About this property

The Point: Family Cottage with private beach

Our cottage, called The Point, is on a point of land which includes a private sand beach and a south-facing dock. You can watch the sun set from the beach, the dock, the screened porch, or the cottage!

The Point is ideal for nature-lovers and multi-generational families. In summer, the shallow sloping beach is great for easing into the water. We also have kayaks and paddle boards that you can use. Inside you’ll find lots of puzzles, board games, and DVDs, as well as unlimited WiFi. In autumn, you can view the fall colours from the screened porch. In winter, you can snowshoe across the frozen lake.

The cottage is cozy and comfy. There’s a queen size bed in the master bedroom, a double bed in the second bedroom, and two single bunk beds in the third bedroom.

Outside, we have two fire pits. We provide some firewood onsite for camp fires (in the summer, please check for fire restrictions before lighting a fire).

For indoor heat, the propane fireplace in the living room provides easy warmth on cool evenings, and every room has a baseboard heater.

You’ll find lots to do in nearby Parry Sound, or just relax and enjoy the cottage. Swim in the spring-fed lake. Paddle in the canoe and kayaks. Play games inside (cards, board games, jigsaw puzzles) or out (horseshoes, badminton, Viking chess). Snooze in the hammock.

Guests have access the beach, dock, kayaks, canoe, pedalboat, paddle boards, BBQ, outdoor toys (beach toys, balls, badminton, horseshoes), forest trails, and two outdoor fire pits. Guests must check local fire hazard ratings before making a campfire.

Sorry, guests may not bring motorized water craft.

Keep in mind, our cottage is on a small, quiet lake. It is not suitable for parties or loud groups. We respect your privacy, but are available to answer questions. We are often onsite in our bunkie and we are always available by phone/text. Please message us with any questions - we are happy to respond!
