fun. Tennis & pickle ball are also handy, and the exercise room is well equipped. The grounds are immaculate, and full of flowers and citrus trees. We love the location - a good walk to the dining and shops of El Paseo : Palm Desert's own Rodeo Drive.

What makes this property unique

Our South facing patio is spacious, and has great mountain views. Very private setting, adjacent, but not too close, to the 15th green. For another aspect relax in the front courtyard, or step across the road to the pool. The house is very spacious and comfortable, with numerous upgrades while still retaining that 70's feel.
