We had such a fun time at this lake house. It was really nice to have the paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. House was comfortable and had plenty of space. Host had also stocked necessities which was appreciated!
We’ve come to Loon Haven for three summers now, and it is our favorite vacation spot. The house is beautiful, clean, and well equipped for everything your group could want to do, whether that’s relaxing in the great room, paddling around the beautiful lake, cooking and sharing meals together, or anything else your vacation needs. It’s well set up for several families to travel together, with separate sleeping areas upstairs and downstairs. It’s always impeccably clean when we arrive with nothing to do but settle in and relax. Jason is a fabulous and responsive host who will take care of any issues immediately (but we’ve never needed to ask for anything!). We can’t wait to return next summer!
Our family had such as wonderful time at Jason's beautiful lake house that included all the amenities! The well equipped kitchen and outside grill was great for our nightly family meals. There were plenty of chairs on the outside deck that overlooked the lake for us to enjoy our coffee and stare at the beauty surrounding us. My husband and I and adult children, their significant others, along with our 12 year-old grandson really enjoyed the kayaks, canoes and paddle boards available for our use. We also rented a Jet Ski at CBR Rentals, and it was so much fun for a day! We did bring my parents who were very comfortable and loved sitting on the deck and on the lawn watching us all swim and "play".
Everytime I reached out to Jason with a question via text, he immediately responded. For example, we wanted firewood for the firepit, which he provided so we did not have to search for it upon our long day of travel from Ohio, and he also gave us the name of a photographer months prior our arrival so we could have professional family photos taken in front of the lake!
There were plenty of linens, towels, and other paper product items available to use, and we replaced all we used for the next guests since we were so grateful that it was available for us for a day until we got to the store!
Another plus was the easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Spending the day with all the tourists, yet coming back to the quiet beauty and solitude of the inviting and clean home. It was immaculate and very comfortable. Plenty of room for us to be together, yet have our own space when needed. A real plus was 3 full bathrooms!
Thank you, Jason, for sharing your lovely lake house home with us!
The LeRoys
WOW...the view on the lake was awesome. We enjoyed all the toys at the location - canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, floats and, of course, the swimming. We took our nine year old granddaughter on her first canoe ride. We taught her how to kayak and paddleboard. She was even brave enough to swim to the island in the lake. The morning sun rises were awesome. We were far away from Acadia and the peace and quiet was worth it. The property afforded us the ability to enjoy and relax and then drive to the park, Bar Harbor and surrounding areas for activities. Smores at the firepit overlooking the lake was a nice evening touch. The house was large enough that everyone had their own room and privacy. We had a wonderful time.
We rented the house for week long annual trip with college friends. The property was beautiful and the house was well appointed. Jason made everything so easy.
This comfortable home was perfectly situated on Phillips Lake and had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing vacation, kayaking and swimming in the super-clean water right outside the door. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Highly recommend it!
My family (husband, mother-in-law, 2 teenage sons) stayed in July of 2021 and we had a wonderful stay! The kitchen was well-stocked with basic items (spices, vinegar/sugar/oil, etc.). My MIL had a bit of trouble with the stairs (no bedroom on main floor), but besides that, it was a great place. The view was beautiful and Jason was great to work with. Acadia/Bar Harbor was about 45 minutes away and Bangor/Brewer only 20-25 min away. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Maine!
Our family did a month+ rental. This property was beautiful and we had so many great experiences. We highly recommend the house as it gave us everything that was promised. Many great areas to explore locally and in Acadia.
All the Comforts of Home in a Beautiful Environment
We rented this property for a week-long vacation with another family from our neighborhood. We had five adults and one child and found the property to be perfect for our needs. The house was fabulous - spacious and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen, large bedrooms, and very nice bathrooms. Jason and Elisa were very responsive via email and were the perfect hosts. The house had everything we needed for kayaking and canoeing around the lake, including life vests and floaties. It's immediately adjacent to the lake, with a nice launch spot for boats. The kitchen had a well-stocked spice drawer, which was a pleasant surprise, as well as a good supply of unbreakable plates and glasses to use outdoors. We spent time making pizza on the grill, roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, paddling around the lake, reading books on the dock, and resting and listening to the loons calling at night. It was a perfect restorative getaway for all of us. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back next summer!
Our family was fortunate to have a week on this gorgeous property. It was a spacious, lovely home. It was simply perfect! The lakefront was perfect for us, so comfortable and easy. Such lovely spots around the home to enjoy the weather. We’ve been renting houses for the last eleven years and this was by far the best one. The house had everything we could ever need, stocked so well. The owners were so kind. Great vacation home!
Our stay at Loon Haven was wonderful. Everything was ready and well appointed. There were floats, kayak and canoe for guest to use that helped to entertain. Easy access to the water from the house. The view from the upper deck was wonderful to sit and appreciate. Our group of 8 adults had plenty of room to relax and socialize. The local small grocery (G&M Market)was handy. We would definitely return.
we had a great time in this beautiful lakeside house. Jason the owner was very nice and helpful. the house is gorgeous, and the private access to the lake was great fun: canoeing, swimming, fishing or lighting a small fire. We hesitated at first because we thought it's far from Acadia national park - but it was worth it, it's 40 to 60 min drive, and some days we decided just to stay at the house and enjoy the lake. Highly recommended!
Pictures do not do the house and property justice. Beautiful lake and house was large, well maintained and perfectly situated. It was also stocked with anything you need. We went to Acadia many times during our stay, but also really enjoyed hanging out at the house during our non-hiking hours. Nearby town of Ellsworth was really quaint and much nicer to stroll through vs. touristy Bar Harbor. One of the best rentals we've ever stayed in. Kids enjoyed canoeing and kayaking on the lake. Owners incredibly helpful with answering our questions about area and house. Greatly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!
From start to finish the rental of this property was seamless. The owner’s were very pleasant to deal with and cared tremendously that we had the best stay possible. They literally thought of everything to make us feel at home. We only needed clothes and everything else was supplied. So amazing! We had 4 adults and 4 children stay and there was plenty of space for the whole crew. I would absolutely recommend this beautiful home to anyone that is interested! I hope to be back one day and very soon hopefully!
