Our lakefront cabin is nestled among the pines of Middle Thompson Lake, just a 40 minute drive from Kalispell. A small creek borders the east side of the property, and flows into the lake. Enjoy a swim from the private dock that floats on the shoreline. The cabin has been recently renovated and has an open floor plan with fully equipped kitchen. It is easy to enjoy the views from the large screened porch. At the end of the day gather around the fire pit and enjoy the warmth, long into the night. The stars are breathtaking. Campfire Cabin has a spacious lawn for games and tents. Perfect for volleyball (our family favorite) and relaxing in the hammock. Our newly built sauna house is a step away. It is equipped with a changing room, full bath and loft area to sleep or play in. Bring your water toys and boat. Fish, kayak, and paddleboard right from the cabin! Local summer attractions include huckleberry picking, hiking, hunting and fishing tournaments. Also winter attractions include cross country skiing, sledding, ice skating, and snowmobiling. Enjoy a break from technology since we have no tv. (Although we newly added Starlink WiFi ) Learn to relax again.

My family absolutely loved everything about our stay at Thompson Lake Cabin. The hosts are gracious and communicative, there to answer questions, although we didnt have many as their check in and out instructions and info on the property was thorough and concise.
The cabin is just awesome. It is literally right on the lake, the boat dock was used all day long as there was plenty of paddle boards and water games along with a hammock to relax in. Plenty of comfy places to hang out and ample sleeping room. Enjoyed by everyone from the infant to the teenagers to the parents!
The kitchen was the most well equipped of any place we have stayed in so we were able to eat all our meals right at the cabin.
So many fun memories... so we will be back!
Such a beautiful cabin and gorgeous lake. Couldn’t have asked for better weather or more beautiful cabin to accommodate our family. Super clean place and loved the fact that is was right on the water with a private dock. We were able to bring our boat, jet skis and they provided paddle boards and kayaks. Will definitely book again. Thank you Sabrina and Shawn.
This was our second year here and we so enjoy our time here. It is beautiful and relaxing, a great digital detox! We love the cabin, it is always clean and comfortable!
Our group of two families had an amazing two-week vacation at Middle Thompson Lake! From starting every morning with coffee on the dock to using the provided paddle boards and kayaks to explore the lake to ending the night with a campfire or evening swim, I can’t imagine a better escape from worries about COVID-19. Sabrina and Shawn were extremely responsive and friendly. Loved that the cabin came equipped with so many items like the paddle boards/kayaks, beach towels, and firewood. I’d recommend bringing some serving bowls and/or pans if you plan to do much cooking, but we were certainly able to make do with what was there. Though we were initially a bit nervous about “surviving” with no WiFi or cell coverage, being disconnected from the news felt like a wonderful escape from the world! My daughter rated this vacation a 10 out of 5!!!
Our stay at the Middle Thompson Lake Cabin was great. Shaun and Sabrina provided top notch service and went above and beyond on all requests. The property was very well maintained and the cabin was great.
If you like fishing, this is a great spot. We caught several Northern Pike and Large Mouth Bass. The lake also has great Kokanee Salmon fishing.
Overall, we had a very relaxing time whether it be in the sauna, around the fire, or on the dock.
We highly recommend this property to anyone considering it.
This is an exceptional property that provides everything possible to keep a family entertained. We spent the week of the 4th of July here and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway. The surroundings are breathtaking, and the cabin provides a perfect mix of functionality and a rustic escape.
The owners were amazing and ensured we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to spend time enjoying the Montana outdoors!

We absolutely loved our short stay at your cabin and will be booking again soon for a much longer stay. We have stayed at many other places from all over and have yet to see one as finely groomed and clean as this! We really enjoyed the sauna room, what a great way to unwind! The views of the lake and surroundings are breath taking from the campfire.

About the host

As a family of 9, we have made the Campfire Cabin our get a way all year round. We live in Kalispell and are owners of a local electrical business. We have both grown up in the Flathead Valley and love everything this beautiful area has to offer.
Why they chose this property
When we decided to buy this piece of property our family was looking for somewhere we could get away. After looking into it we realized this location was one of a kind and a perfect place enjoy each other's company. To do things together as a family. Technology has made the world a crazy, hectic place. Boating, fishing, swimming, hunting, and sunshine seem to be a remedy for stress. Sitting around the campfire and laughing into the night is one of my favorite places. The cabin creates special moments. We can't wait to share this with you. We want you to have these moments for yourselves.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with the peaceful feeling you get just being there. Its a refreshing way to get away and an amazing opportunity to gather with family and friends. There is a quiet place to take a walk, just out the door. A back-road that wraps along the lake. Swim, paddle, or wakeboard on 3 miles of smooth water. Try your luck at catching the 6 species of fish (perch, pike, crappie, kokanee salmon, brook trout and rainbow trout) or explore the fishing channel connecting to Lower Thompson Lake.
