First time at the Ocean Walk. Great central location. Enjoyed that there was live entertainment out on the pool deck and at the indoor bar each night.

Great location but not ideal for bike week/biketober

Several issues no arrival email or instructions, with the bedroom lighting switch/lamps working had to unplug to turn on and off the smaller bed seems off, pillows need to be replaced. The parking DO NOT have a trailer, with bikes and truck they would not even let you unload near the building. Either 4 bikes or a truck you can't park both. The TV's never worked beyond one channel for the news, towels included and washclothes smelled soured. Great location and very clean otherwise

L’emplacement de se logement est très bien dans le complexe Wyndham. Le problème est la communication avec l’hôte… aucune réponse alors que nous n’avions plus le wifi depuis plusieurs jours. Nous avons dû passer par la plate-forme VRBO, où nous avons reçu un excellent service. Pour les commodité de la cuisine le strict minimum: 4 assiette, 4 bol, quelques chaudron, un linge à vaiselle. Dommage car le condo est bien situé mais le confort n’y était pas.

Great location, great view, rough unit

We have stayed at Ocean Walk many times (through VRBO, RCI, and Wyndham directly), and enjoy the property itself. Great pools for kids with the water slide and splash pad area, no drive beach, close to lots of food choices/shopping, and water park if wanting to do something beyond the beach/pool. This unit for our Labor Day stay was rough. Checked in around 8:00pm and when we got to the room the switch for hall light wouldn’t work (had to use the one by the kitchen going forward), lots of corrosion on faucets, had dried snot on the blankets along with dried gummies, crumbs still on the couch and lots of sand everywhere (that part we get as it is a beach condo). Microwave is rusting inside, and limited kitchen items (the small single drink blender was handy though!). On our finally night of 3, we can back from dinner and felt it was a little warm, turns out the AC wasn’t working. Woke up in middle of the night and found it to be 81* in the unit. Turned off the AC and then at about 9;00am when we were packing to leave I kicked it back on and it worked. In between there I looked in the closet the unit is housed in and was surprised by the amount of dust in there. Guessing it probably needed a new filter/cleaning and was an easy fix, but would think that should have been checked more often. Host was quick and apologetic about any issues, however none were rectified (no new blankets/cleaning service re-entering/ac repair). Overall we enjoyed our short getaway , just not the unit, even at the lower cost compared to other units at the same property.

Very responsive owner

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this property. The property owners were very responsive to any questions or concerns during our stay. This property is great for a couple or maybe a family of 3-4 and has the necessities for a 4-5 day stay. Being a top Floor unit is a definite plus. That said, the unit is certainly showing some wear and tear and is in need of a little TLC.

Affordable. Great view & location.

It can be hard to find an affordable rental unit so close to the beach. Other guests we chatted with assumed our top-floor unit was a penthouse. :D It wasn't, but it was great for us. The photos are accurate. I really loved staying so close to the beach, and enjoying spectacular beach views! We saw dolphins! We watched huge sea birds fly in front of our balcony and over the top of our building. I am very afraid of heights, and was cautious of the balcony. I made myself sit out there for an hour, and I'm glad I did. The balcony railing is tall, and the furniture is comfortable without being tall, so that really helped me feel safe. My kids loved the lazy river, the pool, and the water slide. This was our first time at Daytona beach, and the sand is fabulous. Check in was easy. The first thing I noticed was that the bedroom was set up with a king bed AND a full sized bed for our children. What a pleasant surprise! The six of us were perfectly situated between the bedroom and the sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa was okay for a kid. It had stains and was old. We had a set of bedding for the sleeper sofa, and several extra pillows, but no pillowcases for those pillows, and no extra blankets. We had enough, but nothing extra. The AC worked great and was easy to adjust. The furniture was comfortable, though not new. The apartment was sparsely decorated, which for us was perfect, because I didn't have to worry about placing decorative items out of reach of our little children. The unit was cozy and functional. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans and small appliances. We found a broom & a mop. There were plenty of towels. The washing machine and dryer worked great. We always had hot water for our showers. The bathroom was spacious. Issues I noticed: 1) The floors were a little grimy (but not sandy!) and should be scrubbed. 2) Some of the bedroom lamps had broken knobs and could not be turned on. 3) The toilet constantly dripped, and the handle frequently came loose and had to be reinserted into the toilet tank. My kids struggled with this. A $20-$50 repair for the leaking seal and handle would fix this. I did not take the time to contact the property owners about these things, so I cannot speak to whether or not they would have addressed them. That said, their communication before we arrived was prompt and on point. Other reviewers have noted delays with the elevator, and we arrived expecting delays. Happily, we never had an issue!

Quick weekend get awat

Room was very nice, excellent view on the 19th floor. Owners were very responsive with any questions. As described in the description, bring your own beach towels. The room had everything we needed. Looking forward to visiting again!

My overall experience was great. I do think they need to review the policy of towels reserving chairs.Most places I’ve stayed have Securty removing towels from chairs when not in use
