COTTAGE
Tyn Y Coed is a luxury 3 bedroom cottage sat in its own private and secluded mature wood land. The cottage is over 300 years old and boasts all its original features. There are wooden beams throughout, inglenook fireplaces, large wood burning stove, cottage latch doors and solid stone kite winding staircase.

On the ground floor the well equipped, traditional kitchen features a large range cooker, Belfast sink sat in oak work tops and extensive country table and chairs.

Saucepans hang overhead next to the range cooker and a character butchers block with chef’s knife set are available. After cooking a delicious meal, you can let the dishwasher do the washing up while you retire to the living room to relax.

The living room is large and extremely cosy and relaxing. Sink back into the large, plump, luxurious cushions on the settees and watch the flames devour the logs in the large inglenook log burner. There is a 40 inch LCD TV complete with full sky package and DVD player.

The sideboard holds a wealth of family favourite board games, and the large selection of DVDs and books will keep you entertained for hours. An abundance of toys and children's play things will keep the kids amused on rainy days.

There is a quality I-pod docking station for music lovers to enjoy and you don’t have to worry about the volume as there are no neighbours to disturb.

Upstairs, the 3 bedrooms are tastefully decorated with solid oak furniture, cosy lamps and quality curtains. The king size room has en suite shower room. The middle bedroom can be a twin room or a king size room depending on your preference. The third bedroom is a twin room.

All beds have pocket sprung, luxury mattresses with fine bed linen and luxury pillows to ensure the ultimate night’s sleep. All 3 bedrooms have TV / DVD players which can also play the Sky TV channels.

A family shower room on the landing area has a toilet and vanity set up with large mirror.

Patio doors lead into the gardens at the front and to the rear, from both the kitchen and the living room. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful, the perfect place to relax with a good book, or just lay back and listen to the birds singing and watch the Red Kites soar. It’s a safe haven where children can play while you relax. There are a few fun rope swings on the trees and the surrounding fields are there to be explored.

On arrival, you’ll receive a welcome hamper with our compliments. We provide fresh towels and bed linen and the log store will be fully stocked. So the only thing you need to think about is how to enjoy the rest of your stay.

There is much more to Tyn Y Coed Cottage, a fantastic relaxing retreat or a base camp for adventure, the choice is yours.

Wonderful in Wales
Absolutely superb property. All you could want including lovely hot tub. Cosy cottage but luxurious with it. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the property for you..... Just the wind in the trees, bees in plants, birdsong and distant sheep sounds. Virtually no man made noise at all. Owner readily available and very helpful.

Lovely old cottage full of character. We felt very special to be staying there.
Spent 3 nights with family. Grandchildren loved the fact that they were surrounded by fields and sheep. It was lovely cooking in a farmhouse kitchen, knowing that we could then relax in the lovely hot tub. Will look at bringing other family members next time so that they can spend time in a lovely part of Wales.

Great cottage, quiet location
We spent a week in Tyn y Coed. The house was very well had everything we needed. It was perfect for a family holiday. The kids loved the hot tub. The house was close to the Brecon Beacons and we got lovely weather to enjoy the beautiful scenery and walks. We were about an hour from Cardiff which is also well worth a visit. We also visited Snodonia bit that was a bit of a hike from Sennybridge. The Shoemakers Arms was a shirt drive from the house and was a nice country pub.

Beautiful cottage in lovely private location with quick access to Brecon and the park
Cottage and its environment are beautiful and comfortable. The hot tub is great after a day of walking in the Beacons; we sat in it during a nice rain one night. Lots of chirping birds and sheep next door if you enjoy a bit of baaing as well (we do). The owner, Lisa, is a wonderful landlady, generous with her time in communicating with needy overseas visitors and with her gift basket. We were also very grateful for the fully appointed laundry room by this point in our trip. One note, not a flaw of the rental but perhaps useful to readers: The spiral staircase to the bedrooms is tight and steep. We did not even bother trying to take up our giant suitcases. We didn't mind this but some might, for various reasons. (I'm pretty sure this info appears in the property description as well.) We travel in the UK regularly, have used self catering rentals in Wales, England, Isle of Man, Scotland, and Orkney Islands. This is by far the most expensive cottage we have rented. I thought I would comment on the cost since other travelers might wonder, as we did, if it is worth it. I would say yes, especially if you have several people in your party. With only the two of us it was, in all honesty, kind of dumb to spend so much on space we didn't use, but considering everything the property offers in such a prime location I don't think the pricing is unfair. It may be the most expensive booking we ever made but it's also one of the largest and best appointed.

Wonderful Cottage Stay
Highly recommended - We booked a stay for 4 and were completely blown away by the cottage & the location. Such a lovely build, well kept and modernized but without taking away the charm that would be expected from an original building. Spent many hours soaking in the hot tub after our walk in the mountains and also relaxing by the real wood fireplace. Will definitely stay again without question!

Fantastic property in a beautiful location.
Wonderful short break in a lovely period cottage, everything you need is provided along with a tasty little welcome hamper, our grown up children enjoyed the hot tub. We had a fantastic time visiting family in Brecon and would recommend a visit to llangorse lake. The spiral staircase with rope handrail could be so bit tricky for the elderly or young children but don't let that put you off, highly recommended.

Idyllic and fully equipped
Absolutely loved this place. I booked it as a surprise trip for my wife and I and it was heavenly. The owners have gone to great lengths to supply everything you need for a home from home. Instructions are provided for making the perfect fire in the wood burner and everything is in fan condition. It is so peaceful round there. The icing on the cake of course is the hot tub. Sitting in the hot tub under the stars with a glass of bubbly (in the thoughtfully provided safety glasses) was an unforgettable experience. Loved it so much we've now bought a hot tub at home. Thank you so much. Can't recommend highly enough.

Why they chose this property

We have visited the Brecon Beacons for years staying in Cottages over the school holidays & Christmas period. We love the Brecon Beacons so much we decided to buy our own holiday Cottage. We looked at lots of different Cottages until we found Tyn Y Coed. We absolutley fell in love! It was bursting with Character, retaining many of its original features from 300 hundred years ago.
We purchased it & renovated it through out turning it into a 5 star holiday Cottage.
