Blueberry Haven - At the Base of Mt. Marathon

Enjoy Blueberry Haven - a two story townhouse at the base of Seward's Mount Marathon. The upper floor, with living area, kitchen, and half bath, has lots of natural light with large windows and a sliding glass door. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen w/peninsula and the deck with barbecue grill and table and chairs. In the evening, relax around the outdoor fire pit.

Two bedrooms and a full bathroom are located on the ground floor. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has two twin beds; sleeps four adults comfortably (add'l fee over four guests). There is an inflatable mattress/bedding available as needed for children.

Just a 10-15 minute walk to the Alaska SeaLife Center, downtown shops, waterfront trail, and harbor area. During the summer, Seward's free shuttle stops three blocks away. For runners and hikers, the townhouse is next to the Mount Marathon runner's trail and only three blocks from the hiker's trail.

Excellent place!

I brought a friend who was visiting Alaska down for the weekend and the property couldn’t have been better. Very clean, tons of space, centrally located! It’s such a short walk down to the water or downtown strip and the view even from the dining room table is pretty spectacular. Hosts were responsive and got us everything we needed to know well before our trip. Definitely recommend :)

Pre cruise Stay

We arrived in Seward on the train for a two night stay prior to our cruise. Hosts were incredibly responsive in communication. Property is lovely, obvious the care that is taken with cleanliness and decor. As stated, it’s a short walk from the #8 shuttle stop. As we were late in the season, we found texting Aunt May’s taxi service was the best way to get service for returning w luggage to the cruise terminal. Great spot for departing for hikes. Comfortable lodging and very clear instructions from hosts. We would stay here again highly recommend.

Fantastic stay!

We needed a place to overnight in Seward and this was perfect for four adults! It was a bit of an uphill walk from the free shuttle that runs around town, so tricky if you have a lot of luggage, but we found a great restaurant nearby for dinner and caught the bus easily the next morning. A great stay!

Blueberry Haven was exactly what we needed for our week's stay in Seward. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to do or needed for our stay. It's in a quiet neighborhood and very clean.

Cozy and comfortable

This property was so cozy and comfortable! It’s a great rental for a small family. We were a family of 3 and had a spare twin bed. The owners really went above and beyond in remembering things that renters would like- nightlight in bathroom, blackout curtains, luggage racks, comfy beds and warm blankets, some hangers in the closet, coffee. We didn’t cook while we were there but they had an assortment of small appliances like crockpot as well! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!

Don't Hesitate!

Three of us, one child and two adults, had an excellent stay at Blueberry Haven. The unit was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The well supplied kitchen offered everything we needed for meal preparation and we made short work of the blueberry jam provided. This was a perfect base for exploring Seward and the surrounding area.

WE'VE USED VRBO FOR MULTIPLE STAYS OVER THE PAST 20 YEARS. THIS IS UP THERE WITH THE CLEANEST UNITS WE'VE EVER RENTED. CAN'T FIND ANYTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY. WE COME TO SEWARD EVERY YEAR FOR THE MT MARATHON RACE, AND THIS UNIT IS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR US.
