We enjoyed our stay in Acadia. The studio apartment was well done and comfortable.
It is on the quiet side of Acadia but still a short drive away.
One suggestion - room darkening shades for the front window.
5 stars! My fiancé and I were in Maine for vacation and looking for a place to stay while visiting Acadia. This property perfectly met our needs! The space was clean, secluded, and close enough to everywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely stay again!
Great accommodations!!! Located in secluded area within a short distance of Southwest Harbor. Hiking just down the street. Everything we could ask for and more.
This was a great stay about 25 minutes from bay harbor! It was away from all the bay harbor crowds but also minutes from southwest harbor with its own cute downtown. Very clean property as pictured.
There is 5 stars and there is FIVE STARS. This place was perfect. New, clean, quiet, beautiful setting in a great neighborhood. Very well equipped and thought out. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
Highly reccomend this property. Stayed here during my trip to Acadia National Park. Booked the first floor studio. Very clean, quiet, and had everything I could possibly need for the stove and grill. Incredible communication with the property owner. There's an intimate patio to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast on. Located about 20 minutes from the Park, very close to Beal's restaurant (also highly reccomend). Don't book a hotel, book this Vrbo!
While this is a studio apartment, it had everything we needed as a home base for our first visit to the Acadia area.
Eric was very kind and understanding when we called on arrival regarding an issue we had with accessing the apartment on arrival ( operator error).
The location was so beautiful, with Acadia NPS trails less than a mile away, a NPS lakefront beach also less than a mile away. We were quite active visiting the park everyday and this was such a convenient homebase, away from the crowds of Bar Harbor.
One thing to be aware of is that the apartments are not air homebase. I’m glad we did not notice that, because we otherwise would have passed on this gem. My husband does not do well with the heat, and although it was very hot and humid the first couple days, we were outside, and there’s excellent cross ventilation in the studio.
Highly recommend, and we hope to be back soon.
Close to Acadia, and has everything you need to feel at home!

We stayed in newly updated accessible room. Loved the bed & bathroom. Suppose to be ocean front but balcony view was 90% blocked by brush & trees that needed to be trimmed. Property under renovation but currently outdated. Would have been nice to have coffee maker & microwave in room. Currently not worth the $$$ paid for the night.
We really enjoyed our visit to this property. The upstairs neighbors were polite, and the view of the trees was really lovely. Having a small kitchen and especially access to a grill was really nice for this visit.
One thing to note is that the listing did say when we booked there was air conditioning, but the owner confirmed it wasn't being installed until August. The owner was super responsive when I asked how to lower the temperature, and this may not matter most of the time in this part of Maine.
This studio was perfect for us. Spacious, great shower/bathroom, easy controls, the guidebook and all of Eric's communications prior to arriving made it seem like home quickly. In and out (after 4 days) seamlessly. Will definitely repeat when back in the area.
Apartment was wonderful for my family and dogs. Very private road to walk the dogs, and apartment was very clean and had all the items we needed for our stay. Would stay again Eric was very helpful before we were there and during our stay. Was a great location easy to access Bar Harbor and sounding area. Thank you
We enjoyed the cozy studio apartment which was perfect for two! It was fresh, clean, and well supplied with everything to make our stay comfortable. We loved the secluded location in the woods which was close to activities and not far from Acadia National Park. The host anticipated guest needs and wants, and stayed in touch to make sure everything was good. We highly recommend it!
Awesome property! Quiet and off the beaten path, clean & fresh, excellent communication from owner. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated all the attention to the details. A+, highly recommend-thanks
Great location in regards to Acadia National Park. Home is located on a nice private road. Very quiet and peaceful. The host did a great job communicating on how to check in and was very responsive. There were, however, a few things that did disappoint us. Firstly, it was listed that this property was dog friendly. However, once we were reading the welcome book provided by the host, it stated that “dogs were not allowed on any furniture and if there was any excessive barking that you would be asked to leave without a refund.” This gave us some anxiety as dog owners with renters upstairs who also had a dog. We feel dogs will be dogs and they bark naturally. Secondly, the house was clean upon arrival, however the floor had a slippery, slimy feeling to it. We couldn’t walk around barefoot. Not sure what cleaning products are used. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the surrounding trails!
Our visit could not have been more perfect. The space was exactly as described - clean, thoughtfully set up with everything we could have possibly needed. The location was just the right combination of quiet and off the beaten path a bit but close enough to everything. Communication was fabulous - had all the information we needed in plenty of time.
Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about it! We will recommend to our friends and family too!
This was a great location for a visit to Acadia. The home is on a quiet, wooded street with trails nearby. We were able to view the sights and escape the crowds of Bar Harbor, which is a 25-minute ride. I recommend bringing your groceries or stopping on the way as the local store is limited and expensive. This is a first-floor apartment with a 2-bedroom unit above. If you are sensitive to noise and light this may not be the place for you. As a studio, there is light from the appliances and you may hear the upstairs guest. The host was responsive and worked with us during our stay.

We have been vacationing on MDI for over 20 years and fell in love with Southwest Harbor and the “quiet side” of the island. Enjoy the island and Acadia without all the Bar Harbor traffic, but still close enough to pay a visit too.
