Absolutely wonderful!

Beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing - the entire family loved our weekend in Bivalve! Everything from kayaking from the pier to family game time on the massive screened deck to enjoying a nice outdoor fire - perfect!

Pleasant property

We enjoyed ourselves so much. The house was more like our home. We moved in, the house was just the size we needed for 7 people and others to visit. We relaxed and had a wonderful time.

Beautiful and comfortable

We loved this property. We were able to swim right from the dock and spent many hours relaxing on the porch swing and using the 2 available kayaks. The interior is very clean and comfortable. The property feels private although there are neighbors. The owner was very responsive and check-in/check-out was an easy process. Would love to come back!

Beautiful relaxing stay on the Nanticoke River

We had a wonderful stay at this waterfront home. Jay was friendly and helpful. We ventured to Salisbury one day and went to Assateague twice (yes, we saw horses!). But most of the time we hung out at the house - swam, lounged and read books, played tennis and basketball at the park down the street, had a bonfire and enjoyed the sunsets. We will be coming back!

Great waterfront venue for a relaxing get-away! Spectacular sunsets!

We had a super, fun, and relaxing weekend stay. The waterfront house is comfortable, clean, and well-equipped/stocked. Sunsets and views were gorgeous. The dock and large porch were very nice. Enjoyed grilling, crabbing, using the outside fire pit, and large indoor fireplace. Lots of things to enoy! Very quiet location. Jay was very helpful and responsive. Thanks so much for a super visit, and we would love to return!

Glorious sunsets on the Nanticoke!

We enjoyed a wonderful few days in this rambling house just perfect for a leisurely vacation - yoga on the dock, lounging in hammocks, reading on the spacious wrap-around screened porch, and standing motionless watching the sun slip behind the land in vibrant hues of red and yellow. Next time we'll stay longer!

Fantastic waterfront home for family getaway

House was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Anything I forgot to bring the house already had. Plenty of bottled water provided and appreciated. Exterior property was well groomed, lots of seating in the enclosed wraparound porch and on lawn. Fantastic dock, swam right off the dock, plenty of rafts. Most goregeous sunsets and stars. Nice, quiet town, very nice neighbors. Wifi worked great.

Great stay, hope to return

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this vacation home on the Nanticoke River. The house was very clean upon arrival, and well stocked with everything we needed. Our group of 4 adults and 4 children enjoyed relaxing on the screened-in porch, swimming off the dock, paddling in the kayaks, playing cornhole and stargazing at night. One word of warning is that if anyone in your group is sensitive to well water with hydrogen sulfide gas (i.e. the "rotten egg" smell) you may want to bring along some drinking water. That was really the only issue we encountered, which we solved by making a trip for some water. Everything at this house was fantastic.

Great sunsets!

We were looking for a place to relax with our family and this house was perfect! The house was very clean with plenty of games and activities. The wraparound porch was nice for meals and relaxing. The pier was great for fishing. We watched the osprey and eagles and enjoyed amazing sunsets over the River. Thank you!

Second Year and Just as Great

The house has every amenity you can think of. Spectacular views across the water from almost every room. We enjoyed the 2 kayaks, inflatable rafts, and the lawn games. We ran a little low on firewood for a week-long stay, but you can easily pick some up in town. The river was perfect for swimming and floating. This trip was our second year back, and we loved it just as much!

Winter-Spring getaway on the Naticoke

Our stay at Jay’s river/bayside house was perfect. The house is open and airy with week equipped kitchen and comfortable beds with many thoughtful amenities like Durologs for the fire (a few chilly nights match with some warm days during our 10 day worcation. The front porch was popular for tea in the morning, lunch breaks and most of all the sunsets, each one unique and better than the last. As birders we watched various waterfowl, eagles and the return of the ospreys which hover nearby. Jay was very responsive with to questions during booking and while we were there highlighting the West Side Fire Departments oysters and Muskrat festival, very popular with the locals. We hope to come back in other seasons to relax and recharge.

House on the water

The house is beautiful, and the water view is amazing! The owner makes things easy and makes you feel like the place is yours. And if you worship fireplaces like we do, THIS is the place to go!

AMAZING! BOTH EXCITING AND RELAXING

The home is simply awesome. It came stocked with everything we could need and more. We had a young family member in a wheelchair and another who is getting older and the property was perfect for them both. Great layout. Great decor. Great views. Great fishing. Great fun. Great relaxation. Great communication. I have already recommended this location to another family we know who has difficulty finding nice places to go on vacation due to handicap accessibility. This is the perfect home to create memories for all ages. I'm not easily impressed.....the whole home and process was outstanding. And our neighbors were also great!!! Thank you so much, Jay! We look forward to coming back as long as you will have us :)

Bivalve weekend

Our family, had a great weekend in Bivalve. Check-in was easy, everything we needed was there. Highlights were the loads of yard games, the kayaks, a bit of swimming, firepit, sand box, hammock swing/bed, and the gigantic porch where we ate all of our meals. We would definitely book this place again for a small family gathering.

Why they chose this property

This property has been in my family for decades. We designed and built this home in 2001.

What makes this property unique

As you can see from the pictures--it is inherently picturesque, beautiful and unique. The perfect place to just relax or have a ton of fun. We have groups friends down often and host large family reunions every summer. There have been four small weddings in the last year.
